Tungsten
Does anybody here recommend to grease the brake shims when lowering the calipers back on? My new front pads include a grease packet with a recommendation to grease the shims but I don't know if I need to since those calipers are tight enough already. When I did the rear pads, I did not put any grease on the shims. Should I take it apart again and get some grease on them too?
beastpath
i greased mine, supposed to help against bad noises.
nunya
I use bendix ceramalube(99% thats what its called, and it's purple) on the backside of all brake pads and slide points. Supposed to help with noise as beastpath said, also supposed to give you longer even wearing life of the pads. I would personally use it but it's not a crime if you don't want to. Kingman
I didn't put any grease on mine and my brakes never squeaked once.
Precise1
I'm going to apply some tomorrow. The PO did the brakes and the front sing at about 10 mph when slowing down. It is very annoying... B
