Since I had the exhaust replaced the new pipes seem to have been relocated away from that area...Redesigned maybe? The floor never gets hot at all.

I guess I'll just do the baking sheet fix to get me down to nismo junkys place. although I suspect the last two times I was in that area the hole was there LOL.

Did you check these ? ...i don't know how you call them ...i remember, my mechanic had to refabricate 3 of them on one side and two on the passenger side. ... support the body on the frame... the frame itself was ok but the flooring gave way... 4 on each side hein ? you must be floating under your feet ?

If any of them are going to be bad, its going to be that one. Every other part of the floor and body is in mint condition under there, it's all been undercoated many times as you can see on the frame there. I don't know why that fender well and rocker got so bad. I know why the floor has a hole, that was from my leaky exhaust.

...Difficult to understand, why in Canada, we win the International Rust Trophee... year after year... as if, no other country had to deal with snow, ice and slutch... simply...inconcevable !!

There are alternatives to salting the roads. Like people learning to drive properly. Though we know that will never happen!

So in two weeks I will drive to brantford to help nismojunky and hopefully we can get this rust all patched up. Great time to bring out the mig welder! :fireworx:

...Just like i did (my mechano) ...lot's of cutting and welding (reeveting is not legal anymore in Quebec)... we did all the flooring , driver, passenger, under the back seat ( that was free air conditioning in winter...holes 2'x2' ),rebuilted 6 body supports on the frame, replaced both front fenders, counter panel ( under the hatch door ?) rocker panels, also around the lower frame of the back doors... then, painted and tared everything... it was a lot of work...worthed though...until the accident... at least i know, how and where a Pathfinder rusts...

Happy rebuilding and lots of welding !!

Riveting is illegal there? Damn. Thats how the current "patch" is being held in. This time it will be welded. If not I will rivet as best as I can.

Yes ...in Quebec...i don't know about the other provinces...anyway , you are better of welding (tig or mig ? i am not a welder...)... if you want to keep your truck for a long time...riveting is artisanal but not as resistant...!!
