87PathfinderDude
Well I just got my first pathfinder,a 87 3.0 5 speed SE. I have to tell you ,This thing is a beast,I have not been able to get it stuck yet,and I have really tried LOL. It has high miles, but runs great, has a little valve noise, not sure if its normal or not,but does not affect performance, and is not too noticeable. Interior is almost perfect.I love the styling of this ride. I picked it up for less than a grand . well ,just wanted to say hey. I live in the Dallas Texas area,so if anyone needs anything, just give a shout Josh Edited December 30, 2008 by 87PathfinderDude
Precise1
Welcome Josh!! Yeah, some people don't like them, but bang for the buck, stock or slightly modified, pathys are pretty capable!! What is the mileage and most importantly, when was the timing belt last changed? Might want to take it easy until that's answered... B

I also have no idea when the timing belt was changed last, any idea how much it would cost to replace, along with water pump.It runs perfect though,no misses, smoke ,oil burning, nuthin. Josh welcome to the family as for cost....... t'belt, t'stat, & h2o pump around $70 (do not get anything other than the recommended t'stat for your rig) do NOT wait on the t'belt, could be the worst mistake you ever make. change it NOW Edited December 30, 2008 by Slick

Josh I bought my 87 with 196k on it...it ran until 225 when i broke a TB (replaced valves and the TB and she was on her way) and then ran until about 250k when a metal shard fell into the cylidner while doing a plug change...she still ran strong but knocked...great trucks... I've had my 87 for 9 years now (since i was 16) and don't plan to get rid of it ever Edited January 7, 2009 by unccpathfinder
