Rust Converter / Remover

I was reading about Por-15, but that seems more like a direct "paint over" solution... I'm looking for something you can spray / brush /glop on and it'll, literally, eat the rust without destroying good metal - this is only for areas I can't really get a grinder into.

Any suggestions?

Kitt, I hav e used POR 15 with excellent results as have others on motorcycle forum that I frequent for gas tank preservation on vintage motocyles. I have no complains with the the fuel tank preservation products and I would think their other products would be just as good. Word of caution don't get it on anything that you don't want to paint as the only way off is with abrasives.

There is a converter made by Jasco that I used. It was an acid (like Naval Jelly), but it converted the iron oxide into a different inert compound. Like Naval Jelly, you had to wash this stuff off after, but it left the metal in a state that you didn't have to paint it imediately (Naval Jelly simpley eats the rust leaving bare metal that can rust again instantly).
