Tire Carrier Disassembly for Paint

I am going to have my tire carrier stripped and powder coated. In order to do that I must take it completely apart. How do you take apart the hinges? Will that be obvious once I get it off the truck? Will I need new bushings or whatever to put it back together?

Somebody did a top notch "how-to" on this a while back. I'll have to search you do the same. Good pics, good instructions just a nice job overall.

i SANDBLASTED and painted mine. never took apart the hinges. just moved them when it was wet too keep it form craking when it dried but powdercoating may be another story.

I had done a search before, but apparently didn't search the garage section, which is where I found the fore-mentioned article. I do search before asking questions, but not the right area, in this case anyways.
