protodiarko7
i'll post pictures tomorrow! i haven't taken any yet, been too busy driving it. but it's 1988 with the odo reading 204,100. it's got a little bit of rust and some minor problems i need to fix, but that's alright, just keeps me from being bored. i think the clutch is slipping though. but i'm not sure. first gear is pushing high RPMs at 15mph on flat road. second gear doesn't do much more than 25 mph. 3rd gear and on feels normal for the most part. either it's slipping, or maybe someone used it for offroading before and put lower gearing in it? it's got some older ranchero suspension and such. i'm new to pathfinders and offroading and mechanics in general, so excuse my lack of wisdom. but if anyone has some wisdom about this matter or anything else, i'd be very pleased. Nope that's how they're geared from the factory. I have an auto so my gearing is slightly different (4 speed auto), but second maxes out in the high 30's. Just wait until you take it offroad and put it in 4lo! Redlining at around 5mph in first!
