350 Heart Transplant

Hey All...

Well recently i just blew up my stock V6 outta my 95 Pathy... So ive decided to drop a 350 into it. Just wondering if anyone here has done that yet.. and if so, what kind of problems should i expect to see...

Well, 1st off you should get better mpg than the previous v30

clearence is a huge problem its gonnta be tight then there is the tranny and then electronics. i have a 94 chrystler concord, blew the 4 cyl engine and dropped in a 302 from a chevy and thats what we ran into.

Engine mounts/trans mounts need to be fabbed

Exhaust headers/manifolds are very tight

Little to no radiator clearance

Distributor clearance at firewall

Speedo/cable/sensor won't match Chevy trans

If you go with a full Chevy drivetrain, you also get to mod both driveshafts

 

I dunno, there's a lot of things to be done for a 350 swap to work. Just takes time and money.

Just do a sas at the same time, prolly make it easier

if that looks like too much work/cost...i've got a vg for sale...all u need to do is swap out u're intake and u'll be good to go

why not just put a 4.3 v-6 out of a s-10 in. perhaps there won't be as many clearance issues. that's what i'm planning when my engine goes. just my .02.
