Sheesh, your dad ABANDONED her! Give me a break, dude. And get the F over yourself. I sure know what I would do. I'd accept her as my sister and be there to help her future be better than her past. That would explain much to her and her response could well do the same. Then I would have rented a movie for the wife and I to watch... That would be awkward, but he just met the person. Even if he doesn't approve or feels wierd, just STFU and avoid interacting with her. The guy acts like he's never known (or kept) someone elses secrets.
