They're poorly designed and have been known to fail, letting dirt and debris shoot right through the engine. There's a reason they only cost like $4... What, are you serious? What oil filter is good then? OEM is usually made by a major company probably WIX, so yes carry on soldier. Ha! Should have kept reading.. Ok, who sells'em? Advanced? Checkers? AutoZone? Damn, now I'm scared. I just changed it three days ago. I guess I'll let this ride for now, til then. Having seen all these opened, except the Mobil, they are all crimped nicely at the seam and have rubber anti-bypass gaskets. Fram is not crimped at all, and uses a cardboard gasket inside.
