How to get passenger side rear cargo panel off?
Pezzy replied to big_johnson's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I havent had it RIGHT off, but I did yank it out enough to run wiring behind before, and pretty much that's all I did, was yank it out, and it let go of some of the (insert technical word that wont come to my feeble brain now for those little plastic whatzits that snap in on interior parts) came loose... -

You were a big part of that thread.... let me do a search... I recall SOMEONE refering to my path as the bitchy edition in that thread, so I should be able to find it pretty quick...

Plates are New Brunswick, so east coast... yeah those tire say either offroad, or overkill for groceries too... crawl under there and see if there are other dents or scratches on the cross members or the gas tank skidplate.... well, could you take it to a dealer or mechanic to have a once over and give you a second opinion? It does seem pretty rusty underneath, compared to mine (mine's muddy tho!) as per above, how does it drive? any noises?? R50's are known for the struts to go... when I bought mine they had to replace them. If you want an idea of pricing, look up the model & year on www.autotrader.ca and look up the average price... also, look at others with similar km's on them. Chillkoot does have a few extra toys over the XE, although I dont know what they are offhand... there is a thread in the R50 section on the differences.

yup my 99.5 has that too

Cuz Jay's from Montreal (I think), they steal everything on wheels there
-
maybe his tumblers were fuggered? in my pick up, the lock looked fine, it worked with the key. but it also worked with a flathead screwdriver.
-
i think this thread is a trap, to see which of us know how to steal a car... next up, I lost my keys, how do you hotwire a neon?

Hi there, I dont think you'll get a lot of info about the diesel engine here, as most of us are from North America, and are not lucky enough to get the diesel engine as an option... I suppose in general the diesel engines are loud compared to gas, but it's a sound one could get used to (we have a diesel Jetta as a daily driver... it's loud!) I test drove one of the newer pathy's a while ago, and never had any issue with the seat, but I would guess that would depend on the driver's preference... I would suggest you take one out for a test drive, and see for yourself... Welcome to the board! I hope some of the owners of the 05/6 pathy's can give you some more insight.

Thanks... looks pretty good...
-
stupidest thing, but I fell for it a few weeks ago myself... did you hit the dimmer switch to off?
-
are your diff breathers & what not all extended, and up out of waters way?
-
me too... ok, I noticed the head of the snorkel on some of the other pics you posted before seem really low, but I guess for you guys being right hand drive, it doesnt matter much... can you do me a favour, and sit in your passenger seat, and tell me how annoying it might be to look around when driving from the side I would sit on. I already find the pillar, and the ventshades a PITA to look around when making left had turns. Thanks!!

Looking forward to install pics & the finished product!

*yawn* internet drama is lame... Jay, if you want to be part of the board.... please do... you know the set up, try a search, ask some questions... help yourself out, and we'll help you too. I think people have more than voiced their opinions on this all...

lmao@ "and pezz" who meee????
-
dude, you fell for all that bs talk? *shakes head and walks away*

velcro TEAR THE BUGGER OFF I TELL YA!

Where in Canada are you? I did have a buddy that had a set he wanted to get rid of... I'm in Toronto...
-
I would say they would fit, as the sliders that 4 crawler makes uses the stock mounting points and fits the older & newer pathys.... Vengeful?? you know?
-
I know some guys that have wheeled with stock trucks & tires and still have some fun off road... momentum and a bit of giver in the right place will get you places. If you only have a bit of cash to spend, I would say go with a set of AT's, as you will also appreciate them in the winter if you live in a snowy climate.

So you want to lift your 96-up Pathy?
Pezzy replied to BigBikeMike's topic in R50 FAQ's & Pinned Topics
mm... like a tube coming out of the rear differential?? if thats it - that would be your breather tube, you will want that attached... it will keep crap out of your diff if you go in deeper water/mud. if not, I have no idea wtf youre talkin bout willis... -
ARB Sahara Bar 02/99 on. will it fit earlier R50?
Pezzy replied to OzMattie's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I love you too Dan. rmd, like vengeful said, you either have to be very lucky to come across one, build one, get the ARB, or wait for BlackPanther... -
yeah, you can always count on that guy to post up some good info...
