  1. Yeah, It doesn't take much water to hydrolock your truck... I've been in up to and past my headlights, but I hit the water slow & also be sure to create a bow wave in front of me, so the water in my engine bay stays low... Couple years ago one of the guys in our club hydrolocked his truck whipping thru puddles on one of the 'fireroads' at Rausch Creek... we all blasted thru it, but he managed to hit it at such a speed/angle/stroke of bad luck, it hit the airbox, blew a hole through the airfilter. They were picking bits of airfilter out of places you'd never imagine it could get. Since then, I avoid that urge to whip thru even the most innocent looking puddles... Sorry to hear about your luck... hopefully you can fix it with out too much of a financial kick in the ass.
  2. wow, I figured out the search function (this time) http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=12957
  3. I think I am going to get the spelling wrong -- but I believe they are called "cowels"? Its not uncommon for them to go MIA, even after replacing... I know a few guys have gotten inventive with replacement parts...
  4. trouble maker :P

  5. Vengeful had to rewire his, as the plugs didnt match up -- the older R50's need them as signals... I could have made mine running lights or signals... to make them signals - I had to splice mine into the side markers. Well, the ARB is a nice bumper, and I wouldnt regret buying it if I were you-- as they dont make the TJM anymore... both my bumper & Vengeful's were lucky finds. Not sure of the weight on the TJM... maybe 100 lbs??
  6. sure, just paint the pathy white to match the sticker
  7. Yeah, I'm not a fan of the updated search function... it's really fussy... try the advanced search options... http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?s=&amp...mode=adv&f= and plunk this in the search: +crank +"torsion bars"
  8. uh huh.... and are you going?
  9. Well exactly why I said, if it turned out to be a decent sized event, and we knew well in advance, yeah, I'd love to come...
  10. Ditto to the far... if it was a year out or the like, where I could plan now & start saving, I'd love to drive out west & meet the rest of the NPORA gang.
  11. Good thing those lakes keep us far apart! Good to hear things are looking up for you Marcel!

  13. LMFAO@ B I remember that thread too... I am finding the search function on the new board to be even worse than before.
  14. Funny enough, I noticed mine is cracked this weekend... no idea how that happened.
  15. lmfao@phantom bastard Nice pics, I SO wanna go there.
  16. To be honest -- there was more info on the AC, and a lot more experience thru other owners on the board with them.
  17. 88, you missed some of the oldies... one for Dan when he's not in Rochester: One for Trainman and what collection would be complete without:
