That would be hard to miss... he has an R50. Ditto for the bent frame... he has no frame... could check the subframe?? I dunno if that would do that.

Problem is the avatars can only be uploaded from your computer... have a lookie, it reads Upload a new image from your computer I think 88 revised it a while ago, so we dont end up with people uploading large files.

I have heard, and this is now being relayed by someone who doesnt know anything about CB's (other than I might recognize one in a crowd) that having the antenna on the roof is a good thing, for one, you are up high, and also, appearently it can use the roof of your truck to bounce, or reflect the airwaves. But, you may take that idea with a bottle or two of headlight fluid. Herm, you may want to look at upgrading your CB... I have a cobra handheld CB (although not hard wired for power or antenna) and it was only good in very close range, it didnt go much further than I could see. I know Cobra has a decent hand held which has the 'base' in it, I hear they are not too bad: http://www.durhamradio.com/s/product.php?p...cat=1695&page=2

The K 40 was awesome actually, and theyre typically not cheap. I had the magnamount, and usually I disconnected it if I was at the mall, or in an underground, or a sketchy place (I shoulda known better the day mine got swiped)...

you got the magnet mount? where do you want the antenna? I had my old magnamount K40, rear centre... ran the wire to the back above the door sills (pull out the rubber trim/weather stripping, and you'll have to pull down/back some of the plastic trim....) then out the back hatch. I put a big piece of clear 3M plastic sticker down under the base, as some jackassholes ripped mine off (while I was christmas shopping) they dragged it down the roof, and scratched the hell out of it.

if you have an auto, there is a hole on the drivers side covered by a plate, Ive ran the wiring for the CB PA speaker, and lights thru it...

That's not so bad, means you wont leave the CB on accidently when you leave the truck parked, and drain the battery. Dunno how much juice these pull...

all the cool kids are doing it no wait I have one... well, if you wheel, or ever do road trips with a group theyre great to communicate from truck to truck... otherwise, I have enjoyed having mine, I leave it on the trucker channel, Ive learned all sorts of new bad words and dirty jokes from them, also, theyve saved my butt time in traffic, when there's a back up, they often radio e/o to see what it is, and how to avoid it, and Ive asked myself a few times.

I suppose it depends on what kind of site it will be... is it something like this board, just more regional?? maybe start with the types of things you look for in a club/site/forum...
