  1. I wish I knew more and i am sorry to post non tech help, but just the idea of that vq in our pathy's is enough to make legs weak with excitment! -Lex
  2. I think I got you all... This is my rc pathfinder project, that i have been working on: http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=4654621 http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=4654619 and here are all my electronics http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=4654627 its about the length of a coke can, and should be a very capable descktop crawler The body is from Aoshima Hobbies, they have a Terrano model but you'll have to get it off ebay or from Japan. -Lex
  3. Haha witty, It's also an acronym for role playing game . -Lex
  4. For all you fellow Rpg'ers this is a pretty cool game. It takes a bit to get started, but its fairly in depth. Have fun and don't get mugged! -bounce- http://www.wastelandwar.com/register.php?REF=1751 -Lex P.S. It's still not as good as that Frvade game that went around the forum a while ago you guys remember that? sly
  5. I beleive they proved that wrong on mythbusters as a side question to go along with the tail gate issue on pickups. -Lex
  6. To elaborate futher on what SC 88 about reversing Baja claws: It really depends on the terrain, In mud the tires will perform better in the stock direction because they can clean themselves more easily and on rocks the advantage of reversing the tires is that the tread pattern can grab jagged edges better, but they also tend to hop more. Never drive on the road with the tires reversed, I think they are only DOT legal in the stock direction and if it rains the tires will hydroplane very easily in the reversed direction. I hope that came out right, It's early! -Lex
  7. Boker, I am in that exact same situation. College=No spare cash, This summer I am going to try and revamp alot of the steering components with L&P parts. Like Mookie said grab the steering upgrades and have fun. Wait to do a SAS until you have a good amount of excess cash and time. Why not grab a little gas miser for a daily driver and save the gas savings toward new pathy parts? That's what I'd like to do.
  8. Dang great question im interested in this too. I need a new fender and $75 is the cheapest I can find. Sorry for no help info in my post. -Lex
  9. Two Whites for me, is paypal going to be the payment method?
  10. I saw that mine was broken too when I took off my rear sway bar yesterday. What a coincidence.
  11. Haha, thats so weird I checked Calmini not even 4 days ago and it had no update for the SAS. I agree with Filthy, I remember how long it took for the X kit to come out from when the rumors started floating around. Well at least it means we are slowly but surely getting there.

I found these great pics. They may be a litlle old but they have a wide variety of awsome trucks. Also there are quite a few nissans if you hunt for them! http://forum.autohoje.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=66478 -Lex
  13. I have a pair of Hella 500 driving lights, personally I think they are excellent. They do not have the range of my Kc daylights, but that is because the daylighters are 100watt spots. They have excellent spread and a distance of about 1000ft, relatively. The Hellas run for about $65.00 and are about 5 inches in diameter. These lights are not rectangular though, but they will probably give your car a cool rally look . I would post some pics, but cardomain seems to be down. This is a site with info and pics, but I would not buy them from here: http://www.autobarn.net/hel500higper3.html OR If you didn't have a budget, Warn has a series of lights that can be driving or offroad spots with a flick of a switch. I think those are pretty cool, but I have never like the look of their lights. They are kinda futuristic and transformer-like. I really like the idea though! -Lex
  14. When it came time for changing my shocks, I was forced to get Monroe Sensa-tracs. These are a great on road shock, they are comfortable but do not allow as much body roll. They do not flex as well as I would like, but then again the are more for the road oriented trucks. I beleive they are also relativley inexpensive if I remember correctly. Good luck with your choice.
  15. ^Me too, just lsd for me
  16. I have a 95' and my mom has a 02' 2wd Le its pretty much an aggressive car but she loves it. I need my 4x4.
  17. I have been thinking about this very same mod, I would imagine that the swap would be easy. When looking at the junkyard for a grill, you could take some pictures of the mounts and compare them to the pathy mounts. Also if you get a chance try to grab some of those little plastic screw things. I have managed to chew them up with a screwdriver, when i had to remove my grill at one time.
  18. I hope that buy 3 get 1 free deal lasts for a while. My wittle a/t tires still have to much life to replace. I really like those tires though. I have seen them in person and they are pretty sweet.
  19. Finally, those are some great looking bumpers. I can't wait to see them fab a pathy bumper. :secret:
  20. Well I went to wally world and got one. It is about the coolest rc I have ever owned, but then again I have only had radio hack products. Its a blast! I'm in my dorm so its kinda hard to make some obstacles, but I did managa to climbup a small mountain of pillows that I made. I may go find a few rocks and devote a corner of my room as a small rockcrawl course. The suspension works great. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow...maybe even a video. It's gonna be great for dorm fun, I'll see if I can give her a real test tomorrow. BTW I got the Jeep, and it definately needs a new paint job.
  21. Wow, I didn't know we had so many rc hobbiests! I almost bought an overland but like you said they are only 2wd. I wish those bigger trucks weren't so expensive  but you get what you pay for.
  22. These things are pretty sweet. They are about $40 Walmart so they aren't gonna break the bank. They also look pretty darn capable for their size and price. Here's a video: http://www.rcpics.net/view_single.php?medid=63152 and yes those are Mickey Thompson Baja Krawlers STANDARD! Axles are locked already and they run a AAcell Battery pack. They are basically designed like a Mini-Clod(Motor on Axle x2) the only drawback is the Non-Proportional Gas and Steering. :cool2:
  23. ^Thats what I did. Foglights are small enough mount just about anywhere.
  24. I'll take a pic tonight and post it, i have 2kc daylighters on top, 2 hella 500s, and fogs and heads. here it is:
