  1. When I took mine temporarily off, it was a simple operation. Just make sure you have the right tools, some of the bolts are hard to get at without ratchet extensions. Putting them on is a bit harder, especially by yourself
  2. Naw, cable stretch is normal. You just have to re-adjust the cable tension to get it back on track And speaking of skateparks/urban riding, check out the biking link in my sig.
  3. You could get 265/60R17's, if you wanted to keep the same overall diameter, or go with 265/65R17 if you wanted 31's. I'm not sure if tire rack has either of these exact sizes, but I'm sure they have something close that will fit
  4. Yeah, the lowers are the only ones you need to replace to fix the swaying. The uppers need to be replaced if you hear/feel a clunk under acceleration/stops. I'm assuming you went through 3 sets of the Nissan rubber bushings, right? Polys should last a while
  5. He wrote 3.5 L, not I. I use 85 octane in my 3.3 here around denver, but 3.3's require lower octane to begin with. If you're not experiencing any pinging/knocking when you get on the gas, then I don't think the engine is being harmed. So I'd say keep doing what you're doing, and just up the octane if you start hearing pinging
  6. Even though the Titan accelerates more quickly than the dodge? well.. he wants to tow with it.. not race as far as I can tell (may be mistaken) if you want a race truck.. whip out the cash and get the SRT 10.. omg... those are FUN FUN FUN to drive..... -bounce- I was merely pointing out that the Titan would be the truck of choice for towing and "pony power", not that it would be a race truck.
  7. I have the Toyo open country's also. While they are a great tire when new, their performance (offroad, at least) deteriorates considerably when they wear. And they seem to wear more quickly than some other A/T tires, unfortunately. However, their snow performance is still great, as good as when they were new.
  8. Yeah, I can kind of see where there could be gaps that the pics don't show well, but then again, maybe his definition of "huge gaps" would be something we would find totally acceptable over here But you're right, looks like it fits well, almost like it was made for the R50
  9. I think that can be said for pretty much everything on Keith's truck What brand is that snorkel on the blue pathy? It looks to be a Japanese spec vehicle, it is another example of something they get overseas that we would have a heck of a time getting over here?
  10. Even though the Titan accelerates more quickly than the dodge?
  11. A fair amount of people have been pointing towards the Tundra. While its reliability and quality are certainly top notch, seems to me that it's a bit behind in the pick-up game. The 4.7 I-force v8 just can't keep up (power-wise, that is) with the newer offerings from other companies. And didn't Toyota just recently add full size reare doors? Other trucks have been sporting those for a while. Heck, even the smaller tacoma had 4 full doors before the tundra. The body styling of the Tundra is becoming dated also, seems like it may be time for toyota to do a little revamping. Of course, as has been said many times in this thread, it's your money and truck in the end, and this is just my 2 cents (give or take )
  12. Monster T huh? Thats a dang beefy fork . Zokes are sweet though, I have a DJ3 on my P.2, and i'm planning on getting a super t to throw on the incoming (hopefully soon) DH bike. Colorado riders: where are you guys located/planning on moving to? There is certainly some sweet riding to be found all over the state, my favorite ride so far was the Rage in the Sage race at the Hartman Rocks in Gunnison
  13. Yep, that's what I spend most of my spare time doing. I'm on the CSU cycling team, its been a blast. I currently ride a Trek 4600 (mostly stock), a Specialized P.2 (beefed up for dirt jumping duties), and I'm hopefully buying an Intense M1 for downhill racing in the upcoming season.
  14. Back on subject, the 4 wheel drive mags have been raving about the Titan since it came out (didn't it receive the Truck of the year award?). However, the Ram is also a solid rig. Have you thought about the power wagon ram (or whatever variant they call it)? F/R lockers, 12K lb winch, 33's, etc. In that matchup, I think I'd have to take the Dodge. I don't beleive either would be a bad choice, but if you go Dodge, we'll have to heckle you and call you a traitor
  15. well, 265/70R16's are equivalent to 31x10.5, which will fit, though with some minor rubbing. Those are the widest of the ones you listed, so they are the biggest overall tire you could go. Mileage might suffer a bit because of the larger footprint (which means greater friction b/t tires and ground), but it shouldn't be a huge difference.
  16. Yeah, you probably wont notice much. But, K&N's are lifetime long filters, right? So you'll save in the long run and slightly increase the engine's airflow
  17. well, 265/75R15's are the metric equivalent of 31's. 265/70R15's, like I have right now, are the stock size and are equal to 30x10.5. The tires won't really impact gearing, since the change would be so small. Most have reported a drop in mileage, anywhere from .5 to 2 mpg.
  18. Nice Now I definitely have to get those springs this summer. Looks like some 31's would compliment your truck well now
  19. Those were my feelings exactly. I think it was worth it, for me anyways. I don't have access to the necessarry presses, etc. required for the job.
  20. Yep, they would stick out further than stock. I'm not sure about brake clearance issues though. If the QX4 has the same exact brakes as the pathy's, then you'll be fine. However, since the QX4 is more luxury/on-road oriented, it wouldn't surprise me if Infiniti put slightly larger brakes on. That could be the reason for the larger stock rims on the QX4. Or not. I'm just speculating, you could just take some measurements and determine clearance
  21. Very nice, that color scheme is sick . You may want to let the springs settle before you go trying on 33's though, otherwise they may fit now, but won't down the road
  22. They bent it as close to stock as they could near the axle, then just routed it away from the hitch/spare tire then straight out the back. So far, I haven't had any clearance issues, the pipe is high up enough over the axle that it doesn't hit when flexing, and it is far enough from the spare tire that the rubber doesn't get burned. I know what you're saying with the pipe diameter changing with the bending though. Mine probably got only as small as 2" above the axle, but it's still there. The only way to get rid of that is to have the pipes mandrel (hehe, there we go...) bent, but that costs much more. On our 3.3's, I'm sure the piping really makes minimal difference.
  23. True, but my hitch hurts the departure angle more than my straight-back exhaust, so it generally scrapes/hits before anything else.
  24. 3" outlet, huh? Did you lose any low end torque? Generally, 2.5" is considered the max you want to go, but that applies to the VG series. I'm not sure what the guidelines are for the VQ engines. I suppose that the Z's and G35's aftermarket exhausts use rather large piping
  25. 14 whp? No way. More like 5-8 crank hp. 4% increase in economy? Possibly. Say you get 16 mpg currently, a 4% increase would bump you to 16.64 mpg, a reasonable expectation. I saw about a .5 to 1 mpg increase with my "custom" intake, so I would beleive that claim.
