  1. here ya go, I dont know if they carry what you need, but seems like a pretty good site
  2. Has anyone ever thought of swapping an older 31 spline H233B into an R50 in place of the 33 spline one? It seems like this may be a good idea, since most (all?) of the WD21's have disc brakes in the rear, and have many more locker options available. Would there be any major reason to avoid doing this? How about the ABS still working? This wouldn't be a top priority on my list, but it is something interesting to consider. Any thoughts?
  3. I'm not sure about the 99.5+ fitment, but there are other safari bars available for your Pathfinder, check out some pathys on cardomain, I've seen one (98?) there with a safari bar. Another thing to consider about the fitment: A member here is making skid plates, and just one design will be able to fit all 96+ pathfinders, so depending on where the bar mounts, a 99.5+ may fit on a 98.
  4. yeah, we've got the drive flanges up front, constant CV rotation
  5. some say that a well oiled foam filter works just as well as any other ones, others are completely opposed to them. It's your call. However, another option to look into would be a weapon-r filter, which is also foam. I haven't heard anything about these HKS's though. There are no headers currently available for our pathfinders, Stillen used to make some but discontinued them. As for exhaust, do a little search (muffler, exhaust, performance, etc.), there have been numerous posts about different options
  6. I've seen much greater gains on the highway than the city with mine on. Almost no difference in the city, maybe .5 mpg. But I think I have gotten the claimed 2 mpg increase on the highway.
  7. You want this? Get new springs, shocks, and struts. Then get wheels with less backspacing. Ought to satisfy you for a bit
  8. Our rear axle is the H233B. I'm sure there is a way of seeing this on the vehicle, but I just learned it by listening to others. I'm 99% sure that we have 33 splines, but hopefully someone else can chime in and confirm this. AFAIK, the only locker available is the ARB air locker, and that is $$$. And if you have factory limited slip, then you would have to find a new carrier w/o LSD for the locker to fit in there.
  9. yeah, what is the price for the one piece super skid? Sorry if you said it and I missed it, but I've been gone for a little while
  10. If you don't plan on offroading, you dont need new shocks (since you wont be flexing or anything, so the shocks wont top out with the new ride height), but if you are running stock shocks and want a stiffer ride, then I definitely suggest a new pair. Ranchos would be a good choice, but you could go with OME shocks or the more expensive blisteins as well.
  11. here ya go...Rocky-road You just have to find your way through to the OME suspensions, then click on the Pathfinder ones heres another couple of websites with owners that have installed the OME springs: Project Pathfinder (click on suspension) and purple lizard
  12. I hear they ride stiffer than stock, and you may need longer shocks. If you haven't ordered them already, another consideration would be Old Man Emu springs, they give 1" of lift and are also stiffer. I just think that 2" of lift in the rear might give the car a goofy stance, but its your call
  13. Taillights, yes. I have them on my pathy. Brushguard, maybe, but the bumper is different between the two vehicles so I don't know. Headlights? Not sure

    VG33B?

Here is something I found on the Nismo website: "These camshafts are designed for the VG30I, VG30E, or VG33B engines. Camshafts have a smooth idle and a more powerful mid range. They are perfect for extra towing power when installed in Pickups and Pathfinders. Valve lift and duration are indicated in ( ). Cams are sold as a set. " What the heck is a VG33B? I thought all 3.3 litres were VG33E's? Is this just a typo, or another engine entirely?
  15. Wouldn't it be, "the search function is my friend" ? Seriously though, are you the original owner? If so, and if you haven't put a locker in, then it doesn't have one. I don't think any pathfinders have factory lockers.

    Engine Mods

Doug Thorley headers...does this mean that they could fit on a VG33E...?

    LSD

oops, my bad. Looks like I got the two switched around

    LSD

One simple thing I forgot to add...If your LSD is working, you should be able to jack up the rear end of your truck, spin one tire, and the opposite tire should spin the opposite way. If this doesn't happen, you have a problem. Another thing to consider is the fact that LSD's wear out after time, so if you think yours isn't working well, you may want to get a new one.

    LSD

I think the factory LSD's from Nissan come pretty loosely set, so it takes a bit of wheel spin from one tire for it to engage and give power to the other tire. As for one tire in the air, that tire without traction should be the first one to spin, and if the LSD is working the other tire will start spinning after the first tire has spun a certain amount. I've found that when I lose traction in the rear, it works well when I give it a little gas so one of the rear tires spins a decent amount, then the LSD engages the other tire so I let off the gas and gain some traction.
  20. Actually, that isn't my car, its another Pathfinder I found on cardomain. I just wasn't sure what halo gauges were, but they kind of looked like white faced gauges, so I wanted to see if that was what you were talking about. But there are a few places that sell white face gauges for pathfinders, can't think of them off the top of my head right now though. Here is the link to that guys cardomain page if you want to ask him: clicky clicky
  21. Wait, are those kind of like these...
  22. what is the estimated pricing for these things? BTW, those are some sweet offroading pics
  23. The guy prototyping it over on AC's board, Martin, hasn't said anything about it for a while. Actually, he's more concerned about adding his supercharger right now, so we'll see
