jsut one more question to ask here before i take this on.........with the pathy sway problem.......would there be anything else that could/would make the pathy sway/death wobble... anything in the fornt end.....cus i now have this anoying bounching sound from my passenger front wheel....thanx guys

Well from looking around on the net coil springs from 4x4parts look like the better deal for $145 per pair for medium duty springs....which should cost me round $300 shipped..... the shocks and struts are new well since march.....should i do anything for those?? also looking at bushings going poly since i got the pathy wobble back in the 6 months that i put new factory lower arms on.....also lookin under the front i saw that some links have torn bushings so im going to do those too... how hard is it to do the bushings on the front sway bar and lower conrtol arms in the front....anyone have a line for some polys for the front for 97 pathys.....all i see are gens prior and after the 97's...... after looking i cant seem to find a complete tear down and replacement of the front struts and coil springs is there anything out there on the website or the net that can be helpful??? or should i get my mech to do it??

got check engine light for ""evap control system purge valve C fault"".....any thing i need ot be worried about......what does it do and how to fix??

thing is i dont need or want a 2 inch lift ........ keepin it stock

Latly been having the floating and pathy wobble again.........and i just changed the lower control arms early this year......march i think.....i do not do much off roading if any......mainly medians and yards and what not being a volly firefighter.....i have been looking and at posts and cant find the info i need or i dont see it no lift everything stock and has 197XXX miles on them with being a 97 im assuming the springs are what i get the floating feeling from....where do i get sum beefed up springs from to corect this..... can i get the control arms with poly bushins pre installed.....how hard is it to put poly in to the ones i have now?? what all is needed to do with the fron suspension in a rebuild?? any help would be great guys thanx

Latly i have felt this vibration and i have tracked it down to the engine......cuz well i kno its the engine.....the vibration is coming from the front. it happens only when the truck is sitting still in gear at a light or stop sign......in atempt to fix it i have seafoamed the oil and changed it....cleaned out the throtle body with a carb cleaner and a old toothbrush....and sprayed carm cleaner in the intake hose that goes to the idle conrol valve......but non of that has fixed the rough idle.....there are no codes showing either.....i also have stalled whenever i drive for long distance.....i was told by a friend that i may be a fuel pump problem idk guys what do you think....

not going to be going offraod much.....no water......my intake was fskced up by the ppl that orked on it before i hade the car......was going to make a cold ai in take to save me money from buyin a neew box to manifold.

anyone done a cold air intake for the pathy????looking to do one for mine andyone have pointers where to place and what kits to use if any thanx mates.....

latly i have been having problems with the power steering......wondering if anyone esle too and got answers..... the symptoms are when i either start out or im slowing down in to a turn i get squeaking and when i turn it feels like somthing is pushing me back..... i think there is air pockets in the fluid?? possible maybe water is in it or sumthin else......the fluid looks dirty......does anyone have the specs on how to flush it out with out taking it to a shop.....and should i if i flush it use a dex 3 tranny fluid in it # 2 been getting some intermidant missin in the engine.....idk what could be causing..... while stopped with it in drive the rpms will drop sometimes causing a stall unless i rev the engine.....what would cause this any takers......i have no idea. thought bout changing plugs and wires maybe even the distbutor cap.....but idk

not the type of rack im looking for......from what i have seen latly ill prolly be making it myself i have a idea drawn outon some graph paper so we'll see thanx guys.

First off, im looking to put a rack up on my 50. For those that have them what are the do's and dont's to them. First time thinking about having one on a vehicle that i actually own....I know that it will affect milage a lil but we never thought were gonna get great miliage with our vehicles....lol And how much you guys spent on these racks please add pix if possible or links to pix. Second......just looking for opinions on the AT REVO by Bridgestone for 265/70/15 on stock alloy rims. Third....I keep hearing about AC Springs....are these the best to get to replace old warn out OE springs? I am wanting to keep my 50 pretty much stock for being a 97' SE 4X4. How much lift will i get and will it effect the front cv's? Fourth....latly everyonce in a while when brakeing i hear a pop out of the front end.....anyone off the top of there head havea idea what it could be im thinking ball joints.......am i right? well before i even got on to this wonderful site i had some monroe struts and shocks put on the truck.... which sux......heavy duty springs would be good because im a fire fighter and i carry gear with me at all times..... where would a good place to get those from?? i just got some OEM lower trailing arms done......poly bushings?? whats the diffrence with oem.... im a college student and work part time due to school schedual and a vol fire fighter...so cheaper i can get these the better.....but i do not want to skimp on quality...

yea shes a 12 year old rig.....other than it just being annoying......the only thing is a little pop when i come to a stop while braking....im thinkin that is the ball joint....am i right??? also want to get her a lil more tighter suspension....what all do i need to do for that......

ok i looked at the arms that i have on the pathy now and i can physically move the arm with what is on there......now i just received my new parts looked at the bushings......i can move them.... am i supposed to be able to move them like that???

does anyone know where i can get factory switches that go in the center console???? there are places for switches but i have nothing there just the blanks.....i kno i saw them once and had them on my favorites but had to do a computer restore so its not there anymore.....thanx mates...

does nissan make a stright 6??? that would be a nice swap....cant kill a stright 6....

well i still have a lil bit of the swaying on the highway speeds......went with the KYB's for struts and all so im gonna get some lower arms and put them in as the next project.......and now the EGR valve code comes up......... and yes the valve is shot.......well the diafram is.....so i should get the part in tomorrow and ill prolly get it installed on sat......will make a install pix and everything for my 97 for future ppl to use.....

well i did it.....bought a curt hitch.....like the one that is put on the models with factory hitches......got the hitch, a ball, receiver and trailer electrical stuff for under $250....will post pix of install and stuff when i get it....also found some ipf 868's for $130 and im gonna get those too....ya think thats a good price anyone kno of lower??

for those that have trailer hitches...which ones do you like what to stay away from....i have seen ones with steps....which ones are those.... thanx mates

id rather have a quality bar...that in the off chance i do hit somthing ill beable to drive away......

i have a 97 se pathy......learned that the shocks and struts are dead....so shes grounded until i get them fixed....i have 3 of the 4 parts needed...i bought the parts from advanced auto parts store local to me.... so i got monroe sensa trac front and rear.....are these good....im not going to be doing any serious off roading yet just to get her back on the road so let me kno thanx mates also looking for a definate bull bar.......something that is know to fit the 97 pathy.....i kno ARB does not fit.....anywhere else other than that moutian somethin down in GA also brake pads.....what are your favs...and one to keep away from
