well we should get a NC froup together and do some wheeling......what do you guys think.......dont ahve to be from NC either......would luv to do some light wheeling one weekend or 2 sometime in the next few months....

well before i even got on to this wonderful site i had some monroe struts and shocks put on the truck.... which sux......heavy duty springs would be good because im a fire fighter and i carry gear with me at all times..... where would a good place to get those from?? i just got some OEM lower trailing arms done......poly bushings?? whats the diffrence with oem.... im a college student and work part time due to school schedual and a vol fire fighter...so cheaper i can get these the better.....but i do not want to skimp on quality...

yea shes a 12 year old rig.....other than it just being annoying......the only thing is a little pop when i come to a stop while braking....im thinkin that is the ball joint....am i right??? also want to get her a lil more tighter suspension....what all do i need to do for that......

ok what about the power steering system....

well latly i have herd a squeaking sound when im turning the wheel at low speeds....does anyone have any suggestions.... also since installing the lower trailing arms i still have some wabbleing...more like floating what else should i do with this.....i want to make the truck more stiff....than it is.....thanx mates

well i spent 3 hours on my back under the rear of my truck today......had to get the grinder out and cut away the old rear links, replaced the fuel filter, and got the hitch installed..... so im glad i got that done before the rain started... but who are the mech heads that u kno local here???

ok i looked at the arms that i have on the pathy now and i can physically move the arm with what is on there......now i just received my new parts looked at the bushings......i can move them.... am i supposed to be able to move them like that???

the titty bars here are ******......i go to school @ GTCC taking Fire Science and Emergency Managment....just got on a fire dept local to me here....was driving 50 miles to do duty time at a vollie dept from where i was in high school.....so im glad.....also you kno of anywhere that you trust to do work on ur 4X4 local here on a college budget? or tips and advice??

does anyone know where i can get factory switches that go in the center console???? there are places for switches but i have nothing there just the blanks.....i kno i saw them once and had them on my favorites but had to do a computer restore so its not there anymore.....thanx mates...

does nissan make a stright 6??? that would be a nice swap....cant kill a stright 6....

well i still have a lil bit of the swaying on the highway speeds......went with the KYB's for struts and all so im gonna get some lower arms and put them in as the next project.......and now the EGR valve code comes up......... and yes the valve is shot.......well the diafram is.....so i should get the part in tomorrow and ill prolly get it installed on sat......will make a install pix and everything for my 97 for future ppl to use.....

well i did it.....bought a curt hitch.....like the one that is put on the models with factory hitches......got the hitch, a ball, receiver and trailer electrical stuff for under $250....will post pix of install and stuff when i get it....also found some ipf 868's for $130 and im gonna get those too....ya think thats a good price anyone kno of lower??

for those that have trailer hitches...which ones do you like what to stay away from....i have seen ones with steps....which ones are those.... thanx mates

id rather have a quality bar...that in the off chance i do hit somthing ill beable to drive away......

i have a 97 se pathy......learned that the shocks and struts are dead....so shes grounded until i get them fixed....i have 3 of the 4 parts needed...i bought the parts from advanced auto parts store local to me.... so i got monroe sensa trac front and rear.....are these good....im not going to be doing any serious off roading yet just to get her back on the road so let me kno thanx mates also looking for a definate bull bar.......something that is know to fit the 97 pathy.....i kno ARB does not fit.....anywhere else other than that moutian somethin down in GA also brake pads.....what are your favs...and one to keep away from

ARB does NOT make a bar for the 97 serries pathy's.......i have tired to get them to look in to it and they wont do it nor will they keep a warrenty on it if u do put it on a 97 if u find one to fit.......

ok what about more rectangular square light heads

prolly going with 100 watt bulbs for that extra punch and range........what u think?? im also prolly going to put some wide angle fogs in the area under the turn signals later but want to get that extra range first

these would be basically replacing the existing lights.....and using existing wireing....unless thats a bad idea and having to be completely rewired cause of power draw needs???

I need some extra lighting in the front......as i drive lots of back roads and late at night.....needs to be reativly cheap but not walmart brand cheap......so more of a spotlight/driving light.......that close together will there be problems.... the area in blue is where and the red area i will be cutting out with a dremel or something. so it will basically be 7''X9''......whats better square light head or round light head??

hello mates......i just aquired a 97 pathy SE...with about 170k on the truck and 70-80 on a 2nd engine.......everything else stock......i would love to get a arb bull bar for it but i learned that they didnt make one for my year model.......does anyone kno of a full frontal bull bar similar that would fit a 97 pathy??? would luv to get one....thanx mates
