Thanks I would have still had the other one if someone hadn't decide it'd be fun to turn across my path when I was travelling at 60 mph, bad times, poor truck!
Ouch! Yeah, not much you can do about that...
I recommend buying or having a front bumper made for it. It won't help much at 60mph, but it can keep a 25mph fender bender from totaling the Pathy. The bumpers on these are really just for looks, covering gaps and holding lights. I've had both off, and you can lift them with 1 finger...
Also does anyone have a link to any threads about recommended upgrades to these trucks?
Someone once told me about upgrading/using the intercooler from the Terrano 11?
Any weak points to these trucks I should address/improve?

We are a little light on the the diesel info, but enough Aussies and NZs have chimed in that there is some. I don't recall if there is a dedicated section, but definitely used advanced search and enter your motor designation (2.5l TD) or what ever. You should be directed appropriately...
Replace your strut rod bushings. They're the rear attachment point for the lower control arm, nobody thinks to do them, and they usually look fine until the rod snaps off. There's a thread for rebuilding them with bearing races instead of the stamped metal bushing holders that break off.
Definitely! I argue that these should be 60k mile interval maintenance items, mainly due to the abuse they receive.

Pretty much nothing, as far as I can tell. They did their 93-94 change ('upgrayedd'), left it alone and worked on the R50.
One of the few things that floats to the surface of my febrile mind is that either the '94 or '95 rear LSD diff had the greatest break away force of any H233b. Can't recall the numbers but I know they are here, somewhere...
Otherwise, good to go with all parts that I can think of.

I'm fairly certain those are the stock 'Lego' rims that came with the SE/LE trim vehicles in North America.
I can't think what else the chime would be, it comes on at 50 and is continuously chimes until you drop back under it.
Yeah, I'd be ripping that out on day two...
Congrats on the replacement, make sure you hold on to this one. It looks mighty clean, so take care of it.

Agreed, for that price it should be pristine and probably lower mileage, BUT I don't know what the local market/availability is like either. They are dime-a-dozen out here, rust free.

Congrats on your new vehicle. My take, as an owner of 2 WD21s and an R50 is: SELL IT!
Just kidding... You have the strongest motor and 'updated' looks; as long as it is in decent shape with not too many miles, you'll be happy with this for a long time.
Personally, I'd lift it 2" via springs or spacers, or what ever combination you prefer (new AM springs/struts/shocks are a given though) and run 31"ish tires unless you are shooting for snow plow or snow shoes.
IIRC 15" rims don't fit on the 2001+ due to caliper clearance (some grinding required) but that all comes down to back spacing as well.
With just the stock rims (after the lift), I'd go with something equivalent to 31-32" diameter, 9-11" wide, depending on taste and availability.
From there, I'd check out some under armor... Fleurys, a member here makes some, as well as 4x4parts IIRC.

Good info above, especially about checking the terminals and ground contact, and the electrical nature of the problem.
Do you see any corrosion on any of the contacts, fuses, relays under the hood or in the cab?
Have you checked the wires for the alternator, both contact and wire integrity?

This information is correct, about mid 1993* there was another hated, random Nissan change.
*there have been exceptions
Best bet is to loosen one of the top timing belt covers and have a peek. It can be done without harming anything if you are patient and have a tool or two. I believe the LH (US drivers) side is the easier, and flashlight/mirror is highly advised.
As for the best place for Canadian parts, 5 miles from the US border or talk to Rob Lacy (Alkorahil) at the dealership in Texas (yes, Texas). He'll ship you everything you need at the best prices available.

I had the Z24 in a 1984 D720 king cab 4x4. Best vehicle I ever owned and that motor never let me down.

Our throttle used to be sticky shut, usually cold weather, and once I cleaned the throttle plate it basically went away. Something to consider...

Ok, time to wrap this up (I finally remembered when it wasn't raining).
The gap on the throttle stop (when cold) was somewhere between .044-.048" (1.1-1.2mm). It was a little hard to tell exactly, because I had to double up feeler gauges and there isn't much room to work.
I don't know what you mean by throttle opener, but this is what my set up looks like.
I can take any other pictures or measurements that you might need, but I think this should put you in the right proximity...

Both RedPath88 and MY1PATH repaired theirs by cutting in a new keyway 180 degrees off, IIRC. Both still work fine...
