  1. Don't even worry about it man... If you're set on giving something, NIORA will accept a donation.
  2. Or, maybe, just maybe, we actually like our trucks, and that's why we're here...
  3. I'd take a set of ProComp Explorer Fog Lights as well...
  4. It is possible, but not very practical. It's an awful lot of work for not that much gain. You can do it if you bypass the internal coil and use an MSD external coil. You know the saying Shaun..."With enough time and money...ANYTHING'S POSSIBLE!"
  5. K9...that won't work. I know exactly what the problem is. The noise only occurs going over sharp bumps, correct? (Not like when going over slight irregularites in pavment (not potholes/cracks, but variations in the altitude) in the road) or when the suspension is oscillating smoothly as it would when people would bounce on it.) The noise eminates from ONLY the side of the vehicle to hit the bump. It sounds like it's coming from the cargo area, but in reality, it is coming from just aft of your wheelwells. It is highly probable that the noise you're experiencing is due to worn out stabilizer/sway-bar links. My truck made exactly the same noises you're describing. I took out the links...no more noise! Stabilizer/sway-bar links are about $35-40 each, new from Nissan. An easy way to check if it is your links, is to remove them and see if the noise goes away. If it doesn't, then it's your trailing arm/control arm bushings. Edit to add: Mine started making the noise about the same mileage you have now.
  6. Online Nissan dealer parts dept. http://www.pinnaclenissan.com - print the page for your part and your local dealer must honor the price. Online junkyard stock database: http://www.car-part.com
  7. My 99 does the same thing with the AC. If I brake-torque it and hold the RPMs above 1200 then it stays cold, but if I let it idle, then it gets hot...very hot. I think the combination of my idle control system malfunction (still have to figure that one out), and my fan clutch (which is on the way out) is the culprit. When I do my timing belt in 4k miles (HOLY HELL IT'S THAT SOON!?!?!) I'm going to either replace the fan clutch or install an e-fan...leaning towards e-fan.
  8. I don't think it would work to well. Most of you guys think the front looks good for some unknown reason. Oh, you may call me Orical if you like. If you hate it so much, why do you still own it? -thnkboutit-
  9. Now granted it's not exactly the Off-Road Queen of Jeeps, but I had a 2002 Liberty for 3 weeks right before I got my Pathfinder. Libby, what I had named it, had only 5,000 miles on it, and was traded in for a Tahoe because the owner needed something larger, due to a new baby. Evidently this thing was pampered and treated very well. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the road manners of it. It had decent accelleration (3.7L V6 engine), and handling wasn't terrible. I also liked the way the back opened up (swing up glass, and swing out rear door). It was bright red, which I wasn't a big fan of, but the price was right, $12,500 for an almost brand new Jeep... Now, in the 3 weeks that I had Libby, she developed more rattles, squeaks and groans than the previous owners new baby could have made in it's lifetime. I was NOT happy. Then at 6,000 miles, the starter and alternator both went out (covered under warranty, but still). At 6500, the fuel pump and ignition coil went out, and I started shopping again. The Liberty was the single biggest pile of donkey poo to ever sit in my driveway. And if you scour the w00t thread, you'll see I've owned a LOT of vehicles. I willl NEVER own another Jeep product, ever. Now, that's not to say that I won't wheel with Jeepers, if they're cool, or pull one out, or be pulled out by one, but they are not for me. I like my vehicles dependable.
  10. Go for the SuperSkid (the combination of the two)....I have the 10ga one, and I've smacked it really hard several times and never had an issue with bending or anything. And the shipping weight was only 60lbs.
  11. Solidworks ROCKS...AutoCAD not so much.
  12. I've been trying to avoid this issue for a while now (since before I went to the beach), because I thought it was just a freak occurance. Well, after getting my truck out of the body shop and no change, I figured I'd try to reset the idle using the idle screw. Well, that worked, for about 2 hours. Here's what's going on. When I initially start the truck, it revs up to about 1400RPM, and then dips down to about 200RPM, and it will stabilize somewhere between 450-500RPM, and hold that consistently as the idle point until I shut it off. And it will repeat this start when the truck has sat for a few hours. Also, when I let off the gas going down a hill or coming to a stop, it seems that the truck goes out of gear (at least one would think so by the engine speed, but it doesn't.) Also, when I'm at a stop, the Air-conditioning gets down right hot, but when I'm moving it's ice cold. I was told that the fan clutch may be worn out. I would tend to believe this because when I'm sitting still with the engine running, the AC gets hot (no air moving across the condensor to cool the refrigerant), and the water temp gage starts to climb (again, no air flow across the radiator to cool the coolant). There is also a gnarly belt squeal which as just shown it's ugly face today. Could this be causing the symptoms of the hot A/C/coolant? I tried to set the idle back to 750RPM using the idle adjustment screw, and it did hold 750 for a while, but it's back at 450-500 RPM. There also seems to be a loss of power. :furious: This is on my 99 Pathy with just over 95k miles.
  13. So, Dean...how much are you up to now?
  14. Mine was just an image location on an FTP host... http://www.niora4x4club.com/dan/ParagonAP-...es/img_2672.jpg and about 10 others.
  15. I was trying to post pictures earlier, from a site that I've posted pics from before, and now it says something like the dynamic site in your link is unable to be processed or something like that.
  16. It was about 3' deep, and I had popped up out of it almost straight up, and when my back tires hit the back edge of the hole, it snapped the front end down to the ground with the fury of 10,000 hungry tigers. Then the front end bounced back up into the air about 4'. It wasn't the hole that broke it...it was being snapped down to the ground after the hole that broke it.
  17. Well, I am responsible for the deductible, but that's ok as long as my rates stay the same...haha. The damage only came out to $1800. All they had to do was disassmble the front end, cut off the apron and weld a new one on.
  18. http://www.4x4connection.com carries them, but they do not stock them.
  19. Truck's done...pickin her up tomorrow!
  20. Wooowooo...my truck is ready...picking it up tomorrow...heehaww!
  21. If you get a wild hair, there should be a build sheet somewhere in the vehicle...usually between the roof and the headliner, or under the carpet somewhere. That will tell you all the FACTORY installed options. You might try to contact the previous owner to see if they still have the window sticker.
  22. It wont stay that way if you keep jumping onto the roof! LOL.
  23. Yeah, I had one, too. It came off in a Car Wash.
  24. LKQ is good, however, I have found them to be a little bit on the pricey side...especially for used parts. They do have great customer service, and are usually pretty damn fast on shipping (when required), in my experience with them.
