  1. Oh most definitely B!! I've saved myself tons of money by not taking my truck to the shop to get it fixed. Now...that balances out with all the money I've spent on mods, however...
  2. And how do you suggest doing that V6? The back end is attached TO THE ROOF! I'm sure he is working on a way to get a tailgate in there.
  3. He's looking for stuff to do to get away from the fam...what better way to take your mind off your mother than a stripper, right?
  4. Mine's nicer... I'll post pics when I get home from work.
  5. I dunno - after reading about how ugly it appearently is - I dont feel so good. *pouts* For those having issues ID'ing the pathy from afar... look for the rear door handle. Pezzy...they're just jealous cuz we have .3L-.5L more displacement and gobs more torque and power...
  6. I think it would look better painted black to match the interior....but it looks like a nice setup... I'm going to be turning that space into a switch panel.
  7. Hamilton is roughly Midway between Niagara Falls and Toronto (if coming from Niagara to Tor, or vice versa.) Toronto is a wonderful city with lots to do (if you end up there check out the CN Tower and Second City Comedy Show...) If you end up in Niagara Falls (sans wife and want to let loose) the Sundowner is the best strip club on the east coast. All joking aside, Niagara is a nice town for an evening away from the family. Only about an hour from Hamilton, there are many bars and the casino is a great place to kill time. Not to mention that the falls themselves are gorgeous on the Canadian side. Oh, and Duty Free! Going to school in Western, NY has its advantages.
  8. I've only had the 32s for 20,000 miles....but I don't care if its at 94k or 104k, I want to get this done before I go back up to school, because I wont have an opportunity to do it or get it done within the next year. And by then it will be way overdue. Doing it early is better than doing it late, don't cha think? -thnkboutit-
  9. Yeah, 10-4 on that all fluids deal... And, I want to get all of this major servicing out of the way before I head back up to school, as it will be getting cold rapidly once I'm in Rochester, and there's a good chance I'll be driving out to Arizona in the Spring. I already have spark plugs ready to go in... Plug wires, eh? cap and rotor, yeah, I just neglected to put that on the list. One more thing....do you think I should be able to tackle all of this in a week? Oh yeah, I think I might need a fan clutch, too. -thnkboutit- This is getting very expensive, very quickly.
  10. That looks ridiculous in a sexy sorta way! I like it...now throw a pair of full width axles and some 37s under it and it'll be even cooler!
  11. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=5343
  12. Well, Dean...yes and no. I've tried to locate the IACV-AAC Valve, but I can't tell which one it is. If you could show me an actual picture of it (not like the diagrams that lewinsc posted, I couldn't find anything in there.) If you could show me specifically where to look, that would be GRRRRReat.
  13. I am starting to plan and source parts for my week long 100,000 mile (well it'll be a little premature at 97,800, but oh well) servicing. I already know that I need to get the following: Timing Belt Camshaft Seals Crankshaft seals Water pump V-Belts Hoses Wheel Bearings (mine are so shot its not even funny...) All fluids and filters Front brake rotors (beyond resurfacing at this point, have) Anything else you guys think I should do at this point? Idlers/tensioners? etc?
  14. MIL codes are as follows: P0505 P0325 P0505-PD P0325-PD 505 is idle control system malfunction. 325 is knock sensor 1 circuit malfunction.
  15. I'm with Slick...I don't give a crap whether you drive an 87 or an 05, if you love it, that's all that matters. I love my 99, and I dont give a crap what anyone else thinks about it, thats what makes it mine. So all you haters can buzz off, k?
  16. I head out there at least once a month. I'll let you know when the next time is...I'll be heading out there at least one more time (not including this weekend), or possibly up to Rausch Creek in PA before I have to head back up to Rochester for school. Another place you might want to check out is Hollin Hall Automotive on Ft. Hunt Road in Alexandria. I used to work over there, and they're the only shop that I trust to do anything involved. Call them up and talk to either Tom or Mark and say that Dan Ceresi gave you their name and number, and they'll treat ya good. Their number is: (703) 765-3722. BTW: Mark is a master mechanic, Kevin is a master suspension tech and always get's my alignment SPOT ON and it stays that way until I do anything to it.
  17. I looked at every SUV of comparable size on the market. I chose the Pathfinder because it had the best track record, and the best ride of all the vehicles I test drove. And, I got mine for a STEAL.... 99 Pathy in 2002, 34k miles. BB Retail was $21,800 on it. Trade in was $16,500. I got it for $15k flat.
  18. Howdy bro! I'm thinkin Sunday, but Saturday would work, too. My mom wants to go out and do some tame stuff, and I've been itching to get out and get the truck dirty for a while now (a while being like a month since it's been out...haha)...so I figure a few of the trails out in the Woodstock area will be perfect...Maybe Burner's Hollow, Duncan Gap and 1702? I don't know...I'm just trying to find a couple that would take a couple hours each and are relatively close to eachother, easy to get to. These trails are between 81 and 55 just south of Woodstock, VA. Should be a fun day...and if it gets late, we can camp or cut it short....there's a nice campground right at the end of 1702 (aka. Peter's Mill, Woodstock Tower Trail.) I'll start a new thread for this, so we can keep this one on topic. New thread is in Off-Topic, Virginia Trail Rides... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=5448
  19. Hey bro! I know the NTB you're talking about and they SUCK! Which Merchant's did you take it to? Try the one on Lee Highway near Glebe Rd, they're generally pretty decent. BTW, I live in Arlington, too. A slight alignment issue will cause a shaking at those speeds. Sans pulling usually means that both sides are out appx equally on the same spec. If Merchant's doesnt work out for you, there's a Craven/Goodyear right at George Mason Dr. and Lee Highway that does excellent work, and the Sears at Landmark Mall (Duke St and I-395, in Alexandria) are good, too. I'm thinking of heading out to the GWNF next weekend for some light trails, lemme know if you're up for it. Dan
  20. Mine's going to go in the back...I'm working on a mount for it that would attach to the tire hump on the drivers side of the cargo area...in hopes of somewhat hiding the missing panel there, and also offering some sort of protection to my fire extinguisher and EMT bag. I will take pics though...it's gonna be sweet. Another reason behind me wanting to get this bigger compressor is so I can use it to run air tools, and quickly air up several trucks after a day of wheeling.
  21. I'm going to be ordering this for my OBA setup. 4.0CFM, 100% Duty Cycle, 150PSI. This is the same compressor that AC Sells as the "Ultimate Air Compressor" but in different clothing.
  22. Ryan, if he got rid of it, he couldn't troll our message board! Something tells me he really drives a 4Runner and the Pathy in his sig is his buddys truck and he's jealous...
  23. Maybe you should read my post before YOU sprout off...smartass. I meant that it seems that it is the general consensus that we like the simplicity of it, the fact that it looks rugged and the overall look of the vehicle. I think Nissan could have done a better job with the grille, but at the time, that was the standard for SUV/Truck front ends. Two Headlights, grille and straight bumper. There was no such thing as a plastic bumper cover on a truck back then. Trucks weren't built for style in the late 80s and early 90s. They were built to be used and abused. They were intended to be simple and rugged. The Pathfinder is the most elegant of this era SUVs, without any doubt. You cannot put a 93 Pathfinder next to any of the uber-plush, overfattened, superluxury Mall-Crawlers of today and say it looks even remotely nice. But when you line it up with other SUVs from it's era (pre-95 4Runners, Early Monteros, Rodeos, Explorers, etc.) it takes the cake.
  24. So do the R50s...except the R50s body is welded to the box chassis as opposed to bolted to it like the WD21.
  25. That seems to be the general consensus ngap. V6 seems to be the anomoly.
