  1. heh, its a great thought and all, but i dont think you have one idea about what your getting yourself into. the whole idea of a club T is to have a single basic design with minor variations that is easily identifiable. its about being uniform..thats why we have a club. furthermore, who are you gonna get to design all these? not everyone is a designer ya know? dont expect me or anyone else to design shirts for everyone. its not economical, sure isnt cost effective, and its not reasonable. you cant order 50 shirts with 50 different designs and layouts. youll be paying out the butt for prices...and im sure the screeners will laugh in your face. nobody in their right mind is gonna set up 50 different designs for 50 different peope. if you want your own shirt with your own design with your own Pathfinder go make your own shirt. as for the rest of us, i think we will stick with what we have ALL contributed to here. now if we can get a definate word on who is willing to get this stuff screened.
  2. heh yep, goes into that sensor thats right next to your oil filter on the block. i pulled the wire loose when i replaced my starter. all ya need to do is pull out the female spade that used to be on your wire (if you striped that off) and crimp on a new one. i just got done fixing mine a few min ago actually. but dont worry...if you dont have stuff to fix it right off..dont freak. i drove 600 miles with the wire disconnected. i think it just goes to the oil idiot light
  3. grey t shirt...with light and dark designs
  4. i dunno, id stay away from cafe press. seems like they are all for the masses and are for handling large quantities of production. i dont see that here. i figure just a regular screener will do us just fine ok, here are the new backs with the suggested mods. lmk
  5. ok, in the case of fitting the seats from my mom's '98 in my '91 it just aint happnin. none of the holes line up, and the little raised hump in the floor that the front bolts go into arent even the same height. the seat appears to be much higher in the R50, and has a wider side-to-side, but a shorter front-to-back stance. unless you wanna go custom fabbing brackets or drilling new holes in your floor, you wont get it to work...and even if you do the aforementioned, it still gonna be a PITA
  6. well, on sunday/monday ill have my monitor, so i can start work back on the design. i think i wanna go ahead and do the suggested by putting the web site in the gravel/sandy area...as as to clean up the design a bit. ill need to work a bit on the front logo and cut out the background. some things that need to get done before orders are taken are (1) we still dont have a screener to do so, (2) we need to find out what kinda program then need to input the data to the machine (most use in design), (3) we need to get a price set for the shirts as well as shipping, and lastly, we have to have someone running the whole business of taking money and mailing shirts. all this need to get done before we even think about taking orders. oh, and i see you guys like the more toned down pic of the pathy leaping like i have on the black shirt...do you think yall would like the same image on the white/lighter t's...or do yall still wanna go with the straight black and white high contrasty one?
  7. im not sure. im going home this weekend tho, and i have a 91 pathy and my mom has a 98...so ill take some measurements. the key factor is not necessarily gonna be the seats...but the brackets. ill tell you what id REALLY want.. is to jack the seats out of my dads "x" and throw them in mine. unfortunately its his work vehicle...and black/blue dosent really go with a maroon interior haha.
  8. no no, polo shirts arent a "bad" idea, they are just a bit misplaced in this thread heh. id wear a polo with just the logo or something embroidered small in the front. but they just arent meant to be silkscreened...which is the topic of this thread maybe for our next project we can do polo's
  9. haha, if only what you said was possible. believe me, it came disassembled. and yes, with whatever bumper i had, i had to cut off the upper mounting tabs. where they were positioned (1) was about .5" too wide to fit inside the opening, and (2) even if i could get them inside the slots, there was no place to really get a solid mount. i honestly dont know that this bumper was for a pathy...considering all the crap i had to do to get it to fit....between having to add stuff and take stuff away...yeah, i doubt it was for the pathy..but it is now! and belive me...if it were as simple as taking it apart and everything supposed to be fitting together..i would have had the thing on the same day i got it. take it from a guy who has installed nitrous, done exhaust work, wired in 2 car alarm systems with aftermarket keyless entry, and 3 head units...it wasnt quite as easy as it sounds. but thanks for the help..im sure the correct bumper would have go on exactly as you say. p.s. if it was like 88's it would have worked. but if you notice how his upper mounting tabs are on the SIDES and face horizontal and use the bumper bolts..yeah..but mine dosent look like that. my upper tabs stuck IN towards the bumper. and no, they werent going in hahaa
  10. ok, first things first. guys, i ran into some....semi-major computer problems today. for those of you who might know a little bit about laptops or LCD screens...my backlight on the screen died about 30 minutes ago. the only way i can see is if i skim a bright light across the screen and help illuminate the background i guess. so, here i am, barely able to see anything, with my desk lamp resting over my computer screen. but never to fear, untill i decide on getting the part fixed (thank god its just a module and not the entire screen). i can hook up a regular screen monitor and everything will work fine, since its not so much a problem with the computer as it is with the screen. so, i will have the computer back up and fully running next monday. i have a spare screen sitting at home (im at college now) and ill be going home this next weekend. on to some other stuff. ill play around with suggestions once im back up. but a quick couple things...as far as types of shirts. i think it would be nice to have both regular t's and long sleeve..thats not a problem, if you guys want pocket t's, we may have to shrink the front logo down or something for those. i dunno how many takers we will have for those...but you wont catch me on one hahaaa. polo shirts...really arent for silk screening. if we wanted to see about getting some polo's embroidered over the left chest or somethig with a simple logo...but i dont know that silkscreening and polo shirt should be used in the same sencance haha. well, later guys, hope im back in action soon!
  11. nope, problem not resolved. im gonna have to custom make some extension brackets. the lower upright mounts wont reach to the truck mounting points. hopefully dad got his acetaline refilled, otherwise im gonna have to pay someone else to fab up some. 88 if you wouldent mind, could you snap some pictures of your mounting points pls? thanks!
  12. i totally agree. not only does it say "find your own path" with letters...but nothing says "find your own path" like a Pathfinder tackling a ridge with its nose 6ft in the air! any comments on the new dark shirt design? like? yes, no, maybe? i think i have refined the light shirt design to where its gonna be if it gets adopted. but...here is the kicker...i need the high resolution image of jims pathy leaping through the air. if i dont, and we use this 72dpi image that i picked off the net..the image is gonna be crappy. the lettering is all fine, but the images i need hi res. if anyone has the hi res image or if jim could send me his origional...that would rock. oh, and has anyone been looking at printers? all the design work in the world isnt gonna help if we have nowhere to output to.
  13. slick design there pezzy...me likey. hey mark, did you do the front in MS paint or PS or what? id REALLY like to have your design on a transparent background...but thats only if your using PS. let me know and you can email me the file. thanks!
  14. dude, i like that for the front...but possibly do away with the color and make it white. but i really like where your going with the kinda sketchy patchy feel. the mountains look good...but maybe drop them down on the text a bit further...and i like the functional divider line
  15. ^^ahahaaa, there we go. "special model" i know its exactly what she ask NOT to happen, but the fact of the matter is that it just looks funky with everything flip flopped. i dunno what to tell her honestly. i can see where shes coming from, but i dont want to compromise design either...just wear your hair up when your sporting the NPORA t. and this design hasent even been formally adopted, so there are still other designs to toy with. i do wish the design for the dark shirts were better, im gonna try playing with it. instead of a stark white, i may go with a grey instead for the lighter areas (grey and blk) fast chop of new blk design? eh, maybe...i dunno
  16. ok, i might have resolved my problem...but yes a cut off wheel/grinder will be taken to get rid of those pesky top mounting brackets! muahahaa
  17. yeah, the front hasnt been refined, it was the first chop i did. i need to toy around with the mountains some more, and i do agree that the snow peaks thing would look pretty cool. all im using is PS dude, not anything real special. its just sorta a bish to actually DRAW things in ps...much easier to modify existing photographs (and iv tried that too for the mountains). but ill keep cracking away...not like we have to have these tomorrow
  18. ok, in taking advice, here is the most recently updated shirt. no jumping PF, but i did bold up the NPORA a bit cuz it looked kinda wimpy.
  19. ok, as you may can tell from my sig, i have a 91SE ok, here is my problem. i bought a push bar like "88" has. just the simple 2 upright and 2 tube design..no brush/headlight guard thingy. anywho, i go to put it on...and it dosent fit. i think i can see where the bottom of the bracket mounts to...but the upper brackets. i assume they go through the little slot in the OEM bumper correct? well, mine wont go in. the little "ears" on the mounting tab are about .5" too long. do i have to modify the bumper. if 88 or any of the rest of you have this bumper and have installed one please send pics of mounting locations or instructions or whatever. here is the one i got
  20. see above post on design, back has been fissed
  21. Maritime man great to hear that we will have your order. and 15 sounds about right. we bought ours for 15 shipped and i know we could get a good deal going and get the same price. mark, we are seeing eye to eye...we understand eachother. i never thought of red and green...but id definately be down for a dark jade green or something...that would look hot! hmm or even a red one...hell i might just get one of each kind hahaa. also, iv been pondering on the whole "its a Nissan thing..." and i never meant to really make a hurtfull jab at jeep owners...it was more of a "poking fun" type of deal. that was the reason that "I" put it in the design was just to have a little fun. some people may mean to degrade jeep owners...im really not..could care less really. just a play on words. and if you think about it..it makes a little more sense and fits our slogan a bit better. "find your own path...its a Nissan thing...you wouldent understand" versus "its a jeep thing...you wouldent understand" its kinda like "uh, wouldent understand what...what is there to understand?" i think it would be deragatory and instigational (is that even a word?) if i was like "...its a Nissan thing...jeep owners wouldent understand" then yeah, i could see people getting up in arms over that. anyways, this is just through one mans eyes..so i think im gonna start a poll and see how many people are for or against it. i personally like the touch, but its not MY shirt either. so lets vote away.
  22. no no, we can have as many colors as we want. im just saying, you cant use the predominately dark logo and picture and all that on a DARK colored t shirt. that will only go with grey and white. if you go with a dark color, it will need the inverted pic i just posted up...with the predominately light logo and picture. no, we can and should have both light and dark styles to buy...i know ill be getting at least one of each. as far as colors, i figure white, lt grey, navy, and black would do pretty well. those are usually the typical colors that are used for club t's. but again, im not completely running the show here...so dont think im boxing yall in or making some sort of rules or whatever. yall were here before me..im just trying to help this along
  23. here is a quick one i did with a black shirt. i just inverted everything. LMK what you guys think..im almost more partial to the white shirt design myself, but if we go with any dark colored shirts like navy or black..this is what it would more than likley have to look at. i think white and lt grey would do fine with the other design.
  24. here is some stuff i threw together. on the front i like the mountains above the logo, but i cant get them to look right. i suck at drawing mountains hahaa. and remember guys, these are just my renderings and we dont have to use ANY of it, im just posting ideas like everyone else. EDIT: the back design has been fixed front (so far) back
  25. wow, mark and jrvanas i love those pics! as for slogans, i was trying to incorporate the fact that pathfinders..although rugged are pretty classy vehicles. its why i chose mine instead of a regular old jeep. maybe something like "running trails with class...its a Pathfinder thing...you wouldent understand" or something like that. hmm, or possibly "kick'n hiney with class...its a Pathfinder thing...you wouldent understand." EDIT: and you all very well know i didnt intend for "hiney" to go on the shirt hahaa
