  1. I had the same problem -- it was the switch for the hatch, so I disconnected it. If you pull the plastic hatch panel off you can reach down into the hatch door and wiggle the switch to see if this is your problem. If so, you can either replace the switch or disconnect it. If you disconnect it the vanity lights will obviously not turn on when you open your hatch, but you can always switch them on manually. good luck.

Not sure, but $150 sounds very steep... although I haven't priced a "full digital remote". Seems like I've seen a sign at Pep Boys or Advanced Auto for remotes for virtually any car...
  3. In my experience they will low-ball the first offer -- from your perspective this is a negotiation since this is not your insurance company. Once they call you with their offer, you need to remind the condition of the vehicle and provide them with a list of all the work you've done on it. It may be helpful if you can show them Pathys in similar condition selling at higher prices. I got a significant boost when this happened to me. Good luck.
  4. Thanks for looking into it for me...
  5. How much of a job is replacing the oil pressure sending unit?
  6. Not sure if there are any fellow Georgians online here, if so, have you found any good junk yards with Pathfinders?
  7. My relatively low mile '94 Pathy has got an oil leak and I'm trying to figure out exactly where it's coming from and how to solve it. It appears to be mainly coming from somewhere near the oil filter -- my starter and other components have a lot of dirty oil and gunk. Have any of you heard of a typical problem and solution? thanks
  8. My '94 has 88K miles on it. My mechanic tells me the Pathy has an exhaust leak, so I spoken with the local dealer and the folks at 1-800-NISSAN1 but had no luck at getting it fixed under warranty. They were certainly nice, but told me that unless the issue is safety or emissions related they don't normally do a "recall". So you guys with over 100K shouldn't feel too bad about not getting it fixed sooner. BTW I was under the Pathy last night changing out my 02 sensor and noticed that the manifold bolts still appear to be in place. I wonder now if my leak is where the down pipes and exhaust meet.
  9. Anyone tried to put the newer seats in an older Pathy? How much modification needed if possible? thanks
