The US government dosn't want you to have CNG tanks in your truck ether, CNG tanks run between 3000 and 3400 lbs how they are done here in the us and you have to have a special licance to have a tank with over 2800 lbs in a automobile. If it was legal to run CNG here I would already have my dodge converted, as my work has all the parts to do it. We build LPG CNG and gas engines, also NG engines. So people know NG and CNG are different in that CNG is compressed witch is what you have to run in a vehicles because you can not have a line running from the NG line coming from the ground to it. Well at least if you want to go anywhere. The closest we are allowed to run here in the states is propane. The exception to this is the Honda car with a CNG tank but they run very low CNG pressure and because of such have a very limited range and are only sold in California. And are very hard to fill up as most stations do not carry it, But if you have a NG line at your house you can get something called a fueler, Witch compressed the NG coming from the line at your home, but it uses allot of power and cost a couple of grand.

It is the head that is stripped and it is really stripped. I don't know how they got it so stripped when i first looked at it i thought it might be a alen it was so round but when i pointed a light at it no alen spot just a round stub where the hex should be.

Yes the bolt that goes into the frame that you can only get to through that little slot in the fender.

Hi everyone. I went to do my body lift this last weekend and ran into a problem. I had everything needed removed took off except the front bumper. the front bolt that holds it on on the driver side is striped. I wanted to know if anyone has ran into this before and has a good way to get a stripped bolt out of the horrible location. I have not been able to get any extraction tools in there. If anyone has any tricks for this please let me know. I spent more time on that 1 bolt then I did getting everything else apart.

I found the first order I put through AC for my body lift took almost 3 weeks to get to me. the second time I ordered my rear springs I called and stated while on the phone if the shipping takes as long as last time i will never order through them again, The springs showed up at my door 3 days later. I agree with above post if ordering through AC do it on the phone.

You will drowned your ECM/CPU or whatever you want to call it long before you need a snorkel in a pathfinder inless you have relocated it wont you?
-
As stated above you have to crank the t-bars to get the hight. Yes I had to do some trimming on the front the plastic peace from inside bumper is gone, bottom of the front flairs are gone and the corner of the sheet metal by front of front fenders is gone. Those tires are fair sized they will stay as my street tires.
-
This is the rough country UCA's and the AC 3" springs. I would not suggest the AC UCA's I have heard bad things almost everywhere I have looked into lifts for the WD21's. I hear they are 2 short sometimes and the ball joint angle is not right on them. Note the tires on the pathfinder in picture are 32 11.5r15 BFG all terrains.

But the 4x4 shifter for 4 low to work you have to modify the shifter, the floor pan, or put a hardbody 4x4 shifter in it. link the the link for alot more info on BL

Is there a easyer way to do this part of install? Power Steering Reservoir: BEFORE LIFT: The kit directs you to remove the power steering reservoir, move it down the passenger-side fenderwell, drill new holes, and remount it lower. However, this seemed like a waste of time and effort to me, so I simply extended the two hoses from the reservoir. First you'll need to drain the power steering reservoir... there's probably lots easier ways to do this, but not knowing any better, I did it with a turkey baster sort of thing. Inside the power steering reservior neck is a tan filter, this slides out and allows you to suck out as much power steering fluid as possible. Drain the reservoir as best you can, then disconnect the hoses on the reservoir. It's a VERY good idea to put a towel or something under the area you're working in to absorb spilled fluid. That stuff cleans like no other. wink.gif I would rather not have to refill the system as it is all new fluids and relocating it dose not sound to fun. Just wanted to ask If anyone knows a short cut around this section that works well?

I would try what he said

Can anyone tell me if the diode or resistor type replay works better for the headlight setup, I have both kinds available to me in marine style (water proof). Just want to know if one kind works better then the other for this application. Thanks for your time.

I have had that feeling from vehicle's with bad rear shocks on them.
-
I almost tried putting those shocks in as well but then I realized that the pair that were already in were 1" longer.I still need longer shocks but I have ac 3" coils not the JGC coils like you. I also had to trim a little bit in the font corner of front fender. This week or weekend depending on how motivated I am I plane to put in my pitman arm brace steering stabilizer and my manual hubs, then when I got the help the body lift. then I will be able to fit my swampers for wheeling.

BEFORE 235/75R15 AFTER 32/11.5R15

When I got under it and got ready to reindex the bars i noticed they were adjusted almost a quarter of the bolt different. I reindexed the one with the least thread left 2 splines and the one with allot of adjustment left 1 spline. This got me to a good place in ride height. really messed up alignment though, but had it at firestone for a lifetime alignment today so all good now. Only thing left Is I need longer shocks for the rear end I can max them out with the swaybar still on.
-
Planed on taking pics while i was doing the lift but the battery's in camera were dead, Got the lift in but I need to redo the front indexing again and go 1 more spline up to get the besired hight, although It is sitting with 32-11.5 bfg allterrans on it right now only a little trimming was needed. I still need new shocks for the rear I can easily max out the ones on it now.

I have all the shock bushings in and the upper control arms all assembled with the spindals I got from the junk yard. So now I wait tell tomorrow night to start the actual install. I have one freind coming over to help. We are both good mechanics, garage all set up inpact guns are out and ready to go. I do not think this will take use to long to do. The body lift I am doing as well though will wait intell my freinds shop with a lift is open to use.

My pathfinder is in a very bad need of a re index job. I have been holding off in tell I put the lift kit in this weekend, I will be installing the rough country uca. Right now my pathfinder sits almost on its bump stops in the front it looks like a low rider. I wanted some opinions on how many spines you guys think I should re index for taking out the sag and accommodating the lift.
-
Thanks for the reply was just what I was looking for. On the shocks I have rough country 8000 shocks for all 4 corners.
-
I should have also noted on above post I have to be well under the E line before my gas light comes on and I get as much mileage after I have passed the E line as i do from toped off to 3/4 tank. Maybe mine has a different tank put on from previous owner.
-
I will be installing the same kit next weekend, Want to know if you ran into any problems so I have a heads up on what to expect, and how did you get the bushings out of the old upper control arm to get the spindal out.

I have a 91, I have put 20.5 gallons in my tank once when I ran it really low, my gas light was on for about 40 miles. So i am pretty sure it was really empty. I was doing this as a test to see how far below the empty line I could go. I was well below the empty line when the gas light came on. I was also carrying a gas can for when I ran out of gas. It never did sputter and die from running out of gas but I had to take a long drive so decided to fill it at that point. side note 20.5 gallons is 77.6 liters. So i know they are more then a 70 liter tank.
