I have heard that the Xterra has a compatible diff housing and gears if you pull the hole assembly, with my 91 H233B I wanted to know if anyone can confirm this for me. And also If it dose work what year models were available with the 4.9 gears. Thanks for your help.

Thank you for that info, and from my understanding if I leave it spring under axle it will be about the same a a 3" sl on a pathfinder.
-
What did you use to get the rear up to the height of the spring over axle front?
-
Thats where i have been getting most of my information from packie88. athghout i found a sring over axle swap post http://nissannut.com/projects/SAS_WD21/and the http://nissannut.com/projects/SAS_3link/but im not sure about the hight with a leaf spring over to match. Do you have a build thread on your rig? Im just trying to be prepared as possible.

I knew i had a exhaust leak at the manifolds but when i went looking found that both sides only had the center 2 studs left the rest were broke. Needless to saw i pulled them all and replaced them with a better product along with the gaskets.

So I am looking at doing a SAS on my 91 pathfinder I am only to the stage of starting to gather parts so it will be a while before I get to deep in the project. My pathfinder currently sits with a 3"SL and 3"BL to clear my 33" swampers almost measure 34". Well my main 2 questions are I want to fot 35" tires so I am thinking I will have to do a spring over axle swap to get the height, I want to know if others have done this to there pathfinder how did you get the back up to the same height to match. And also dose anyone have a picture of what they did for steering on a spring over axle dana 44 swap, The downer axle is a 89 waggy axle.

You can also find these in many ranges at places that sale welders. many company's use them as quick connect for the 110-120 portable mig welders that are just the feed and wire spool that plug into a stationary power box that powers all the remote welders. You will find them cheaper in the same sizes compared to the ones that say they are for winch's.

For the fuel pump you might want to look into one from sx performance, They are very high grade pumps regulators and filters they supply and work very well with gm products, also walbro pumps work great with gm products and are a more standard style pump. -
Will get you this info, or looking in the how to's here is the info It took all of 30 sec to find, hope this helps.

They are no longer made, you can only get them if you find a old set from what i have heard.

Looking for the best lift kit, any recomendations?
BoneZ replied to Astroc2002's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Forgets to tell you 3rd option of using TM lift and SL on the same truck with no body lift and 7" of lift. And on the SL rough country-same and superlift just different plating-powder coating, are good UCA's but you have to source springs separately. -
I think i can answer this good, I run 32/11.50r15 bfg all terrans on the road, I run 33/12.50r15 super swampers offroad. With the bfgs i don't notice much of a difference, With the swampers 5th gear is almost usless inless down hill or long flat. There is a huge difference from the 32s, to 33s if it is drove on the street allot the 32s are much better, if for offroad go 33s. This is all just my opinion but I run both so thought I would answer. on a side note the 32's should clear with a 3" SL with just a little trimming of inside fender wells at the bottoms. my 33s still rub a little with a 3" SL 3" bl and some trimming, but I do run no swaybar.

My Pathfinder dose not have the same alarm as yours but it did at one point have this problem. It was fixed by changing the battery. It would not work with a jump but when I changed out the battery it started working, My old battery still holds a charge but not enough, and when jumping it, it was throwing 2 much for the sensors on these,(is what i am thinking) I did not understand why I keep seeing posted that these things are picky on voltage but after that i understand. I might be wrong on why it would not start with a jump from a known good vehicle but it is what i think was happening. Just thought i would let know know because i spend days changing relays checking wires cleaning connections and such.

I have used my high lift several times on my pathy already, I have not used it for trail recovery but i change my tires between my bfg's and swampers quite a bit, I use my 2 front tow hooks(i put a 2nd pathfinder tow hood on the drivers side. and I use my tube rear bumper for the rear has caused no damage and is much faster then using my floor jack or bottle jacks to do it. You can also use a highlift for several other things such as a come along, stretching tool, or to pull back out a bent in fender and so on, I can not list all the uses because a highlift can be used for all kinds of stuff.

I removed the brackets by drilling a hole above each one with a cordless drill took a old screwdriver stuck it in the hole then took a hammer and beat the screwdriver to get a wide rip in the sheet metal then used a set of needle nose vice grips to clamp in the hole and rip the sheet metal away. I took some elbow grease but i only weigh like 120lbs so im not a big guy. It took about 2 hours of ripping and drilling to get it all out, 2 of the brackets are also spot welded on in a few spots and I used a drill to take out those spot welds. there is 8 bolts you have to remove as well for the inside brackets. You can not put the stock brackets in without ether massively modifying them or cutting your sheet metal up. I went the way of cutting away at the brackets enough to get them in. Then I took some scrap metal and welded in a new support between them. The inside brackets in my pathfinder are now all 1 part and there is no way to ever remove them.
-
I added the tire rack to the back of my pathfinder today, I did not buy the AC kit though, I pulled the inside parts out of a pathfinder in the junkyard. It took allot of modifying to make it work. I would not suggest going that route though it was a pain in the azz making it work. but i am only into it for a grand total of 22 dollars for the rack all the bolts and mounts. got to love half off sales at LKQ (u-pull-it). like i said inside brackets took allot of work to make work.
-
Thanks allot that is what i was thinking of doing. I think mine sits a little higher then most in the rear and 1 rear wheel on a curb will lock up the brakes on the lower side if i have all the brackets attached.
-
After you have put a 3" sl and a 3" bl in a wd21 pathfinder how do you make the e-brake work. If you are one of the people that has done this can you post a pic of how you set it up im sure i need to make at least 1 new set of mount brackets for them but would like to see what others have done before i start on it. Thanks for any responses. If there is a thread already on this can you point me the right way tried search for awhile with no luck.

Insurance...did you telle them about your modifs..
BoneZ replied to fleurys's topic in General Forums
In the portland area of oregon you have to go through DEQ and while you are there they check vin numbers. They say nothing about any mods on your vehicle as long as all the required things to be street legal are there and your tires don't stick out to far apast your fenders. where i grew up in the country in south west oregon they sent you all your info in the mail you filled it out sent it back and got your tags in the mail We had mismatched engines in rigs like 350's in old toyotas driving down the street and no one said anything. When I tried to bring my old wagonner to the portland area I quickly learned There was no way it would pass DEQ dual straight piped exhaust no cats and 32" glasspacks. The area where 88pathoffroad lives at is between the 2 places i talked about. Back to the point I just wanted it known that That the system works different ways in different parts of oregon. Side note: make sure you have a buyback clause in your insurance policy get back the rig for cheep after the collision and put your parts on the next 1 you buy:) I make sure it is in every insurance policy I get witch limits the companys I can use many do not have it in there. -
After I looked at it more I will not be relocating the tank I did not realize how the front was mounted it would be a PIA. I might use the room above it at aa latter date for a onboard air tank instead.
