  1. Yeah I went to Drivers Edge today, and he looked at it, agreed that it was the engine oil cooler that was cracked and needed to be replaced. He quoted me $561.73 to replace the cooler. I was shocked I just check the FSM and it looks like a simple job, im most likely going to order the part and install myself before making the 4 hr drive back to college next week. The last thing I need is to be stuck on the side of the highway somewhere with no oil and a burnt up engine.
  2. Nope, have not yet had a chance to stuff the rear, and wont have a chance to until the 17th when im back in East Texas where there are plenty of places to go "explorin" The actual size is 285/75/16...I measured witha tape measure the other day and the outside diameter is 32.5 on the outer edge from wear on the previous vehicle, and the middle is 32.7. So its pretty close to a 33
  3. Hey yall, I noticed a small leak the other day, under the pathy. I did some investigating and im guessing that its the power steering pump. The leak is not spewing out fluid, then I checked the power steeing fluid level and it turns out that I have no power steering fluid So im wondering if I can just get a confirmation on what is leaking, before I take it to a shop and they tell me its going to be an expensive repair
  4. Thanks everybody for all the comments. I am definately getting more looks with these tires on, im driving around to try and find a stock pathy to park next to and take pics. As of now im at my grandma's place til schhol starts back up, im just using the local libary for the internet. ill take some pics and a video and post them up. I have just the AC 2in Lift coils front and rear, with manual locking hubs. I had to take off the front mud flads and trim the front bumper and cut quite a bit of plastic out from the wheel well, it maintains the stock appearance from the outside, with only minor rubbing while in full lock while reversing (i have a pair of snips so when im driving i can just cut whatever rubs when it comes up) But i dont wanna try and flex LOL....I wont be able to do that until the 17th at the earliest I'll go and take some pics now and ill be back on tomorrow to post up my results
  5. Yup as the title says, I finally got the time to mount my 1.5in wheel spacers and get my friends tires mounted on my stock wheels, they are stuffed, and rubbed like a mofo- but with a little trimming and hammering they dont rub at all. They feel awesome, and really gives the pathy a good look IMO. I'll post up the pics I have, I dont have pics of the trimming, and probably wont for awhile til, the 17th about. I'll try and get online to answer questions, but i'll be without internet til then.
  6. Man def post up a thread if you do decide to do a disc brake swap!! And also thanks for the drop panhard rod bracket pic. Makes it easier for me to fab one up since im also most likely going to be making my engine lift blocks as well..........VEATER
  7. I have heard that the xj lift coils work great, they will ride better with the relative same weight of the vehicles, less of a diff between them than a pathy and f250
  8. Id also be interested in a drop/adjustable panhard bar/bracket
  9. I hope you didnt buy 4 struts, you only have 2, one each side in the front
  10. No prob dude, you should be fine for awhile without hubs, some on here argue the use for them (do you have the All Mode 4wd-the knob one, or just a manual tcase 4wd?) If so that might affect your choice on getting manual hubs in the future. Even if you're in 2wd your whole front diff and cv's are still spinning, even when not in 4wd, so without hubs there will be increased wear. Butttttt, if you have the allmode (like I do) you might want to stay away, depending on what kind of driving you're doing. The procomp shocks are not adjustable, I just got em cuz they were cheap, id suggest if you have the money to just go ahead and get the Rancho Rs9k's. They will probably be better suited for your application.
  11. I dunno if you're close to San Diego or not, but if you get the lift before Dec 30th, I might be able to swing down and help if you wanted.
  12. First off, I would get only the KYB GR-2 Struts, I love mine, the ride is great and they have held up very well. I know some people on here with the ranchos have had big problems with them, so i'd just stay away from them. As for rear shocks, I have heard nothing but good things about the Rancho Rs9k's, I decided to go with Pro Comp ES3000's instead, mainly cuz I was tight on money, and I got both rear shocks for the price of one Rancho, I got the wrong size thinking I would have more lift at the time of install, but id imagine if you got the right size they would do just fine. As for wheels, I have an 01 LE, same wheels and they worked just fine with the lift. I believe I have 245 65 16 tires...but you should have no problems at all, if it doesnt rub stock it should not lift post lift. One thing I would suggest that you didnt mention, is getting WARN Manual Locking Hubs. They are super simple to install, as is the lift. And the hubs will save your cv's and help out with gas mileage aswell as make the steering easier, its money well spent IMO. And the hubs fit perfectly around the hole in the wheel, if you cut it out. Here are some pics of mine post lift. First one is after about 6 months and its fully settled, others are like the day after install.
  13. I cant say PVC...but I can say UGLY!
  14. Let us know how those shocks work out for ya, and how the ride is! You could also play around with some F250 springs and get rid of the spring spacers...just an idea
  15. Jeez, get you some lift coils and go even higher IMO
  16. Looking good man! Glad to see another rig getting this setup!
  17. Man, its like waiting for christmas, waiting for pictures LOL
  18. Sweet Man, didnt even know you started building stuff, take pics of, where you are putting everything, and especially the engine lift blocks as those are the most difficult to install, or so I have heard.
  19. Well unfortuneately, I didnt get my wheel spacers in time before I left school for thanksgiving break. I got a call the day after I left that they had come in . Anyways I finally got in the spacers and they will be going on in early january, no earlier. Im going to be in San Diego helping pack up stuff to move back to texas, then we will be driving from San Diego to Texas and be arriving in Texas on Jan 4th, so around then they should be mounted . About the guy who posted about this with the 33's what was the offset on those wheels looked to no be much at all. And you also said those were 12.5's im going to be going with an 11.5. Which has already been done- fukinitupagain runs a 32x11.5 mt on his with just a ac lift and he does just fine with that.
  20. Yeah well, I ordered the 1.5 in wheel spacers last week and I should have them by the time I leave on tuesday for the Thanksgiving Holiday. If that does happen then on wends of next week the 33's should be on. The spacers I ordered are for a toyota, but have the same bolt pattern, and center bore big enough to clear the manual hubs all while using the stock wheels. Yeah im going to have to take off the front flares, and fold the bottom of the fenders in a bit, but hey its worth it to me. Pics of what was done will be up shortly after its done, depending on wether or not I can get internet at my grandma's place LOL.
