Imo its easier to just replace the whole CV, they last awhile and they come with a lifetime replacement warranty. Its actually less work to replace the CV than to replace the boot itself. Truck looks good too

If I remember correctly there is no difference, if anything one end of the springs will be flattened out and that side goes on the bottom. But other than that, jack up the rear of the pathy, then undo one of the shocks and let that side of the axle droop down, the coil should just fall out. After that, install the spacer if you're using one, compress the new spring jack the axle back up and bolt on the shock again, or a new shock.

Well with the bad economy now, every place you go is trying to make an extra buck (or a few hundred) off of everybody.

Well, good luck to ya, its very important to keep in mind that these are USED tires, they measure 32.8 in the front its not that worn, but the outer edge is kinda worn more from the truck they used to be on. If you buy NEW tires you may have to do a bit more trimming, also if you go with a mud terrain you may need to trim more. Just my reccomendation, but they will still no doubtedly fit, just may take awhile to stuff. ALSO those rear tires stuff with the STOCK BACKSPACE. If you are running aftermarket wheels, you will most definately RUB ALOT!!!!! You must run the stock wheels, OR aftermarket wheels with the STOCK OFFSET. I am using stock wheels up front with the 1.5 in wheel spacers. I dont know the stock backspace of my double tri star wheels but im guessing its over 4, perhaps even 4.5.....so just be warned, you have to know what your bs is before attempting this.

What do you want me to post about? I mean its a really simple job, just bolt on the spacers using the old wheel studs and nuts, then get the tires mounted on the wheels and bolt them up....after thats done, all you have to do is trim as nessicary I will be taking some pics this weekend of the trimming that I have done. As well as some possible wheeling videos, depending on wether or not we can get to where I want to go.

Okay so my dad called me today and he got off the phone with someone from nissan corporate and we wound up having the whole charge dropped by nissan, so all this work was free Nissan finally got it right by doin this, stupid stealership, never again going there for anything.

And for those of you who may want to know....NO I DID NOT RUB, not once did I hear any rubbing even while in 4wd full lock in reverse with the wheels cranked either way I hear more rubbing while driving and parking on the street then I did when off roading. I love those BFG AT's too in other places where I would have been spinning my old tires these things just bit In and drove me out!! I love this set up, and if you have a VQ I dont see why you wouldnt want to run 33's......Roll with the cool kids....Me and Alex...us texas boys gotta roll big

Thanks David, I was planning on doing that in the future, perhaps over this summer break. But for now she still pulls like a champ and stopping isnt too too bad. I did some calculations for gas mileage on my drive down to college. I used 14 gallons of gas in the 4hr drive to my school......I traveled 232 miles, on 14 gallons, so I averaged 16mpg Highway!!!!! Seems to be better than with the stock size tires imo. And that gas milage included several merges, and racing a lifted F150 until I hit the limiter (I won that race to BTW ) So I think that thats pretty good I believe that 250 miles to a tank is d0-able but I will soon find out, just filled up the other day and I will post back up when the amount of gas goes down. I'm also planning on taking the pathy for a photo shoot later on down at the river and in the woods So i'll post back up pics of everything.

Ty, you bring up a good point with the front coils needing to be stronger for a front bumper, I need to keep that in mind when I build my bumper. And those drop brackets say they come in handy for switching from a r180 to a r200 so I guess it should work, as long as the mounting points are the same, which in my guestimation they probably wont be

You mean rear only, cuz the front cant be extended anymore than the AC coils do them, limited by strut length correct?

Yes those are them, I know a bit of modification is needed to fit those springs, and I have to try and figure out from Max what specifically that is. Quite frankly what you should do, is check out this thread. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=25075 Thunderbolt (David) has a SFD installed already and he is looking to get some custom coils made, maybe you should send him a PM and try and collaberate, and do one order for 4 coils so it would be more worth the while for the company who makes the coils. Just my two cents.

Just save that info, so that when I get my sfd installed, I can also contact that company and get some made. David, if you wouldnt mind posting up what happens with this and the cost of the springs, that would be much appreciated

Damnnn, I just got rid of mine. Really though I didnt notice a bit of difference with on road handling when I took off my rear sway bar But I guess if it helps you feel more confident its all good.

Jeep XJ lift coils or Ford F250 coils should work, depends on what length you get. If im not mistaken the 3in lift coils from an xj should work, for a 4in sfd

Called around today, called 3 other nissan dealers and all of them said there is no difference between the 2wd and 4wd. So we obviously got jipped pretty good by this guy. My parents went ahead and stopped payment on this work (since we paid with American Express- pretty neat feature) And we also left a message with the service manager at the dealership where the sevice was done. Nissan North America was also contacted, and a complaint was filed against the dealership. We are waiting to hear back from both the Regional Manager from Nissan North America, and the Service Manager at the dealership. I'll keep yall posted with details of what happens.

Been doing a bit of figuring, and I used a quarter of a tank of gas according to my gas guage. During that quarter tank of gas, I traveled 57 miles. So knowing that the gas tank is 20 gallons.....about 5 gallons of gas for 60 miles roughly- City Driving and about 10MPG I'll be back in Nac where I go to college this sunday and ill be sure to post up costs of a 4hr drive back to school

Where'd you get 3 inch lift coils from?

Thanks for the info (or ammo as per how i'll be using it). I called a few more nissan dealers today and they said that there should be no difference between the two. I'm going to call Nissan North America tomorrow and tell them this story, since they have the power to pull the dealers certification. My mom did that once back in Chicago on the pathy for having something done wrong or with an outrageous price and she would up having nissan cut her a check for the price of the work and the dealers hand got slapped also, and we got an appology letter from the dealer manager. So ill make my calls around and ill post back up with what I coume out with.

I just added that because I was rooting around under the hood checking fluid levels, and I noticed that I had no powersteering fluid. I went to nissan today and they said that it was indeed the two O rings that were teh problem. At first the guy quoted me like 130 bucks for parts labor and the oil change then came back out, and said it would be 350 because he didnt know that it was 4wd at first (even though its lifted on 33's, whoda guess from just looking at it?) I asked how its any different with the 4wd but the price jumped alot. I had to pay cuz I was stuck at the dealership, but im wondering is there really a difference between the 4wd and 2wd? And they charged me 7 bucks for the part and 343 bucks for a 2 and a half hour job

Acceleration is a tad bit slower, being that I have the VQ its not that bad. Breaking is a bit slower, but nothing scarry just seems to be equilizent to having a full passenger load. When you think about it there is less weight with the new tires than there would be with having ppl in the car. Handling is def changed, I have to turn slower and I can feel the rear lift a bit more when taking sharp tuns at speed. I'll make a video tour/driving video when I get back to school along with the trimming that I did, and attempt to flex. Gas Milage..........dont even get me started heh, that is now terrible, maybe its my driving style combined with the unusually cold temps, but it seems to be VERY low like maybe 10mpg LOL. I'll do a calculation when i go back to school and will use a full tank of gas.
