  1. Hi, Be carefull with your brake lines (ABS & fluid), from the picture they look super stressed. Good luck !!
  2. Well, it has been a long time without modding the pathy. As you know after installing the sfd the front remains a little bit exposed. So I decided to install a front skid plate.... from desition to excecution it took me a long time... but finally here it is The design was made with a 2mm steel black power coated. Here are the photos:
  3. hahaha excellent. Good work, now tomove on the tires...
  4. Ufff. Good to hear you are okay and no one was injured.
  5. Hi, I have changed my brake fluid some time ago when I was doing my SDF install. If you do it manually (like me), you need the help of a second person one on the pedal and other opening and closing bleeder valves and to have an eye to the fluid level on the reservoir because no air must enter to the system. Here is a pic of the bleeder with a tube on the top left side of the image.
  6. Hey what a good trip!! If you need some help in Chile, you can write me a PM. Regards R
  7. 40 psi...looks to much for me. I drive normally on 30 psi all corners and aired down to 8 psi on sand and 12-15 psi on other terrains.
  8. Looks good!! I had never seen that strut modification, interesting one!! bravo!
  9. Excellent project, good luck and keep us informed!!
  10. I don't know for sure but I bet that mine was installed with the pathy jacked up...
  11. This is the design that my mechanic did...I have seen differents setups here on npora but at the end I think it is the same.
  12. Hi, I dont know if its the most agressive tire but I am running BF MT KM2 on my truck and I am very pleased with the performance and the looks of them. Not the best pics but you get the idea...
  13. You are welcome to come any time ... if you bring the beers
  14. Hello All, After reading some opinions on the installation of the "missing Link" I decided to install it. I am not shure if I can fell a big difference or it is psycological but the truck seems more solid specially on curves. I think if you have a SFD, the link frees of the stress of the blocks and of the rear A-arm mounting point...just guessing. Some pics:
  15. Hello All, Just want to share that the kit has developed some whobble and some cracking noise...So my strong advice is to weld the blocks. After Welding, no more strange noises and the felling of the truck is more "solid" .
  16. Hello All, I forgot to mention that the tpms has been working great. Compared to my arb deflator, theres a margin of +- 1/2 psi between them so its quite accurate. I have noticed for example if you park with just two wheels to the sun TPMS reflect the greater pressure on those wheels (.. nice way to remember ideal gas law from my chemistry lessons). I have tested it on trail down to 7 psi with no problem. Not to mention that I am not using the deflator as often, just let the tire deflate until the desired pressure checking the monitor. Same thing to inflate.
  17. Nice setup!! You can check this link with my install for reference if you will. I second the comment related to weld the kit... I am developing a nasty "click" sound that I need to check. Good luck and post pics!
  18. Hi, 4" SFD kit by krfabs implies no problem with alignment..It maintain the geometry of the suspension. 4" sfd + 2"springs put your whells like that \ / (front view)and you should correct it, for example, usign camber bolts. I would use the longer wj coil... I think that is best to have more to cut than to find that the coil is short... Rgds
  19. Good idea remounting the sensor...I think I will go that route this weekend.
  20. I Learned something new (to me)
  21. Regarding to snow I prefer to live from previous glories than present failures... I am pretty much in the center of the country, in Santiago. There are not much restrictions but places are closing because of real state developements. You have 1 hour to the east a ski center 1,5 hours to west beaches and dunes. Some Dakar stages will be run on the north of the country... 800 - 2.000KM from Santiago.
