  1. Looks great! Nice job on the mods! By the way, that green colour is awesome!!!
  2. Lifting a R50 by using longer coils is going to result in strut top-out, that much is inevitable. As for strut failure due to lifting, it seems to me KYB's aftermarket strut puts up with the abuse quite well. I'm not sure if anyone on the forum is rocking the OME HD strut(maybe HitTheTrails?) but it's supposedly designed to handle being equipped with the OME HD 1.75" coils. In any case, it seems like a wise choice to get away from Rancho.
  3. That can't be good. Don't want a spacer made of that material... My guess is stick with aluminum or steel. The last place you want to worry about integrity is the front strut.
  4. My advice to you is go with KYB GR-2 struts. In fact, avoid Rancho altogether. I can't recall how many failure stories I've heard involving Rancho products. Epic fail.
  5. Yup, that's exactly the same. I wouldn't worry about the resonator.
  6. I'm referring to aftermarket one being made by L&P, which produced way more output than Nissan's. I am aware of Nissan's VG33ER... I considered dropping one in my R50.
  7. So far so good. Nice work! Were those alts I saw in a few pics?
  8. Not sure about that... No idea what ever came of L&P and its attempted SFD kit, VG supercharger, etc... A damn shame, too. As for Prado Lifts, not sure what ever happened. Heard a few kits were made and they were awesome... That's it though.
  9. Yup, L&P cacked out hard... I don't know if anything ever came out of R&D, either.
  10. Very nice! We need this kind of stuff closer to home, though.
  11. Do it up! Better yet, come up here and Dallas would probably help me you... He wants me to SAS my R50. BTW, I've seen this R50 in person. It's a behemoth!
  12. You could try running SeaFoam through the intake and through a tank of gas. That may help... I've never cleaned lifters but I'd imagine it's a moderately-sized task.
  13. It could be valve lifter tick... What kind of oil are you running?
  14. The most random post on an ever more random thread...
  15. Just came across this thread... Two years and no news on the horizon. Dang.
  16. I stand corrected. Thanks for the link!
  17. What a surprise... No love for the VG33E.
  18. Nice Bob Saget av!! LMAO

    I nearly pissed myself!

  19. Agreed! Those 15x10 wheels look nasty! With some nice MTs you'll have a nice beefy stance. Even with ATs it'll look just killer. Mmmm, now I want.
  20. When I start the new job and have ~$400, you'll be the first to know.
  21. Thanks for clearing that up. My guess is a secondary battery would be far more ideal. Nevertheless, a high output alty just makes sense.
