  1. Hello, I've got 2003 SE 4x4 recently fan started making constant noise. Is it hard replace it?
  2. Hello, I've got 2003 SE 4x4. My stop light has gone parts.nissanusa.com shows the following diagram http://parts.nissanusa.com/nissanImages/R50/265_%2001.jpg The middle bulb has the following label 26550CB[1298 - ] 26550C[1095-1298] Just wanted to double check: 1298 - means from December 1998 and this is what I want?
  3. Thanks for the nice hint. Today I was thinking to disassemble the dash, but just knocked on the A/C unit and lights came on. I had the same experience with the rear license plate bulbs, one of them was out. I've ordered the new one and before changing, a friend of mine just knocked on the plastic and it lighted up.
  4. From the Factory Service Manual it's unclear what is the sequence for removing AC Unit. Can anyone help?
  5. I looked at the factory manual and a bit scared doing this job myself. I don't want to break something
  6. I just wanted to clarify that only Auto, Econ and Off buttons are not illuminated. Other buttons like front defroster, recycle are.
  7. Hello, I've got 2003 SE with Automatic climate control. I've noticed that when I turn on the headlights, hence turning on internal illumination, those buttons do not illuminate. Is this normal or I have a dead bulb?
  8. I'm going to clean the throttle body. Is it a good idea to disconnect battery negative cable before doing this? Also should I do ECU lelearn procedure after that?
  9. What about gear ratios and electronics? Do they match as well?
  10. In factory manuals model is the same but they have different codes. That is my concern.
  11. Hello, A friend of mine has 1995 4wd auto with dead tranny. There is a chance to get transmission from 1999 3.3 4wd pathy. Is it possible to make such swap?
  12. There are several stores where you can buy equipment but there are only a few of them and I don't know in which I will find 6 inch C-clamp and I don't want to waste my time. . On your question answer is: Yes it's easier to buy a computer than a C-clamp, at least for me. In US many things that exist are natural to you, because you produce automobiles, we don't. You expect that there is a store where you can find all the automotive staff, there is a mall, there is a fast food shop, there is a bakery, etc... Unfortunately in my country no such culture exists regarding to automobiles, of course we have plenty other things I've listed. In my childhood when we were part of soviet empire, there were specialized hardware stores where you could go and find all things in one place. Now there are special markets where you can find these things but they are not organized well and it will take hours to find what I want. And for me it takes 30 minutes to buy something online in US and import it in my country after some time. Another strange thing: In my country not many people know how to fill up the car, because there are no self-serviced gas stations. On every station there are people who serve cars 24x7.
  13. I would gladly do if I have lived in US There are some stores in my country of this type, but it's much easier for me to buy online.
  14. I'm going to buy this one http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NY6QO2/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=19F8GNQ4AUYFC&coliid=I1GD2S9Z0M36CC
  15. Thanks for the videos. I'm going to buy C-clamp online. Can you recommend specific model/size for this job?
  16. Is there step-by-step instructions how to do that on 4x4 2003 pathy? Will I need special tool, like caliper compressor?
  17. I've 2003 SE When I'm driving on uneven road the rattle comes on from the sunroof area. I've not opened sunroof for at least 3 years. If I push a headliner section of a sunroof up (that moves back and fourth) a little bit the rattle stops. What could it be? I've tried to pull back and fourth headliner section and in every position rattle stays.
  18. Do you think it will affect performance and/or mileage?
  19. Because I'm low mileage driver I barely achieve 3000 miles in 6 months and usually change it at that stage. I use synthetic because it's better protecting the engine at startup and I'm almost sure dino oil will not make things better. I also make 300 mile trips 5-6 times a year and noticed that at the highway, oil is burned much quickly than in the city. I hope that high mileage oil will somehow reduce oil consumption. For instance if It's halved compared to what it'is right now, I'll be happy man.
  20. My guess would be because VQ35DE-s are known for this, also I'm a low mileage driver. One trip is usually under 5 miles.
  21. My Pathfinder came with one key. I don't live in USA but there is a Nissan dealer (not official) which told me that they will program the second key but don't have hardware to duplicate the key physically. What would you suggest? 1. Contact the dealer in USA, prove that I'm the owner of my car, give them VIN and they will send me the duplicated key, which then I will program in local dealership 2. Buy somewhere blank key with a correct chip, do physical duplication and programming locally
  22. My pathy burns oil, about 1 quart every 1700 miles. Truck has 78,500 miles on it. Has been using oil since the day one I have it (2008, 44,500 miles) I've used Mobil 1 5w-30 and Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w-30 with M1-108 EP Filter, result is the same. Mobil 1 support advised me to use Mobil 1 High Mileage 5W-30 Full Synthetic Motor Oil 1. Is anybody here using it? 2. Will it decrease the burning rate? 3. Will it affect the MPG?
  23. Hello, I've bought a 4 liter canister of Nissan Matic D (http://jaytec-lubricants.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_9_32&products_id=41) 2 years ago and used about 3.3 liters of it for my transmission fluid change. I've stored leftover (700 ml) in a clean 1 liter bottle with the cap screwed on in a dark room at normal temperature. Is it safe to use this fluid again in my transmission?
