  1. any mechanic is better then any quick lube place. but why even do that. save yourself the dough. it's just a couple of bolts on the t-case and diffs. pull the upper bolts first then the lower, let it drain, plug the lower holes and fill throught the upper, replace those bolts and you're done. as to the tranny, that's a little more involved and may be worht the $. just my 2c. i'll post up on what the dealer says. i am also going to ask about dexcool on another forum that i am sure peeps know for sure.
  2. 02 slick. flanges darlin'
  3. hmm. i guess i'll call the stealer and see what they have to say about this. thanks venge.
  4. @!*% happens. hope you recover fast and start enjoying your pathy once again. for some reason with a moniker like steeevo i am not that surprised you have broken somthing on yourself. lol be well.
  5. yeah, sounds like that's very probable. may want to lift the truck and have a better looksy. it shouldn't have any play in it.

  7. i bet it got a little damp under the hood. my s-10 hates water crossings too. give it a few and after a few coughs it runs ok again.
  8. do NOT use one of those quick change places. search for horror stories here in the forums plus save your money for another project. DIY my man. venge, why does dexcool eat your system? it's supposed to be gentler and safer.. hmm. that's what i was planning on putting in my truck after i get the t-belt done if i ever get on it. mercedes recommends that stuff and i will put it in it next time also. aluminum heads and all. personally i like just water in the summer (+ a little water wetter or coolant to keep it from corroding)
  9. in africa? no clue but maybe if you search the forums there maybe a link or at least a clue. the subject has been discussed numerous times before although it has been a little while.
  10. starter going, going, going.. use BFH on it. that may help for now but you'll need a new one.
  11. probably will need to weld on some new sheet metal.
  12. ok, just wondered. so they are wired for one then. they aren't manual, if you will.
  13. are the 9000s adjustable via the switch in the cab or does one have to roll under the truck and flip the little switches?
  14. might want to clean it up and maybe tighten thos a bit.
  15. yeah, definitely you could eliminate the fluids by smell. they are all kind of distinct.
  16. i think you mentioned your answer. diff maybe?
  17. it probably will fit but you'll have to get the ecu and all that. sounds like heck of a project but do update us on your progress. good luck, you'll probably be the first.
