  1. yeh but, wouldn't you still get heat out of the vents?
  2. I'm with 88 on the fan clutch. as to the thermo: that's entirely possible but when have you flushed your cooling system last???
  3. try kbb and others like it....
  4. ... and you have to be stationary. Did you play a little too hard on the farm???
  5. sound to me like the O2 sensor but run codes to check 4 sure. Any injector cleaner should do it.. I wouldn't assume anything anymore, obvious or not; especially if they are/were not that familiar with pathys...
  6. yup, exactly.. it may even be tranny shift regulator (is it modulator? or whatever the darn thing is called, can't recall right now)
  7. check ecu codes (garage-stikies) maybe time for O2 sensor or maybe fuel filter especially if MPGs have dropped... slippage would be indicated by increase of RPMs.. p.s. you need to close your tags for them to be active...
  8. are you sure you're not low on the blinker fluid???
  9. yeh but you'd also have some hellacious missing if have cracked anything.... power stearing fluid could be red too.... maybe the white smoke is realated to the leak... burning off on the exhaust...
  10. 20mpg is pretty great for a pathy. i really don't think you can get much more then that.
  11. we have LogoAthletics here in town along with other screeners. let me look into it after some turkey...
  12. right now i am just checking it for viscocity and suspention (grime) till i find regular gl4.
  13. BFH... but gently... these bolts sometimes snap and then you have another mess on your hands... PB Blaster...
  14. you're probably right on that especially if you're all stock.... Get O2 sensor quick, that's what's killing me... I got one for $45 (look around) i just still haven't exchanged it... darn rust...
  15. not really following you there but if it's mysterious squeak that seems untraceble it maybe be your ball joint. those were exact symptoms on one of my cars.. the ball joint actually sheared off one day... if you press on the hood area and it does the squeak check that. if the ball joinst have no grease fittings and have not been repacked then i bet you're due... pretty simple job... upper is cheap. lower way more... some of the other questions can be answered if you look just a bit lower in this forum... also use the search engine to look for cv axles and rotors... related disassembly info... as to repacking itself... i normally put a chunk of grease in the palm of my hand and then press the bearing into the greae till the grease comes out the ends, rotating to another spot when finished. i tend to shove more grease from the end too. then smear a bit on the races and place the bearing in...
  16. yeh, you'll get terrible milage in 4wheel. 4hi - low teens (mi/gal) and 4lo lower then that. I got 8mpg a few times...
