  1. Usually the capacity for 3.0L v6 engines is 3.5 quarts. Check your dipstick after that point to see what the oil level is. As far as Liters, 3.5 quarts converts to 3.3 liters. Hope this helps n0c
  2. I started offroading in the first beater I ever owned....a 1982 Pontiac 2000! I actually took it offroading just once...and after I smashed the oil pan and blew the engine that was the end of that. I stayed out of the woods with cars up until I bought my pathy in 98. I sure did miss driving in the woods and I'm darn happy to do so now!! n0c
  3. The first thing that I noticed while offraoding in my mostly stock Pathy was that the wheels go out of allignment easily. Check out the thread I started a while back.. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=1024
  4. I personally like how my Nissan engine winds itself down with OD off, especially going downhill in the winter. I've driven alot of other cars that don't have any wind-down at all, resulting in massive use of brakes...which some of us know doesn't mix well with an icey hill!
  5. LoPro, Unloco, Ra, Endo and Dope on a regular rotation.
  6. Never titled and registered eh? I bet they were titled and registered before they were stolen and repainted! :o

    Fuel Leak

It packs a pretty good buzz!!! I don't have any excessive fuel smell inside, just a noticible scent outside the rig after filling the tank to the brim. As long as I don't fill it completely it's fine. I plan on replacing it ASAP, it's just a matter of getting enough cash around to order it and scheduling an appt to get it installed.

    Fuel Leak

I also have a similar issue with my fuel tank after a fill-up. I had Firestone do a vehicle check a couple weeks ago and they said that the tank was leaking from the top and would have to be replaced. I then started looking online for new fuel tanks. I found http://www.discountgastanks.com/ to be the best deal out there... Only $209.00 with FREE shipping! Not bad at all. There's also a $5 discount if you purchase it online.
  10. Free is definitely good... I have a lifetime allignment through Firestone, which I paid like $90 for in the beginning, but have far exceded the value of that many times over. I get an allignment with every oil change now. I think they charge around $55-60 a pop, so it was a great investment!
  11. Like 88 mentioned, you'll need to get the center hole on the front rims bored out. I measured my hub on my 95 XE and it's 2 7/8". Then hopefully your lug holes aren't effected and will line up. n0c
  12. Yeah, I forgot to mention that my pathy gets 15 with 4WD OFF... It's around 12 mpg during the winter months when I make my hourly drive to work and have 4W engaged the whole way...which isn't very often thank goodness n0c
  13. My stock 95 XE gets 15 mpg consistantly. But my daily drive to work is up and over many many hills and mountains. Take a look at the stats on a 2004...they also get 15 mpg, so I feel my pathy's still doing pretty good Pretty much count on 15, unless you're driving all highway with no hills, then you'll probably get 18-19 mpg. n0c
  14. I was confused about the "Power AT" button at first also. Somehow it got clicked on and while driving it for the next couple days I thought my tranny was dying! I also heard Cruise Control mentioned. I sure wish I had cruise control
  15. I bought my 95 XE in 1998 with 32,000 miles on it, for $14,500...plus a tacked on $4,000 from a previous sports car that was beyond my means and lost value too fast..LOL. I just paid my pathy off last month! But it books for 'bout $5,000...so at least I'm on the plus side again! n0c
  16. That's a pretty good deal for those. My pathy doesn't have the driving lights and I've always wanted to add them on. I need to find the inner switch and wiring that those would plug into. Time to search the junkyards I guess....only thing is that pathy's are hard to find because they go forever! n0c
  17. Nice work statikuz! That doesn't look like too tough of a job...I'm going to have to partake in one of those myself. Did your skidplate fit back on ok afterwards? n0c
  18. I've also considered purchasing a winch. When talking with people about the best way to mount one, they suggested a frame mount, because the Pathfinder bumpers are pretty weak. My front bumper (1995 XE) crushed like a pop can after hitting a deer, so they're not made like most of the heavy truck bumpers. Has anyone mounted a winch to they're bumper/brushguard successfully? I know the Safari Guard that I bought off of AC doesn't have the means to house one. Other than somehow welding one to the frame, I don't know how else I'd get one on there that wouldn't do any physical damage. Any thoughts or ideas? n0c
  19. Thanx for the replies. I've been thinking about going with a steering stabilizer. That L&P center link upgrade looks like the ticket also. Little pricey @ $250 but probably worth every penny! I think that would keep the wheels in line, afterall, I don't do any extreme offroading....just a little muddin sly n0c
