Auto Transmission Fluid: which one?
daftpup replied to 94LE-BlackEmerald's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
That's compatible Simon but wasn't there issues with some Pathys regarding occasional rough shifting and how NissanMatic fluid would remedy that? Did this only apply to the R50's? -
I think my old ones were 235 as well. Regardless, they were a 28" all-season tire and I now have 30" all-terrains. As I mentioned, big improvement in handling and appearance.

I just put a set of BFG AT's on my 96 last week and they are a definite upgrade from the old tires. The steering is better and I have less body roll not to mention a beefy tread for winter.

Due to our schedules we see each other just a few hours a week That keeps the marriage fresh huh?

My 96LE has factory alarm with engine shutoff. I actually found this out completely by accident(long story) a while after buying it. Just have someone open it from inside the vehicle while it is locked and you'll know. Here in Winterpeg, we're right up there with Lower Mainland in auto thefts but the Pathys are not a big target here. Clubs are better than nothing but you should have an alrm with shutoff IMO. Sorry to hear about your tools Man. Guys that steal other guys tools are tools!

Especially if you have the heated seats :tonguefinger:

Hey Brian. I think that's a good price if you compare it to mine. I paid 7500 in March of 06 for my 96LE. SUV's have dropped a bit since then but, comparatively speaking it looks good.

Sorry I forgot to answer your battery ?. I tried it on my 96 and it didn't work. I still get an intermittent SES light but I don't worry about it b/c the truch runs good. Did you try gascap ( no rag pls). Does it run fine? Is it overly thirsty? I have read on this very forum that if the truch runs ok when the SES light is on, I would narrow it down to gascap or O2 sensor after the cAT which does no real harm but could be an emission issue in BC. Hope this helps

OK. This won't help the venerable wd21'ers, but I have a pdf for a 96. That will work for 96-99 correct? I will gladly share this but being a 226 page pdf it is large(1.7mb i think). I don't know how to post this to our forum but it can be e'd right? If anyone has tips clue me in.

yes. I believe the 2 acronyms are used to describe the same thing. As for temp/ compass, on my 96 I had to re-calibrate the compass when I bought it(not that I need it) but apparently the temp problem has got to do with a faulty sensor. I eventually just turned mine off. Keep playin with the search tool and you'll get it. WTF...all the new tv shows suck anyways.

Pretty sure you can't go bigger than 31" without lift. Some even rub with 31's from what I've read. You have to search on this forum with specific keywords and you'll get lots of info. People on here are quite friendly and helpful but they like you to do a little leg work first which is good because you learn stuff...I mean if you're like me who keeps dropping the wrench on my toe or you're new to 4WD's.

He prolly had a rag for a gascap to, huh?

Hence your handle.

Dispense with the factory fogs, install bitch bar, and mount them on there. That's what I'm doing and I'll post pics when completed.

202,000 kms. It had about 180,000 when I bought it in April/06 and was way cleaner than almost anything else I looked at including lower mileage vehicles. I wouldn't really call it a daily driver because it sits for 4 or 5 days some time. I use it for fishing and camping so most of the kliks I have put on have been highway. I'm just starting to have some minor electrical problems now(headlight relay, burnt taillight) have replaced the front brakes and it will need struts soon. It's going in this week for a tranny cooler so I can pull a boat next summer.

I'd just keep the best 1 from the old set but I'm a cheap b-----d.
