What did you do to your Pathfinder today?

Came out really nice! I'm all about repurposing stuff, so that's a bonus to me! Sent from my SM-J327P using Tapatalk -

That's really cool seeing all the R50's in one spot. And it's awesome to see everyone pitching in to help out a fellow brother. As far as I know, it's just me and onespiritbrain in our neck of the woods. Mrelcocko is just a few hours away. Would be cool to get an east coast group photo like this! Check my lift plans? 1997 Pathfinder
03TroutFinder replied to chrisfromthelc's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
This is the exact setup I have in regards to the shocks you mention minus the 1" spacer. I am going to add a 1/2" spacer to level the front end out a little more though. I think the 1/2" will be o.k.. 1" may be too, but I would not think of going any more than that I kept my 2" spacer on after I put on the OME HD springs(since they said 0.5" lift) and it was way out of whack. Loved the height, but definitely not safe due to the cv axle angle, plus the camber was ridiculous. Dont think 2 camber bolts on each side would have done any good. Check out my build thread if you want a visual of what the stance looks like with that exact setup. Good luck and looking forward to seeing the finished product! VG33 Engine Oil Dipstick Upgrade
03TroutFinder replied to onespiritbrain's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Gotcha. Has been years since I have been down that way. When I was living in Lilburn and had my toyota, I went to one of them to get a few trim pieces only to find the frame and inner body shell of every truck they showed in stock! Looked like an animal carcass after the buzzards and coyote had their fill, lol. Never went back. I'll have to make a trip down there to see what they have, once it cools down! They have a u pull it around here?!?!? Guess I haven't looked too hard, but they few that I have been to haven't allowed unsupervised access. I love the junkyard. Never know what you'll find out there. Used to be a regular weekend trip for me back in the day. Sent from my SM-J327P using Tapatalk -

Thanks guys. I appreciate the comments. I'm very happy with the outcome. SJackson & Mojotrainbrain- Lol, yeah I've gotten a little carried away since I initially posted thus thread. Honestly wasn't sure I would have it this long, but have grown to love it. Keeps me from pulling the trigger on a Tundra, which I was planning to buy 2 years ago. Onespirit- Yeah, that's North Hall park. Just a couple miles from the house and I like the back drop! Spent the majority of the day installing the vinyl flooring and putting the interior back together. The vinyl was a challenge and made a few cutting errors despite the time and thought I put into it. Came out ok overall though. Sent from my SM-J327P using Tapatalk -
If you're looking to lift, I have a 2"/2.5" spacer kit that's available. If your interested, pm me for details. Not using any longer since I went to OME/LR spring setup. Sent from my SM-J327P using Tapatalk

Popped by the paint shop to check on the Troutfinder and it was done, so I brought her home and put her back together-Mostly! Complete color change. Color is Thunder. Toyota color from the 2018 Toyota 86. Pre-pictures are over in the Garage forum. Really like the outcome. It came out Sick! More of the blue comes out when in the shade as can be seen in some of the pics. They were supposed to leave the decals off of the back. I was gonna paint them flat black or just leave them off. Gonna have to prep them and spray them black now! Daylight was running out, so I still have to put the rear tire, jack and rod cannon back on. Although I'm debating the cannon or switching over to an awning. Next up: -Put the interior back together -Build custom slim line nerf bars from stock mounting hardware. -Cleaning and painting the under carriage black including visible exhaust piping, accenting some pieces in Red. -Detail the engine and engine compartment-Blackout with Red accents.- 71 replies

Hey bro. Mine was doing that a few months ago because my drink spilled all over the shifter and apparently caused an intermittent short in the overdrive button. I purchased a new shifter but it did not work for my truck due to the connector being different. So I ended up buying a aftermarket shifter knob and I have not had a problem since. You may want to check that first just to make sure that's not it. Let me know if you need any help with anything since I'm local to you. I'll be glad to help in any way as time permits Sent from my SM-J327P using Tapatalk

What did you do to your Pathfinder today?
03TroutFinder replied to RedRider3141's topic in The Garage
I'm looking.forward to it myself Mjo. Can't wait. Almost feel like the pathy is becoming my midlife crisis to some degree, lol. It keeps my love of cars at bay because I love most everything about them, so I don't feel the urge to go get a newer vehicle and do the same thing to it! I know you know the color now, but out of curiosity what was the color you had initially invisioned? Sent from my SM-J327P using Tapatalk -

Nope, not Cavalry blue. I mistyped when I wrote Heritage Blue. I meant Cavalry Blue (although they do also have a Heritage Blue too!)I initially was going to go with Heath Gray (old FJ color) or Cement. Then saw the Cavalry Blue awhile back and liked it too but was like man if they mixed Cement and Cavalry blue, that would make one sick color. Well, I believe they did just that with this color. Released on the 2018 Toyota 86, it's called Thunder. I saw it in person and my mind was made up immediately! The previous pics show it as a little more blue than the eye sees due to the lighting. The pics were taken early this morning just after daylight, around 6:15 or so. Here's a comparison between it and Cavalry Blue: Sent from my SM-J327P using Tapatalk -

Thanks Man. Looking forward to getting it all put back together. A guy down in Lilburn my cousin knows. He has a body shop. He sprayed another car of mine a few years ago. Not a SHOW quality paint job, but very good job for the money. I can give you his info if interested. Sent from my SM-J327P using Tapatalk -

Sneak peak fellas. Who can guess the color? Hint: New Toyota color released for 2018, Not Heritage Blue*- Correction Not Calvary Blue! Forgot that the fuel door latch was on the drivers door panel, so I had to drop it off so they could finish up, so got to snap these pics! Sent from my SM-J327P using Tapatalk -
Where are you located? I have a 2.5" lift with moog stock replacement springs if you're interested. Sent from my SM-J327P using Tapatalk

Stripped her down, cleaned up some of the trim pieces with a new coat of flat black and dropped the troutfinder off for her new paint job. Going to be prepping the flares for flat black too! Sent from my SM-J327P using Tapatalk -

I'm going to reveal it on here once it's done. One hint though: it's a new color that came out this year on one specific vehicle. Nothing fancy, but I believe it's going to take the look of the r50 to a whole nother level of cool! I and my wallet hope i'm right, lol. Sent from my SM-J327P using Tapatalk -

Rewired for aftermarket speakers, and ran wiring for system. Entire system running off amp power now vs. head unit. "Vintage" Alpine v12 amp, kicker C2 6.5 coaxial, 10" kicker solo baric L7. Just waiting on speaker box to arrive to get sub installed! Re-ran the cb radio to the glove box. We'll see how functional it will be in their since I will have to take the mic on and off. Barely use it though so may not be an issue at all for me. Also changed out the gear shifter. This has fixed the overdrive issue I was having, just dont have option to turn it on now, but never used it anyways. Vinyl flooring arrived. Not truly premolded imo, but have it leveling out now per instructions. Next step- getting her sprayed in the next couple of weeks! Super excited about the color. Much appreciated. I am thinking of going dual color on the seats. Will depend on cost. Drivers seat needs recovered. All other seats are in pretty good condition and the leather can just be dyed/conditioned. Like the idea of just biting the bullet and having it done, even if all vinyl!
