  1. Ya, I have an automatic. And the price was what made me go with pacesetter. I figured any after market header was better than stock and the price was something I can afford. All in all, I'm happy with them, now to see if my gas milage improves...
  2. I'll try to get some picks in the next few days.
  3. Well, I finally got my truck back today. Everything is installed except the high flow cat which did not fit. The guy only charged me $150 for the install which isn't too bad. It sounds pretty good, but it's not as loud as I was expecting. But I got them more for power and better milage than noise. I kind of wish I went with thorley now that I read all this, but live and learn, I think these headers will do ok though. I might try to weld that high flow cat in later, but for now, I'm just glad to have my truck back in one piece.
  4. The studs that came out looked brand new and shiny, but i don't know if they were the good one, but only one broke so... Not sure about the easy out, don't know much about those.
  5. So I got the pace setter headers and the gibson cat back for my 95 and took it to a place because I don't have the space/tools to do it. I was there for 5 hours and the headers weren't even on yet! They fit so tight it was a big pain, and then the guy had to take a stud out on the passenger side to get the header to fit and the stud broke! So he drilled it, put an easy out in and the easy out broke! So he kept it there over night and it's still not done today! He said the headers are on but the bung for the exhast sensor was too small so he had to tap it out! Hopefully it will all be done tomorrow and I won't be broke from labor charges, he said he wouldn't charge me too much though. Any one else have this kind of grief with pacesetter or any other headers? Well, I'm done griping for now i guess.
  6. Ha ha ha!! That's pretty good. Alright I get the point, no electric supercharger. Thanks for the advice and info guys I really appreciate it. Hopefully this will help others in the future too, if they can use the search function that is...
  7. I was a bit confused when I bought my XE because it has tons of options. the chrome looking wheels, power locks, power windows, alarm, rear wiper, it's pretty nice. I wish I had fog lamps, stock roof rack and that rear air deflector thing. But all in all, my xe is equipped pretty nice.
  8. I've got headers too, guess I worded that wrong. I have new headers, high flow cat and cat back exhaust, pretty much all aftermarkert exhaust.
  9. Well, I already did the custom k&n cone filter thing and have caustom header-back exhaust. I was just looking into some other options for power with out sacrificing gas milage. Thanks for the input.
  10. I was browsing around for an air intake tube for my 95 pathy and stumbled across electric superchargers. Anyone know if they are worth the time/money? Seems like a good idea, seems like an electric fan/compressor you put in you intake after the maf and it says it runs 1psi of boost or 1.7 on a more expensive one. Like I said, seems like it could work in theory, just thought I'd see what you guys thought. Thanks.
  11. I don't know if you already got the pathy running, but mine mysteriously died once and turned out my computer crapped out. I had to get a new one, luckily the warranty i had covered the $900 so I got lucky. Hope this isn't your problem, but thought I'd just throw my 2 cents in.
  12. The only reason I might not do the ecu upgrade is that I would have to sacrifice my already questionable milage for a power gain. That's why I liked the idea of the module I can turn on and off. Plus it's about half the price. But you do get what you pay for most of the time, so I'll have to weigh my options.
  13. It might be me. Just have to save some extra cash!
  14. That sounds just crazy enough to work! j/k Thanks, I'll give that a try.
  15. I have the exact same problem with my 95 and haven't found any known causes or fixes. Hopefully someone knows something.
  16. I think it's funny that a person so concerned with the environment (dowser) is driving a v-6 suv with 31" BFG's. If you care sooo very much about the earth, shouldn't you be driving a hybrid car or something? Just an observation. So I believe the "glass house" analogy DOES apply to you.
  17. I was browsing around 4x4parts.com and found this power control module http://www.4x4parts.com/public_html/shop/i...186541b4e0e1f94 My question is, has anyone tried one or know if they work well and are worth the $190? I would guess it decreases gas milage, but it says it has an on/off override switch. If anyone could give me a heads up on these, it would be appreciated.
  18. right now... MTV2's headbanger's ball vol 2 disk 1 awesome compilation of metal!
  19. When I bought my 95 xe the dealer said they replaced the engine as part of a recall at around 20,000 miles. I was wondering if anyone knows about this recall and if I might have new exhaust manifold studs that wont have the usual problems? Any input would be helpful.
  20. Thanks for the input. The rear ABS must not do much because I can lock those wheels pretty easy, but it probably is just the front wheels locking, which makes it hard to steer on snow and ice which I encouter a lot in ND. Thanks again.
  21. I read somewhere that all pathfinders made after 94 had ABS stock. Is this true? If so, mine does not work. When I turn the truck on the little abs light comes on and goes off with the other various lights but I don't seem to have abs, I can lock up the wheels quite easily if I try. Could I have an abs problem or does mine simply not have it. Any input would be appreciated.
  22. Thanks for the input. I think I will toss this thing. I put it on before I read those quotes and haven't noticed any improvement, and it's not worth the risk of screwing up all that other stuff. Thanks again everyone.
  23. I bought a resistor chip on ebay that is supposed to give me more hp by giving the ecu a constnt cold air signal. But my problem is I need to install it between the ecu and IAT sensor, but I can't find it in my owner's manual or my chilton's manual. Does anyone know where this is? I'm pretty sure the plug right next to my filter is the mass air flow sensor and there's a few more plugs near where the intake connects to the engine. The instructions that came with this thing are not very clear. Thanks for any help.
  24. A few months ago, my rear wiper started getting stuck in the space between the door and the window that flips open. If I get out and bump it (or blast my subwoofer real loud) it will get on the window and start working. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas on how to fix it? The only idea I had was to maybe put some silicone or something in that space but it might just stick on that too. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
