  1. Let's see... $40 - k&n cone filter (homemade adapter) $400 - New half shaft and cv boot $100 - new o2 sensor $1200 - tranmission rebuild by nissan $900 - new ecu (my old one crapped out) $700 - stereo stuff, (see my sig, does this stuff count?) +$375 more soon $600 - for headers and cat-back including install $1000 - new wheels and tires I think that's about it. That comes to $5,315 including the new stereo stuff I'm about to get. The tranny, half shaft and ecu were covered under a warranty I got through my bank, but it was still money spent on the truck.
  2. I have heard a 350 fits in the wd21's with some new engine mounts. I saw one once online, it might have been the white one, not sure. But it looked like there was a lot of custom fab work under the hood.
  3. I bought my 95 in dec of 02 and the dealer told me the engine was replaced for a recall (don't remember reason, probaly what you are talking about though) at the truck's 20,000 mile mark. So I always have the satisfaction of knowing my engine has 20,000 miles less than my truck, which is nice. sly Sorry, everyone else that didn't get it.
  4. I think it looks a bit unproportional too. 35's are cool, but not on a pathy, 33's are the biggest I would want to go, strictly from a looks standpoint. I bet those AC uca's snap if he sneezes too hard in that rig from what I've heard about the quality + having to deal with 35's!
  5. I'll take one white. Will you give us info on where to buy and send money when they are available? Sorry if that's a dumb question...
  6. I'll take one white for the back window, that's where all my various stickers seem to be congregating, heh heh
  7. You have to pay money to be a member now? I thought NPORA membership was free? I didn't pay anything and I'm on the member page... I joined a while back though...
  8. Mine's not doing too bad... My passenger window rolls up real slow, verrrryyyy slow in the winter. i know there's a fix, just haven't had the time to try it. On my passenger door, you have to pull the handle 3 times (weird) to open it from the inside. I think I stretched something trying to force it open when all my doors froze shut and trapped me inside one winter. I was dumb and went to a car wash when it was a bit too cold... heh heh -thnkboutit- I think I have an exhaust leak at the y pipe on my pace setter headers, but it doesn't really bother me, you can't really hear it with the radio on. I think that's it. All in all, pretty minor stuff. I only have 86,000 or so miles on my 95 so I should be doing ok for a while, engine-wise any way.
  9. I'm with packie, my 300watt amp has a 25amp fuse if I recall correctly. 15 doesn't sound like enough for a car amp to me. Also, are you sure your wiring is all correct? That looks like a 2 channel amp, so I'm assuming you're bridging it. Are you bridging it correctly (negative from one channel and positive on the other)? I would probably double check all the wiring, make sure nothings crossed or grounding out on the sub itself or the amp. If it still blows, get a bigger fuse, and if nothing melts, you might be good. If the bigger fuse blows, you might just have a bad amp or something.
  10. I asked about this same thing earlier and I bet your abs is working. It just doesn't seem like it because your front wheels which are getting more braking power are locking while you rear wheels with the abs are not. It actually helps on dry pavement fairly well as I've tried it. But on ice or snow or anything slippery, it's pretty much useless. Rear abs just seems kind of dumb to me, if anything, you would think it would be on the front, as the purpose of abs is to help you steer in emergency braking conditions. If the fronts are locked and the rears are not, the rear won't come forward on you, but you can't steer, so what's the point? Anyway, that's my little rear abs rant. hehe
  11. From what I've heard and read, the tornado does not work. So I wouldn't waste the money.
  12. That's cool. Maybe i'll give it a shot. I'm pretty sure I don't have it, but I was just curious. My snow/ice traction sucks, which is what makes me think I don't have it.
  13. is there anything in the vin number that would tell you if there's lsd, cuz i don't feel like crawling in the snow in the below zero weather to try to find a sticker. :sniff: hehe
  14. OK, thanks for all the help and info guys! Your wealth of knowledge is always appreciated!
  15. well, i have an AT and I dont really wheel at all anymore, so I think synthetic will work for me. is the gl-4 for MT only, or is that for AT too?
  16. So I've been hearing a lot about people putting synthetic lube in their tranny's, diff's, etc. And it's supposed to really free up the drive train. So I did some searches in here about it and did not come up with a lot except to use gl-4 only. I know nissans can be picky about lubes so I was just wondering if it would hurt anything to go synthetic in the diffs too. And does the transfer case have it's own lube? And if so could I go synthetic there too? Point me in the right direction if there's a whole thread about this that I missed. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
  17. Yes that's it! Thank you so much! And sorry, forgot there was turbo stuff in there, it was a while ago. Thanks again though!
  18. No it was a link to an article on a web page talking about the difference between long and short headers, the different kinds of headers and which designs are better, which design of cat is better, and stuff about mufflers. It was very informative but I can't find it. It even talked about the diff between exhaust backpressure and exhaust velocity. I know someone here posted it, but like I said, I just can't find it now.
  19. I have the interior spare and put my box with a 12" sub in it up against the seat and the spare with the sub facing back. I figured I'd try to keep it on the side where space was already taken to leave more room on the other side.
  20. Mine's a maroon color, or "burgandy" maybe, but everyone calls it red, so I just checked that on the poll, stupid people influencing my decisions... hehe
  21. I ran across a link to a real good article about exhaust and headers and stuff, I think it was a subaru page. If you know where it is or who posted it, I'd like to know because I want to read it again and show it to my dad. I know about search, and tried it several times but could not find it. So please don't yell at me but if you can help me find that (the link or the thread or whatever), I would really appreciate it. Thanks
  22. Since the guy didn't have time to put the high flow cat in, I was wondering if I could try to fab something up and weld it in place. Would this be worth the trouble? I'm looking for gas milage, sound and power, probably in that order, milage most important, etc...
  23. Interesting, I think I'll have to look into this Jacob's thing. Thanks for the info.
  24. Man, that supercharged pathy has a mean rumble to it! Wonder what kind of exhaust he's running, i saw headers but not sure what kind. Wish my rig sounded like that!
  25. Is that jacobs ignition the same as an msd just a different brand or are those two different things?
