  1. Yeah, I'm not too sure how well these are going to work in the long run, either. Took the shaft apart again, and the joint ends already show some marring from contact inside the caps, and they have maybe <15 miles on them. I suspect it's from pressing them a little to line-up the clip channels, but not sure what other option I have. Thought about cleaning and re-using the previous joints, but I'd only be able to make one joint from the parts, and it's probably not worth it.

I'm just going to relocate the zerks to the caps so that they're actually accessible and put it all back together, hoping it resolves the rumble.

Just be careful, as that might throw off the balance of the driveline. also make sure it came out the exact same way it was in before. They are balanced.

  2. YETI!!! That's the name I finally decided on the other day

Funny that you say that, because I have a sticker on my dash that says YETI. Not after the coolers but a buddy put it on and I left it.

  3. Just take it to a muffler shop and have them quote your to fill in the space. Had a local muffler shop make me a 4" Muffler delete pipe that measured about 32" long and they charged me about $10.

  4. I've got the Pacbrake 2.5 Gallon On board air system on mine. My tank is on the passenger side bolted to the frame right next to my compressor under the back seats. Its a tight fit but it doesnt hang down below the frame. I use mine all the time and even added some air horns to play with. It runs to 140 PSI and does fine filling my tires and anything else I need. If your really worried about space you can get the 1/2 gallon tank, but i'd imagine your compressor would have to run most of the time to fill up tires.

  5. If you want your front speakers louder you'd have to replace with an aftermarket, or try to find one that isnt for an amped up system. The other option would be to meter the ohm's to one of the speakers. Its probably running 8 ohms, so if you took an 8 ohm resistor and sautered it in positive to negative you can drop the ohm load to 4 ohms. So in a nutshell, the deck will put out just a little more power to the speakers because of the drop in resistance.
