If its the front defrost, pull the controls out and make sure the cable moves when you put it to defrost setting. If its your rear defrost, unplug the tabs and take a multimeter to the terminals and check for continuity. If you don't have continuity, then your defrost lines are broken. check the compression/strut rod bushings and make sure they are not worn, and have a tire shop check the alignment on your front end because mine was off barely and did the same thing. For the 4wd light, its possible you just have a burnt out bulb.

I'd pick it up tomorrow if I didn't just buy a z car and live in Idaho. Good looking rig. Hopefully somebody else will appreciate what you've got.

I had a Chevy s10 the same way. Its nice when running into the store or starting in cold mornings. Id start it and take my keys and lock the doors.

Are your Euro style lights in your bumper the Anzo ones? http://www.anzousa.com/nissan-pickup-86-97-parking-signal-lights-chrome-clear.html

Have you tried the calmini idler arm? Its design is supposed to be braced already. I've heard good things of it. What would the benefits of the manual steering box be? Sorry just never heard of somebody doing that.

Just broke 190,000 miles on my 88.

When installing LED bulbs, Polarity is the key. Multiple bulbs in backwards with blow the fuse. I run into that all the time installing RECON cab lights on pickups at work. It all depends on the amperage of the fuse. The smaller the fuse, the more sensative it will be to a backwards bulb.

Still have a few more things to do install the passenger side heated mirror, install the alarm module, figure out why the rear hatch release isn't working, and find a drivers side heated seat, and the electrical speedo is off 5mph at 70mph.
I can't believe how much difference there is between the old 3.0 tbi and the 3.3 mpi
Check out the Audiovox seat heater kits. I prefer these kits over all and very easy install. http://www.voxxelectronics.com/seat-heaters/

Replaced mine but dont remember the brand. Buy a NEW one with a WARRANTY. Never had problems with mine since replaced about 9 months ago.

Toyota rims would work if they are offset. Same bolt pattern but the Nissan hub bore is slightly larger.

IMO, Stick a Race Sport Gen 2 LED kit in your headlights and be done with it. Then you can actually have a DOT cutoff and be legal. Did that over a year ago, and would do it again.

Best to pull them and check the rod. Make sure it hasn't warn the the metal sleeve. My bushings didn't look too bad until I pulled it apart to inspect further.
