  1. Holy crap, they even had daily wages?! All while the Nazi's placed humans in ovens and took the gold from the mouths of their prisoners without anesthetics....
  2. Wow, just read the article. Terrible way to go. Would be interesting to visit. I love this type of stuff. Not a crash site specifically, but historically significant points of interest via off road traveling.
  3. I don't suppose the wreckage is still there, is it?
  4. now that sounds f'n cool. Crash site of a b52?!?! Where is this supposed to be?
  5. That area looks so lush. Temperate rain forest? Do you camp when you are out in that area or are those runs just for the day?
  6. Thats no good. Take care of your back! Nice winch!!
  7. Wow, thats awesome! I agree with 96Pathfinder4x4, I wish we had wilderness like that close by. Looks like a blast!
  8. Attempting to take long exposure shot of visible Milky Way Galaxy but was drunk with sleep deprivation...so you can still see that there was a boat load of stars out
  9. Made a lot of progress this weekend but I wish i would have ordered the front springs too. Thought I could get away without them. Damn it.... The truck drives so well now. I thought it was pretty nice before but its clear the suspension was shot. Even without new front springs the ride quality shot through the roof. Very firm, but not bouncy in any way. Took the Pathfunder up to Grouse Ridge for a quick camping/star viewing trip after a run to Auburn for some parts for the trailer. The Bilsteins and KYB's ate up some pretty rough terrain on the way up to Grouse Ridge lookout at speed without skipping a beat. Freeway driving improved drastically. And with a bunch of gear, dogs and us the rear didnt even flinch at the weight. They settled considerably after the rough drive and look decent but i think i might take the spacer out in the rear. The OME's claim to be 1.75" of lift so I added one of Steves spacers, thinking it would come closer to the front height. its clear that the front droops without a matching set of OME's, despite having 2" spacers. Also picked up a set of tires and wheels but need to trim and get springs before i can run them without rubbing. Still need to install the hubs but ran out of time. I was hoping to be able to gauge fuel mileage increase, if any. Oh well. Lots to do, not enough time. Before After
  10. Nice little Friday pick-me-up. Been a rough week
  11. Good to hear. Looking forward to the OME's arriving today. This weekend should be interesting. Got the pathfinder back yesterday. Opted to do the power valves myself as the shop wanted 800 to do them. Was hoping to save some time by taking it in and having the shop do it. But the good news is the inspection turned put great. Just needs brake pads and am external oil cooler. should be lookin good after Sunday
  12. I would say a little later because 880 traffic will be pretty rough around that time. original time of 7pm works better i think
  13. NICE!! Try having them resurfaced. A machine shop should be able to get them true really quickly. Cheaper than a new set
  14. U headed to WA from Ca too? Seems to be a popular destination these days for us California folks.
  15. And I got the RRO shipping confirmation for the springs. Looks like they will be here Saturday
  16. Took the pathfinder in for an inspection before our long distance travels in August. Having them also check and loctite the power valves while they are at it. More parts arriving today as well, with the springs here by Friday hopefully. Should have the truck back this weekend for a lil lift workshop.
  17. Looking good!! So it was a left to right issue? Or mounted inversely?
  18. Holy crap. Very lucky. Even if the spring and strut are still assembled the compressor itself becomes a projectile, as you experienced, with the potential to do some serious damage. Maybe use a tie down to secure everything in place, even with the locking type compressor. Never can be too safe.
  19. Your compressor broke?! Oh man...when things fail under load it can go bad very quickly. I had a 2ft section of 7/8 allthread pull out of a bulkhead when using a 50ton hydraulic ram. I'm still alive for some reason, unscathed from that incident. I hate using that kind of equipment in an uncontrollable situation. Have a shop do it. They have the cage to protect themselves and your rig
  20. I think any way you send them will be expensive. The springs are heavy and will bring high shipping rates no matter how you send them. I agree with Rebelord. Try finding an Australian or Asian vendor
  21. No problem, Desi. http://www.rocky-road.com/nissan-pathfinder-lift-kit.html Make sure to choose the 96-04' springs
  22. verified that the springs are indeed stateside. Pretty inefficient...shipping from Seattle warehouse to RRO in UT, then to me in California. Could have saved a few bucks and some gas if they just shipped directly to me.
