  2. I started reading this thread from the beginning, the first several pages anyways, not sure if you did or not Boston, but I think some of your questions have already been addressed. From what I gather it's totally up to you, as you can mix and match coils and struts. Plus you got spacers to play with. Great information in here!!
  3. They are the in channel ones indeed. And no they work fine with the windows. But you have to make sure to really push them and keep the windows shut after the install. It's my first experience with in-channel ones. On my explorer I have the ones that attach to the outside. What a mess that leaves once they come off!! I had a buzzing coming from one as te glue was getting weak so I re-taped it, which was a huge PITA. So I'm hoping these will be more user friendly and effective.
  4. LOL lost lake is in the training area, you don't wanna go there, I've seen tanks get hopelessly stuck and submersed in there... Here is another one from the gravel pit
  5. For the interior I use Turtle carpet cleaner as well as Resolve for the carpets. Just because it isn't marketed as a car product, it still works just as good in cars as in houses. I use a hollow plastic pipe to get it foaming and agitate to lift the deep down dirt. Works extremely well. For the dash I simply use Tub O Towels to wipe everything down with, followed by a micro fiber cloth to get rid of streaks and gloss and vacuum vacuum vacuum. The exterior: Pressure washer followed by foam gun, followed by pressure washer. Then 2 bucket wash with wash mitts, sometimes with Meguiars, sometimes other soaps. I also use chemical guys products and auto finesses, which are higher end products but work extremely well. I have all these for my other cars, so I tend to use the cheaper soaps and products for the pathfinder as it will be getting dirty again. The pressure wash again, then dry off with a leaf blower. Then comes the wax or NuFinish, which works really well to restore shine and protect the finish. The wax or Nufinish is not going on every time though, just when the water no longer beads. RainX for the windows all the way, I love that stuff. And since every thread is better with pics:
  6. Today, added bug deflector and window wind deflectors. Dropped a screw into the motor. Didn't see it after so I figured it landed on the skid plate or something. Started it up and now had a loud ticking sound. Turns out the screw punctured itself through one of the belts in the front. This led to me finding out that there isn't just one serpentine belt but 3 separate ones. Here's the pics
  7. I've been having AC problems too. Refilled it twice. Blows cold for a day and then it's back to lukewarm air. Suspecting a leak but nothing is visible. Unless this stuff evaporates...?!
  8. I tried it before and it ended up rusting my mufflers even worse. I think they are best left alone. It's just a fact of life that mufflers will not last unless they never get wet, i.e. on a garage kept Sunday car / show car. This has been my experience anyways. It helps getting stainless steel material over the regular muffler shop stuff though. But the welds are still vulnerable. This is what happened to my previous setup on my S4 last winter. (Magnaflow)
  9. Yeah I had no idea these places existed. Just decided to go explore, since I only just moved out of town and into the country 2 months ago. Yeah the water is surprisingly clear, considering it's THE major river in New Brunswick. It's where I do all my boating. Some massive scary fish in there!
  10. One is ricer, the other isn't. Just my opinion. You don't have to agree.
  11. Bought a CB radio with antenna and mount. Yakima Roof rack and cargo basket are on the way. Lift will be done this Thursday. Just need the wheels and tires to hurry up already.
  12. Decided to go explore my immediate area for trails and off- road spots. Turns out there are lots!! Found an abandoned quarry and some remote beaches
  13. ^^ Nice, that's awesome, doesn't it feel good to have it "cleansed" again. I was really amazed at how well these factory carpets are holding up throughout the years. I changed the oil filter and stuck this on: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/38490-cdn-s4-build-thread/page-2
  14. Officially NPORA'd Sent from Tapatalk
  15. Found the oil filter, was pretty easy once I removed the factory belly plate, which had all but 4 screws snapped off, and I snapped off 2 more.
  16. Using tapatalk is THE easiest way to post pics. Just click the photo icon on the bottom of your text window when you post and snap a pic. Sent from Tapatalk
  17. I have an ODB2 cable for VAGCOM (Audi VW) and the plug looks like it would fit, but i only have the software for VAG vehicles. Is there a free software for Nissan?
  18. EPIC!! SO jealous! What kind of antennas for you CB's do you guys have? Sorry if this has already been answered. Both these PF's are amazing!!
  19. ^^ lol thanks, I do have a bit of a thing for car detailing. I own way too many cleaning products, buffing, polishing, the whole 9 yards. That's a positive side effect I guess of owning a show car. A status which my S4 has only been able to achieve due to the Pathy, because now it will never drive in rain or snow again. I will definitely take some before and after pics. Today, I actually took it off-road for the first time. Nothing crazy, nothing spectacular, just dipped my big toe into the water to check it out. When I came back I got the service engine soon, light on. I changed the oil, but holy crap, where on earth is the oil filter??!! LOL I have a spare filter, but even with the manual and internet pictures I couldn't figure it out. And the whole "nintendo" combo thing of resetting the warning light hasn't worked for me either. So tomorrow, I'll put on the NPORA decal. I'll wait with the big PF decal until I actually have a lift and wheels and tires. I got too much beer down range right now to put the decals up now, they probably wouldn't be straight lol.
  20. It's no longer applicable, you already answers. Reference decals. Thanks Sent from Tapatalk
  21. So I ordered the Yakima Load warrior with extension. A bit pricey but I'm hoping this will prevent me from having to buy a higher end one after my less expensive one brakes. Hopefully this assessment is correct. Also, next week, a 2"'lift will be on order, installing the spacers. I received my decals from Fleury and my wife is now calling me a hill billy for wanting to put the pathfinder decal across the windshield. On any other car, I totally agree that it's super lame to do that, and I personally make fun of people in honda civics (no offense to any civic owners) that put great big Honda decals on their cars. But I find for an off-roader, it's much more appropriate and actually looks good IMO. Looks like I'll just have to wear the flame suit at home for a while lol. My wheels are still 6-7 weeks out from being ready as they are made order. Stupid unicorn bolt pattern. Sent from Tapatalk
  22. If you're looking for lift on a budget, check out Fleury 's spacers from 4x4 designs. Good start with the spare carrier! Sent from Tapatalk
  23. Pics please!! Sent from Tapatalk
  24. ^^ that's what I wanna know too. Didn't find it on his website. I received the spacers today and wanna know how to install them... Sent from Tapatalk
  25. Recharged the AC today and added a Canadian Flag decal on the rear window. Also ordered window wind deflectors and a bug/rock deflector for the hood. Received Fleury's spacers...but, Steve, please check your email, I had a question.
