  1. Got it towed to a shop. New plug. GTG
  2. What you see in the pic is what I discovered upon opening the hood. The plug was broken in half. The other half was still stuck in it. Turns out it wasn't screwed in all the way. Dirt must have ground it down as when I torqued it my wrench indicated it was at the set torque spec. Yes I mean wire. Sorry my other cars use ignition coils.
  3. So I let my wife take the truck today. Half an hour later she called saying he was stranded on the side of the road. So I got in the car and drove out to take over so she could go on to her appointment. I opened the hood and this is what I saw: The ignition coil with spark plug had ejected and was covered in white burn deposits. What the hell?!? Should this be as simple as replacing the spark plug and coil? I hope so. Could this throw off the timing with only 5 cylinders firing?
  4. No I meant shipping for my OME springs. Only place I found that carried them was Rocky Road in the states. Which is why I don't want to not use them. I just want the spacers to drop the subframe and re-align my CVs to a decent near flat angle.
  5. If anyone thinks about buying the camber bolt "kit" know that by "kit" they mean single bolt! I don't know how on earth they consider this a kit if it doesn't t least include one for each side. I put the one in on the side that looked very toed in. These camber bolts are pretty sweet. Was almost able to starighten the wheel out while it was hanging freely. Now with all 4 wheels back on the ground and after a rip around the block, now all wheels appear straight to the naked eye. I will wait with the alignment until I'm done messing with it. Paid for 2 alignments within the last 3 months and each time I end up changing something and throwing it all off again. Krypton so far as not been as supportive as I was hoping. I wanted just the spacers and steering rod extension but they insist I buy the strut spacers too. To me that makes no sense as I won't use them! I didn't spend all this money on springs and not use them. Shipping on those springs is what's killing me. $80 and then 70-90 in brokers fees and HST. That's more than the actual springs themselves. Such a rip off. Open that freakin border to trade! Bumper is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Pretty exciting. Still need to go buy a winch though.
  6. This is what my CV joints look like. Far from straight but should I be concerned for DD? I'm not doing any serious off-road until I have the SFD installed. I do get the occasional "clunk" or "Pop" from the passenger front side. My sway bar bushings are pretty much toast so I attribute it to that. I'm just hoping it's not the CVs. Although I looked them up and they can be had for $100 a pop so not bad at all. Should they be changed anyway every 100.000km or so? Might just do them when I get the SFD.
  7. which Honda? Part number? (if you 2 are still active on this forum?)
  8. ^^^ True, and if money wasn't an issue, I would without a doubt get one of those. Right now, I am very strongly leaning towards the Smittybilt 9500 XRC (synthetic) for just under $600.
  9. I AM TOO!!! I'm actually more confused now about SFD's after checking out the krypton kit for info. I have apox 4" of lift all around, maybe 5 in the back, but the setup is the same. OME springs and 2" spacers all around. The SFD only requires front parts, so if I were to go with the 4" SFD, would I have to revert back to my Nissan springs? Otherwise I'm going to be sitting at 5-6" inches up front. I suppose I would have to lose the front strut spacers. But then again, the kit comes with strut spacers. This is where I get confused. Would I then be able to keep my suspension set up as is now, but drop the sub frame through spacers and a steering link extension only? Thanks
  10. Yes I got it. Thanks. As long as my camber bolts and an alignment can get me straightened out, then there won't be a big rush on the SFD but it will need to be done.
  11. And I need it fast!! I might get one fabbed up by my "guy". Only thing I'm not sure about how to do is the steering extension. Surely I can just reverse engineer the krypton kit.
  12. Yes weight savings is my main reason for going synthetic. It can save between 30-40lbs depending on length. That on top of a bumper IMO is well worth it as our measly 3.3's aren't exactly power houses and with all the other stuff and 33's I'm already feeling the effects very noticeably. Too bad they only ever made super charged Xterras with the 3.3 and not pathys.
  13. Holy TOE!!!! Good thing I already orderd camber bolts
  14. oh yes my CV's are like this very angled / I have no doubt I'm maxed out the suspension travel angles. Time to get a SFD. Might just have to get the Krypton kit if I want to make progress on this. Although I will run it like this for a bit and see it performs. I'm going on an organized 3 day trip in Maine end of May. A bunch of people from over on Expo are going on this. Mostly just gravel and back country dirt road travel.
  15. This is a good idea I hadn't considered yet. I'll look into that and see price diff in buying rope and Hawse fairlead separate.
  16. I wonder if the spacers cause the springs to compress more? I am bit dissapointed in a way. At first it looked great, almost level and I was happy. But within minutes it settled into what you see in the last pic. In a way it's still good as it will be level when I tow and load it up, but once I add my jumper and winch, that will add another 150-200lbs up front. I need a SFD!!! Hawairish, I need you take make one for me lol.
  17. Front OME HD springs are in. Plus 2" spacer from Fleury still. Technically this should be close to 4" of lift. It doesn't really look like that much. It settled as soon as I test drove it. Compare before, right after and after test drive pics:
  18. I'm in the market to buy a decent winch and have been doing a fair bit of research. What I haven't decided on yet is whether to go with steel cable or synthetic rope? I have selected a few winches that I'm considering: Rugged Ridge: (synthetic) http://www.4wheelparts.com/Winches-Winch-Accessories/Performance-Winch.aspx?t_c=18&t_s=300&t_pt=100702&t_pn=RUG15100.11 Rugged Ridge: (Steel) http://www.4wheelparts.com/Winches-Winch-Accessories/Performance-Winch.aspx?t_c=18&t_s=300&t_pt=100702&t_pn=RUG15100.10 Mile Marker: http://www.4wheelparts.com/Winches-Winch-Accessories/SEC8-Scout-Winch.aspx?t_c=18&t_s=300&t_pt=100702&t_pn=MIL77-53141 Smittybilt: http://www.4wheelparts.com/Winches-Winch-Accessories/XRC-9-5K-Winch-Synthetic-Rope-Gen2-With-Aluminum-Fairlead.aspx?t_c=18&t_s=300&t_pt=100702&t_pn=S%2fB98495 Warn: http://www.4wheelparts.com/Winches-Winch-Accessories/VR8000-Winch.aspx?t_c=18&t_s=300&t_pt=100702&t_pn=WAR86245 I haven't picked anything over $1000. Ideally I'd like to be between $4-800. I'm definitely looking for reliability, longevity and capacity. Our pathfinders aren't that heavy, but does anyone have any idea what the minimum recommended rating should be? I was thinking no less than 8000lbs, and only that low on high end brands like Warn or Mile Marker. Let's hear what the NPORA community has to say and help me make a decision. *the list is not exclusive! - open to recommendations*
  19. With all the above info, there should be no issues fitting those at all. That's only 32's. With a 4"SFD you can easily fit 33's.
  20. Well technically he was searching after posting and the posted again to say he found it. But STILL, "great success"
  21. Maybe not though, maybe you're looking for an a next gen auto piloted Audi.
  22. Yeah I will see what options I'll have for the washer bottle. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. I will make sure to take plenty of pics and measurements during the process.
  23. Thanks for that. Strange that I couldn't find it. Turns out I even posted in that thread. I suck! lol And yes, I meant Rough Country, not Rugged Ridge. Was looking at their winches just moments before. I will definitely take lots of pics and detail all the "issues" to make this thing fit. My fabricator guy is pretty good, so I'm kind of hopeful this will turn out real nice. That thread just reminded me that I'm going to have to relocate the windshield washer fluid. My front HD springs should arrive tomorrow, according to UPS, so hopefully on this rainy weekend, I'll get them installed without killing myself. I hate compressing springs.
