  1. I had a cheap filter on it in case i has problems after doing the heads. It was parts master or something. I replaced with a an stp. Now it builds fluid within a second or two in the morning and instant the rest of the day Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk
  2. ughh, GL-4 fluid must be made of gold material.

  3. I was having a problem with the truck a 4 or 5 seconds to build oil pressure in the morning. Put a new oil filter and it's good to go. Now to start the research on a body lift so I can pull the engine and reseal it.
  4. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/36075-pictures-of-the-timing-marks-88-vg30i/ Here is a picture of the cam marks I used. If I remember right I thought the distributor was off, but it ended up being that the electrode inside the cap does not line exactly up with where the spark plug wire attached. It was something along those lines.
  5. I would like to have a 4 door. I would really like to have your truck but right now it's not in the budget. I don't think my problem was even the mechanical fan. I was short on water. I just went ahead and put the electrical fan for those times I dip into some water. I plan on putting it to a relay that I can kill so I don't wear out this fan under water. We are almost done with my friends z71 and then I plan on doing a little more to the truck.
  6. Flush the cooling system and changed over to an electric fan. It now takes forever for the truck to reach half temperature and never goes over.
  7. How about I just drop my truck over at your place for a few weeks, lol.
  8. Swapped out the grille from the one I have with the lights in it to the Hardbody grille that I painted (was Chrome, Thanks to EZlife for the grille !), Truck is close to the house and there is a car behind it so I had to take angled pics for now, it looks pretty good and no more gap against the corner lights Looks good. What are you going to do with the old grille and hella lights? I did not know that grille would work with pathfinder turn signals. I didn't use it cause the chrome signals that came with it were much wider around the edges. I figured if you used the grille you had to use the turn signals, lol.
  9. Saving my change for a bubba rope. I seen one in action and it seems that you could pull out a full size truck with a tricycle.
  10. The suspension is very forgiving. Every time I drive through mud it just seems like the truck slides along. No matter how deep the wheels go if one of them can touch anything it will keep moving. It's definitely not for pulling heavier trucks out. I have did it twice and both times I was simply beating on my clutch and snatching harder then you should. Calibeater I am learning this. We have a place out here called no mans land. I have it made it most of the way across without falling into anything serious. Everyone says they haven't seen anything bigger then an atv make it in years. lol. Maybe with a little more experience and popping the pins like you said I can make a name for the pathfinder.
  11. Last weekend I crawled St. Francis hill in Ocala National Forest. Most of you guys could probably do it on a big wheel but it was a first for me watching the driver rear tire hover in a hole while I continued to crawl forward. Later I took an alternative path next to a 300 foot long canal. I was the only one who had that option because the the alt. path was so thin and eroded. I gained a lot of confidence.
  12. Nice. I didn't want to take the tire carrier off cause I don't like the look, but your stance looks great without it.
  13. Sorry to hear this. Maybe you can vinyl wrap it?
  14. Met up with ahardb0dy and got my new headlight. Then spent about 4 hours in the Ocala National Forest. FWC snuck up on us from the river and advised us not to be tearing it up out there. Luckily we were not. Great trail riding out there.
  15. Put a drop of water on the hood, then use your finger and rub the water around with your thumb applying as much pressure as you can. If the spot looks shiny then you may need to buff out the hood. You can buy LIGHT buffing compound at any auto zone exc. Get a couple terry cloth towels and put your elbow brace on. The compound will turn black as you rub it into a 6 inch area. Take a clean towel and scrub it till all the black comes off. Now it should be shiny. After you are done with the whole hood wax it and keep it waxed. If you can't get the hood shiny with water or compound then you already need clear coat. The bad part is if you have the hood painted it will never exactly match the fenders. If you want it to match you will need to paint the whole car or find a shop that will do a fade. They will paint the hood, dust the fenders and then clear coat all 3 panels. Buff the rest of the car to match the fresh clear coat. Alot of shops will tell you this is substandard work but quite a few reputable dealers paid me to do it and I gladly gave a 1 year warranty in Florida's sun.
  16. Sport bikers with speed problems have followed this man for years. He auctioned this bike off last year and gave up his identity after years of uploading cop chases and ridiculous stunts like this since 2005. Some say it was staged, but it doesn't take away from the 200 mph wheelie in this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=NYL98zcjEyk
  17. When you jiggle the volume button on the radio in hopes to hear all 4 speakers for this song.
  18. Took the alternator apart and freed up the stuck brush. Drilled holes in the housing for the brush. Maybe now the dirt will wash out instead of staying behind the brush. Relocated the computer to the glove box. By relocated I mean I cut the back of the glove box out and crammed the computer in there.
  19. A few trips in the woods and the alternator has went out again.

Took it apart and one of the brushes was stuck. So I drilled holes in the housing and drained the sand. Did alot of research on a water cooled alty but it seems relocating the current alternator is my only real choice without throwing 400 or so at the problem. Autozone life time replacement will be what I buy next until I solve the problem. Let auto zone deal with it, lol.

  20. Well a few weeks later and no problems. I really appreciate the help and support from everyone here. This is a great group of people. I do however believe that npora membership should include a pass to Mr.510's shop. As a matter of fact, an Npora pit crew would be great. Short of that it doesn't get any better. Thanks again.
  21. When the mso is turned into the DMV, it is easy to over look the words, off road use only. As far as the enduro goes I think you would be better off picking up a 4 stroke dirt bike. You can carry it with a hauler that slides into your reese hitch and carries the bike against the back of the truck. A water cooled 250 or 450 four stroke would do fine in the woods. If you still would rather have an enduro check out a drz 450. They are light, dependable and can be bought for around $2500. Put mid-knobby tires, a good o-ring chain and keep the oil changed. It will last for years. As far as your 109, if it's an m series you should check into the Dunlop Elite 3 250/40 18. This will get you more miles mainly by slowing down the problem of one sided tire wear. If not bridgestone offers a very high mileage tire for the c109.
  22. Wow. Congrats twice, once for the award and the second for having a wife who knows where the throttle belongs. Wide open!!!!
