  1. Those KYB are good. Rancho ones don't have a good track record. Plus hard to find.

Monroe, for grandma. They've been known to blow out faster than the Ranchos.

I personally run Gabriel Ultra. I havr abused them hard they are holding up like a champ. I get them from Autozone because they lifetime warranty them for the seals. So if I do blow one out. I just exchange it.

Can be had for cheaper online. The Gabriel do ride stiff though. But also absorb washboard with ease.

  2. Installed the longer rear brake line from AC parts. Works like a champ. Also put in Fluery rear 1" spacers to give it a rake and not have the old California truck look to it. Installed front camber bolts to get it aligned.

Hooked up the A/C machine. It was over charged to 1.75lbs. Way over. At proper pressure the compressor is bouncing. Will need a new one. Recommendations?

  3. Nope. Pull the mounts for the rack. You can then pull it away from the frame just far enough to remove the old ones. The you basically just wrap/rotate the new ones on. The driver side does have to be in a specific position though. You can wipe em down with some dish soap to make em easier to slide on. Doesn't take long.

  4. They are looking at moving the event a little bit. possibly pushing it back a week or so to help with people working around school schedules etc.

That would be beyond awesome if it was pushed back a week or two.

  5. Installed the adapter and harness to install a new style Siriusxm antenna to the factory one.

Works awesome! Sounds much clearer and not so foggy.

Considering that the PO dynomated the rear of the 04 I wonder if he also replaced the speakers? Sounds 1000x better than my 99. Even though the amp in the rear is same part number.

  6. You can only swap clusters that have the same plugs that connect to it. And you can't use a 96/97 that has the mechanical odometer.

There are companies that repair them if they require more than you can do. But usually cheaper to find one in the pull yard and try it. If it works. It's either pay the dealer to flash correct mileage. Which would require the original for verification of miles. Or you can go to your dmv and file a odometer adjustment. Basically a permanent record of new miles on odometer on the title. Gives validation for it. Otherwise if you ever try to sell it, it will be flagged for fraud.

  7. If you read the fsm it tells you how to read the ABS codes. There is a separate plug for the ABS system. It doesn't piggy back off the ecu standard obd2 data link.

You will read which pins to ground out to read the flashes. If you've ever read codes from a obd1 system it's pretty much the same.
