  1. x 2. I used 4LO only once and I definitely felt a difference.
  2. Yeah, I will second that. the KS doesn't really do a whole lot other than adjusting your timing. I have had the KS code for a year and a half since I owned the vehicle before I finally got tired of seeing P0325 on my OBDII reader. I did the relocation just to get rid of the code but it did not change the performance. I did it while I was doing my tune up too.
  3. I thought it was a really good read. I have had a lot of people arguing that wider tires are way better just because. I ended up staying with my skinny tires. Definitely will help me with my future choices when I have to replace my tires down the road. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Yeah the ignition coil basically means replacing the entire distributor. It is probably the most expensive part out of all of them so I wouldn't replace it so soon. Since you have done all of those already, I'm pretty confused that you're still having the issue regardless. Even more puzzling, your engine is running well. More someone can chime in more than I can. I would have to think about it... Does your pathfinder run a little hotter than normal? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. The evap stuff should not affect your vehicle. If it's cranking but not turning over, then I would look at the following things. - starter - distributor (cap, rotor, ignition coil) - spark wires - spark plugs When was the last time you've done a tune up? My other thought is that there could be a clog in your fuel line (sediments?) that doesn't block anything until it is disturbed enough for it. Have you the fuel filter changed? MAF shouldn't affect it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Gorgeous, thank you for sharing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Might be your tie rods then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Both position? As in the 9 and 3 o'clock position as well as 12? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Got a flat on way to work. Put spare on. Found no obvious damage to flat tire. Called my guy and moved installation of new tire to the same day instead of next week. Got new 235/75/15 general grabbers at2. Old tire went out because there was a rip in the side wall on the inside (???). Loving the new tires! No more shake in my steering wheel! 10. Jack your truck up and push+pull at the 12 o clock position. If there's a play at the wheel, your wheel bearings are gone. Wheel bearings are one I those "life of the vehicle" parts but there is a chance for failure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I don't understand. The only difference between the trims in the wheels was the diameter, width and I believe backspace but not sure on that. If it is, that's likely the issue. The wheel well shouldn't be different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Unfortunate! It was a good try though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks! I'm going to see if I can order them in soon. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Nice! They are still going up in price. Bought mine at $249 CDN w 70% discount. Can't complain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Yep! Sometimes I get a much better deal at Lordco with that discount than anywhere else... even RockAuto. Otherwise, I buy from Amazon.com and pick it up across the border (only for big $ orders of course...). How much did you end up paying for your optima?
  16. Thanks! Unfortunately, I don't have the option of waiting for them to go on sale since I had to jump my battery again this morning after sitting in the garage since Friday. So 3 days inactive and it was DOA. Calling Lordco to see if I can get a good battery with the 30% discount. otherwise, I'm going to CDN tire.
  17. Did you check the 90 degree duct boot for the air intake to the throttle body? It's between the throttle body and the MAF sensor. They tend to get brittle and hard before cracking due to expansion and contraction from the heat and cooling down. I had to replace that part on my pathfinder when I found two massive cracks underneath.
  18. Saw the "low fuel indicator" light come on last night. first time i've seen it since I own the pathy. I must be doing something right! Tighten the screws on the valve cover to help with the valve cover gasket leak on the passenger side. They were definitely loose. Will be doing an oil change in the next couple weeks. I will be looking to replace my battery pretty soon. Any recommendations?
  19. sounds good. was the part number 435 for the MM hub? I actually want the MM more than the warn.
  20. I would do garden hose. No high pressure water because you are dealing with 15+ year rubber tubings. Have fun! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Cabin air filter and air filters are two different things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I had a good laugh at this one. My MK5 is fairly reliable, haven't need to bring it in to the shop (knock wood!) but will be doing the brakes pretty soon since it's been a while now. It's not a fun vehicle to drive but will get me from point a to point b. Yesterday, I had to jump my battery on the pathfinder. I accidentally left my headlights on for 20 minutes. The fact that my battery drained that fast is concerning me. Will have to do a load test on it to find out how much life is on that battery and probably replace it when necessary.
  23. You don't need to use high mileage oil. They have additives that wears down the seals and gasket, if I recall correctly. I would do the following things if you haven't done them yet: 1) Timing belt 2) Tune up (Spark plugs, spark plug wires, dist. cap, dist. rotor, air filter, fuel filter) 3) Check your transmission fluid. You got a dipstick on the passenger side of the engine compartment. If it's red, you're solid. If it's not and/or has metal shavings.... do what you gotta do. 4) Clean your MAF sensor. Your truck will love you for it just be careful because that's a $200-300 part.
