  1. Hah..some reason I confused today with Friday Will be getting it fixed tomorrow. Glad To say it did it twice today.. the second time made me mad as I was in the middle of traffic..so I pulled off and unplugged the o2 and tada! Problem was gone. Plugged it back in and it stumbled again. So

  3. Yeah..that didn't fix it..in fact I drove exactly a mile and it did it. Then it lasted for 4-5 miles until it stopped..it seems if I stay on the gas it'll go..if I let off any little bit it'll make the sound and try to die until I feather it enough to start going again and shift down..
  4. Also. As far as MAF goes.. I think mine has the revised connector..as I've not seen one like it. But wiggling didn't do anything and if it.does it again I'll definitely start diagnostics on the MAF
  5. Wires..I sprayed them down with the hose and couldnt see any arcing..ill try again tonight where i can actually see it. But the loose cap does explain why after id clean the engine bay it would miss and stumble.. i do know it didnt do the stumbling again.. who knows! This may have fixed it! Ill keep posted. Tonight after work will be the real test.. Thanks!
  6. Haven't been able to do much But dizzy cap and rotor points look clean. Mayvebjust replaced? Two out of 3 screws were loose..like sitting g there. While the other was a littke snug but not much Maybe thats the problem? It being loose and lwtting condensation in? Hasnt done it yet.. thanks!
  7. Hmm..well..I mean I'd think that..but it'll drive fine for a mile or two (it always happens at the same spot in the road..) but..I mean its true..It looks like I'll be testing injectors tomorrow. And definitely the dizzy cap..
  8. By smooth..I mean like..when its not cold out and having its spell it'll run great! Hmm.. I'll check my injectors as well. These codes were last reset last week..so they're definitely recent..before when I first.got it, the only codes I had were the H02 sensor. So code 51 would do it? I'll tap on all my injectors and see if maybe one has something stuck in it or something.. and the dizzy cap.. thanks everyone!
  9. Aha! Thanks for the clarification!! OK..so the o2 definitely explains my crappy MPG. But..injector..how do I know when any are bad when it runs extremely smooth? (At least unless its having.its spell..)
  10. OK, i've been gone all day..but here's what i have.. This pathy doesnt warm up until roughly halfway up the temp gauge.. Red pathy would be warmed up roughly 1/4 up the temp gauge.. Lets see.. Spark plugs are new NGK. Spark plug wires..i havent changed them. but, none appear to arc, but ill check them. My codes are: 14 Vehicle Speed Sensor (explains loss of cruise..) 33 Heated Oxygen Sensor 34 Knock Sensor (i'll ignore for now..as im sure with that stumbling it'd set it off a lot.) 51 Injector Circuit (Problem?) Honestly..I dont know what these codes mean. I dont know how the ECU judges when to throw a code. My guess since it's not that advanced it would only throw one when say its disconnected, or grounding out? But. I do know, last time. I unplugged the ECTS and the stumbling stopped. I hate to leave it unplugged as it would try to die everytime i put it in gear. So i replaced it and hqvent had any problems. Then again its not been this cold since i replaced it..so problems are back.. Transmission does not slip in any gear but reverse. Yes, my speedo 'idles at 14mph' and it exactly 14mph off at every speed. It's like it needs rezeroed? It goes down to 0 with key off. But, if i let it have its fit long enough until its warm, it'll be fine and take off full of power! Like nothing ever happened. It's gotten to a point where i'll just limp somewhere in 1st-2nd gear and let it have its fit until it warms up. But, i know its not safe because the first time someone turns in fromt of me or a light turns red..ill be stuck until it warms up..i dont know what to do?? But ill check my wires for a arc and see how that goes.. Thank you!!!!! BTW I think all thats wrong with the famous red pathy is vacuum lines are in the wrong places! (Yeah..after all this time i compare it to black pathy and see how everything is completely routed wrong...oops. Anyway..if anymore ideas pop up ill be checking this often. Thanks!
  11. Btw..thought it was the ECTS sensor..replaced it and it was fine until it got cold again..
  12. Alright..so black pathy has been choking out pretty badly since it has gottEn cold out.. So..explanantion..say about a mile or two down the road after pulling out Cold..itll jusy stumble BADLY under ANY throttle unless i feather the pedal hard ans quick and shift it down to 1st or second qnd itll usually be okay around 4-6k..until.i.let off some and itll bog and bog!! Making like a FFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTT noise..until warmed up..   13. If you really want to, there's two ways. The ABS module mounted under the frame around the passenger side..or remove the drover seat and look for a big black box (it'll have a cover over it) and it'll say Nissan on it. That's the ABS computer Hope this helps!
  14. Ah, that's why I said I wasn't sure..I mean I remembered seeing a HB in the JY having ABS and assumed they all came with it. Sorry about that! :-P but I've never seen a WD21 without ABS?
  15. ABS + BRAKE light means you're low on fluid..when they came on for that short amount of time, it sloshed the fluid around enough to make it think its low on brake fluid. And IIRC all WD21's came with ABS. But only for the rear tires, same for HardBody Trucks. Hope this helps!

Oh yeah, they were known working bulbs from red pathy, and apparently the ones in there looked as new as the ones i just bought for red pathy a few months ago, so maybe they tried to diagnose it as well..but not deeply. Thanks though! I'll be checking the continuity of the ground and power wires to see if they're any good..same goes with the o2 sensor..
  20. Woo! Alright, so after researching and tracing down wires, I find that the power wires are even broken inside, but it would not supply enough power to light up my LED 's.. Finally. But. I decided to re-run the power wire from the relay, so now it works just like stock! Both fogs work perfectly and its normal now. Thanks! Now only two issues left, o2 and alarm.. So tomorrow ill try tracing along my o2 sensor wires and see how that goes.
  21. You may have a point.. The PO was a firefighter, so one of the fogs were wired into with their lights, i'm guessing. So, I should wire my lights up manually? I just want them to work, as i use those connections for my brush guard fogs. I'll try running a new ground first. I remember i had a similar issue on red pathy, like say one of my connections went corroded on the fog on the dirver side, it knocked them both out, because when id wiggle it, both would come on, so it has me believing its wired in parallel somewhere? Not sure. I'll check the O2 now! Thanks! Yeah, the alarm system..I like it, mainly because it IS a pretty funny sounding system, but, i like having that little bit of extra security, knowing that if anything happens, ill be able ot catch anything happening, plus, i liked having a remote. Thanks! I'll post if i find anything out.
  22. Yes! Test light works because I tested it at the battery before testing at the fog harness. My meter reads the same as battery voltage where ever I ground it and it's touching the hot wire of the fog light. If I turn the fog light switch off, voltage goes away.. That's why it makes no sense that I have voltage but.. No power? Will do! Any clues on where the relay would be? Also, if you mean the fuse by the battery, right off the hot side, then yes that fuse is good. (looks identical to the red pathys fog fuse and same location. Thanks!
  23. Done, that's where I got the 13.5v from was the power wire and the ground wire at the fog assembly. I went ahead and tried using a test light, with no dice. Tried grounding at the battery, nothing. Tried grounding at the frame, nothing. My volt meter shows voltage at the power wire and wherever i ground it to! That's what makes no sense..It says it has power, but..it seems impossible as it wont even power a test LED...
  24. Alright, so, I've been messing around with a few things that dont work on pathy and it's this: Alarm system Fog lights O2 sensor has a code, according to haynes, is a short somewhere. First off, i check the pins running to the alarm system..it has power (a greenish wire?) Both fuses are good, but have no voltage going to them? My LED does not ever come on, but it does work, as i can make it light up with my voltmeter. I'm just wondering how i can fix my alarm system, when none of the board looks burnt inside and the contacts are clean (older model alarm system..(94) it has blades? My 95's system wouldnt swap. Okay, next the fog lights. The switch lights up when headlights are on, and my fog lights dont come on. Okay. So now i check for voltage, and on my driver side, i have 13.5v (yes the engine was running) but yet..the bulb does NOT work?? I take a known working bulb off red pathy and it still doesnt work! yet, it has voltage?! So i take an LED (since they dont take really much juice to operate) and..nothing!! How can i have voltage, but no power? My O2 sensor, as mentioned, the Haynes manual suggests there is a short in the wiring..if so, where can i look? (it's a code 33) Thanks! Pretty sure these problems are much simpler to fix than any other problems the other pathy gave me..hah.
  25. Its sort of a trade for the red pathy, only. I still get to keep it, it's complicated but, this tranny has 120k on it for 150$ and the guy wants 450$ to install it. I really wish I could find a pathfinder with an HD tranny. there is a Pathy there at the jy, it's a 96..that's an HD? If it's still there ill get it, especially if it's a direct swap in.
