I'd have to take a look at what kind of lip you are talking about for a 2-piece skid; but in the end, I think that is the direction I would want to go. I would love to see pics installed for each for comparisons sake or perhaps a drawing with the bold locations for the two... if there aren't a whole hell of a lot of bolts on the one-piece, then I might be game for that one... still curious about the $$ however... then again, who am I to complain - no one else is making these stinking things!

the oil filter on the 3.5 is a piece of cake to change out... a little messy perhaps, but very easy to get to

great pics - If/when I get skids- I'll want to get both the diff skid and oil pan protection - If I don't get something tocover up the oil pan, I'd feel pretty vulnerable out on the trail

I'll let you know what my results are after installing cross drilled rotors on my 02... got them from precision brakes - SP Performance cross drilled rotors. Gonna try and get them installed memorial day weekend - along with the 2" A/C lift... (and diff guard and man hubs - if they fit)

I'd agree with that diagnosis Dr. 88... no drive gear popping out and no starter noises sound like trouble. The fact that all your accessories and stuff work makes me think that the grounds are fine... those things wouldn't be working with the same sort of consistency, I would wager, if there were a bad ground... but then again, I forgot to memorize the Pathfinder electrical schematic, so I could be wrong... :help:

okay - so, the TRW power stop rotors were not available for my truck when I ordered, so I now have a set of SP crossdrilled rotors on the way... these are the ones: http://www.sp-performance.com/Drilled.htm

I could have missed it, but what happens when you turn the key: does the solenoid try and kick out the starter gear? Does it make any noise whatsoever? -> If no, it's electrical... ---> If yes, the solenoid is working as it should, does the starter try and kick over? -------> if no, then it's a bad starter --------------> If yes, then it probably is an engine issue process of elimination - figure out where it is failing first. there is a specific series of events that need to occur as you start the engine. My guess is that since you tried jump starting with both battery and a push/pull and nothing happened, then it's an electrical issue. When you jumped with a different battery, what happened? What kinds of noises did it make?

my dog has been socialized in any manner of situation and, though you can never fully trust any animal, I am quite comfortable with my 2 yr old and my 10 mo old crawling all over him... he just sits there... when I was 10, I was bitten b y an alaskan husky adn have been a little wary of dogs when they make that particular low down growl... anyone that's ever been attacked by a dog knows what I mean by that... it gets your cackles up does it not? consequently, I have no qualms about kicking/punding/punching/whacking a dog that comes at me, my kids/wife or my dog. If you can't control you dog, I am no doubt gonna protect myself and my family

2.01-2.09 for 87 octane is about average up and down the 495 belt of Mass... I got 1.97 at a gulf station 3 days ago - drove by tonight and it's 2.02...

oh, and after you get the steel wheels real cheap... go get something else really cool with all the dough you saved...

I don't know what the back spacing and all that may be, but I have 17" rims on my '02... I suspect that there is enough difference between the 89 pathy and 04 Titan that there would be some issues... that being said, if the bolt pattern is EXACTLY the same and the backspacing is roughly the same, I'd say the only limiting factor is the tire size that you intend to use. And let me tell you, if I may, that there aren't a helluva lot of 17" tires worth their salt out there. Biggest issue is the availability of sizes!!!! I've debated the idea over and over about using 16" stock Nissan wheels for my mud tires when I go to get them, but I just can't justify the overall cost when you can get such cool aftermarket wheels cheaper and with greater availability... 16" wheels would be your best bet in my opinion. Unless you are getting the wheels for free or like rediculously cheap, I'd say skip it and get some cool steel wheels real cheap...
