  1. Here's how I did it: http://www.citlink.net/~mboge/blog/wiring/ Picture 1: Ran the wires from the lights along the roof rack. Picture 2: One of the Q-Towers that holds the Yakima bars and rack. The wires go inside the doorjamb [yes I know it looks like they're pinching but they're not]. I drilled a hole inside the door which gave me access to the inside of the interior pillar. The wires go down that, along the floor under the carpet, up behind the glovebox, and through the firewall. Picture 3: Here's the wires coming through the big grommet in the firewall... had lots of extra wire, so instead of cutting it off I just rolled it up in case I ever had a wire cut or damaged. Picture 4: Here you can see the relay, mounted to the side of the engine compartment with a screw. The wires are all spliced up into the wiring harness for the relay. Picture 5: Here's the wire that goes to the high-beam wire of the headlights... if they're driving lights they're supposed to [by law] only operable when your high-beams are on, but its not like anyone's gonna check. Doesn't bother me. Picture 6: Here's the switch... the wire goes around behind the dash and through the firewall along with the rest of em. You can see it in Picture 4 as the red and white wire towards the left of the image. Any questions let me know.
  2. You don't have to check on them, just request one. They don't make one right now. =)
  3. Hey, head over to www.knfilterchargers.com/products_needed/ and request a FIPK or a 77 Series High Flow Intake for your era of Pathfinder. =) It's the cool thing to do. =P
  4. Emailed her again, she said that they'll email us all if they take any action on the requests... "I haven't heard of anything, but for sure they will email you with any information."
  5. Yep, that's pretty much it as far as I read... they just include different bolts I think... you have to buy the radiator kit separately, or so I understood. Still wary about the shifter problems though, do they cause issues with just the t-case shifter or the gearshift as well? I've got a manual tranny and I'm not sure if I want to screw with trying to lengthen the shifters, etc. etc... thanks in advance. =) update: Not sure what this means, the description that AC has for the body lift says "transmission & transfer case extension". What's that mean? And you're right, "Special grade 8 bolts added for 90-95 Pathfinder applications."
  6. Bump. Anyone have any info on my question above? =) C'mon 88... if you're gonna tell people not to shop AC then toss out some alternatives. =) Thanks...
  7. Anyone know of a good body lift kit for a '93 Pathfinder OTHER than the one AC sells? I checked with Trailmaster and Performance Accessories, but I guess their kits stop at the '90 year. I'm not sure if it matters or not, but if anyone knows of a good, high-quality kit for my era of Pathy...? =)
  8. There's some instructions up here, basically scans of the installation instructions that come in the box. Looks like its your model too, but it doesn't really matter.
  9. Yep, positive wires run from the lights to the relay to the battery, negative wires run straight from the lights to the negative battery terminal, then the relay has a wire straight to ground, then there's two skinny wires from the relay to the little switch, and one little wire from the switch to switched power, theoretically by law, driving lights can only be activated when your high beams are on, and fog lights can only be activated when your low beams are on. The high beam switched power is the red and yellow wire coming out of either of your headlights, or at least it was on mine.
  10. They were $24.95 I believe... the product page is here.
  11. Some people have good experiences, some don't, mine overall has been alright, I ordered some clear bumper lenses and they came in perfect shape, which is more than I can say for the box they were in... they just tore up an old box, turned it inside out, and used it for my order... some guy's HandSpring came shipped in it previously. =) Got some of the caps for the steering stops too, and those came today.... after about three or four weeks of waiting. =)
  12. I'm with you on this one, I mean, after all, if no one KNOWS that we want aftermarket parts, they're certainly not going to just make some out of the blue. By showing enough interest to the manufacturers, they'll realize the profit potential and start making us some good stuff.
  13. Hey, I think we should all head over to www.knfilterchargers.com/products_needed/ and request a FIPK or a 77 Series High Flow Intake for our era of Pathfinder, I requested one and talked to a K&N rep about it, she said they usually get on new products pretty fast if the demand is shown, and I don't think they're gonna make one just for me. =)
  14. Yeah, seeing as how there's a Wal-Mart just about everywhere now, just go buy a cheapo disposable camera, take the pictures, waste the rest, then take it in and have them post the pictures online, about $2 extra or so... or you can have them on CD, which is around $5 or something, if I remember right.
  15. Read before you post... =)

Nope, looks like you might be dealing with a "dealer-only" issue. Overpriced and sometimes a hassle to deal with I know, but you're probably best off hackin' it out with them. Even if you don't have a local Nissan dealer, if you call one that's close they can usually get you some pretty valid information without actually having to see your car.
  17. Was it tough or relatively simple?
  18. Alrighty, I was considering one for my 1993, but its a manual transmission, and I've heard bad things about the shifters not working once you lift the body. Any information on this, or does someone have an installation guide along these lines? Thanks. =)
  19. I'm with 88pathoffroad on this one... if you're working on a big project and you hit an obstacle in the middle, say you need some bizarre part, like the studs example, or maybe you just can't figure something out and need to come post on the board. =) Then your truck's just sitting there. You'd also have to have some extremely high quality tools at a reasonable price... and someone thats around that knows how to use them. If I needed a torque wrench, for example, I have a buddy that has a cheap one, and that'll probably work for my uses. It would have to be worth the while. Sounds like a great idea, and with the kinks worked out, it could definitely be cool though!
  20. Just about the best place is Automotive Customizers... they have a huge selection, and while some people have had problems with their CS and pricing, they're a very valuable resource. Depending on what you're looking for, Spencer Low Racing also is an option, but I'm not sure about their selection of Pathfinder parts. You can also check out Calmini PureNissan for some more stuff.
  21. Alrighty, I'm sorry... I had to. =)
  22. I'll quote badcat off the AC boards: 1. Go to local qualified offroad shop. 2. Tell them "I want front solid axle put to my Pathfinder." 3. Wait for them to stop laughing. 4. Pull insane amounts of money out of your pocket. 5. Agreee on details, leave Pathfinder there, come back when it is done.
