  1. Yeah, I think they are, the Warn instructions have a diagram for a "drive flange" hub, but I think the '93-era are different than the next generation of Pathy. =( Anyone else? 88? =)
  2. Yep, that's the way it is with mine too. The speakers were 5x7's, but mine needed JUST a little bit of trimming to get them to fit right. Check first. =)
  3. Here's another picture of the axle and wheel.
  4. Alrighty, I removed the hex-head bolts that hold the stock auto hub on and it slid off in one nice piece, as you can see by the pictures. Am I now ready to just slide the body assembly of the new Warn hub on and bolt it down? The instructions say something about removing the cap of the auto hub and retaining some parts, but they don't say anything about them again later. The only pieces that I can remove from the stock auto hub are a sort of ring, and a small spring that holds it in... presumably for the auto-locking feature. Anyways, check out the pictures and let me know if I can just slide the new hub on and go from there. Thanks... I'm out in the garage RIGHT NOW.
  5. Yeah, I was going by the way I wired my PIAA lights and remembered there were two wires for the switch, one to the relay, and I thought the other one was ground... it's the power for the little light in the switch. My bad.
  6. 1. You can ground the lights together. I think. Ground is ground, you can do it separate or together, doesn't really matter. 2. Speaker? You mean lights? The wires would go from the 12V out on the relay to the thicker wires of the lights. 3. Nope, the switch has to be grounded also, I believe. You can ground it anywhere you want. I think that covers it. =) Someone correct me quick if I'm wrong on any of those.
  7. Search for "steering stabilizer". http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=1044
  8. 88 has a writeup on his site, but it seems to be rather down at the moment. =(
  9. The kit comes with a wire specifically for the coil wire, it has a 90° socket boot factory crimped on one end, just use another of the boots and terminals that come with the kit so you end up with a short wire with 90° terminals and boots on both ends. The stock coil end has a little bigger boot on it, but that's no big deal.
  10. Its some sort of reinforced nylon material, I'm not sure exactly what they reinforce it WITH, but that's what it is. =)
  11. Found this but it might not be what you're looking for: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=33659
  12. Nope, the 90° socket end that comes with the kit worked just fine.
  13. That's excellent. Yep, you could, but I think those feathers might cause a problem.
  14. Yeah, its insanely easy to do... I didn't have a skidplate so I didn't have to worry about that, so I'd say about an hour TOPS... mostly because it took me a while to grind off the centerlink brackets, I was using a compressed air cutoff wheel so the compressor kept running out of air. =) Its completely cake, especially if you play around before you actually go out to install, read the directions and check the parts so you know what you're doing. Should take an average Joe about a half-hour to do it all without any hang-ups.
  15. Yeah, if its dangerous when a bird gets sucked into a plane engine, I can only wonder what it's going to do to your V6.
  16. Alrighty sweet. Ordered some, we'll see when they show up and I'll update then. =)
  17. So you don't even have to worry about having them unlocked during normal city/whatever driving? Does it affect them at all since there isn't any power to the wheels if its not in 4WD?
  18. I'm not contradicting you here, but couldn't you theoretically leave them locked and then have 4WD when you shift into it? I'm not saying like lock em while you're driving around town, but before you start on a trail lock them so you don't have to do it in the middle of a mud puddle or something. =) Or does it not work that way...? Anyways, sounds like a solid idea to me, I think I'm going to go with some.
  19. How about some manual hubs? Found the Warn Premiums for about $130 new... are they a decent upgrade? What's the benefits over the stock auto hubs?
  20. Yep, I've heard good stuff about: http://www.purenissan.com/d21_steering.htm.
  21. Right. I just finished an SAS over the weekend too. Sweet huh! =P
  22. I looked around but I couldn't find any specific info... the only information they have on their site is about the arms for the Hardbody, but I assume they must be the same. I couldn't find a dealer that listed a price for the Superlift arms, but I'd guess they're in the $200-$250 range?
  23. I checked with Rocky Mountain Suspension and they only carry the 86-90 Performance Accessories kit... and yeah, I suppose I could get the blocks and the bolts and all necessary hardware and put it together myself, but I'd just as soon get a kit with it all there for me. =)
  24. Yep, that about sums it up. If anyone has questions about the Rancho option, toss 'em at me. I did it myself, and that's mine in the second picture! =)
  25. Not really. =( Welding work around here is sketchy at best... I'll be moving to college next year so there should be someone around there that can make some... so that's on the back burner for now. =)
