  1. yay for the polls Redpath :aok:

I voted for the R50's I do think they are th enicest pathy out there bit I do like the W21 as well. They remind me of a Tank which is pretty :cool2: It actually grew on me as I drove the one I have for awhile.

  2. Well here it is been trying to get my wife to sign up for an account forever but she's still never.

The R50 pathy is my wifes since I rolled my jeep she was the one that made the decision as this would be her vehicle. We checked out so many vehicles I think everyone. Then she laid eyes upon the pathy and she loved it!

Her first words: Oh that's sexy sly mmmm ok

So she took it out to the local trails and this was the LE model and she hammered it all over the trails. So she drove it back to the dealership and first thing he said to us. What the heck did you guys do (the pathfinder was covered mirrors and all) to the truck? If I would of known that then I would of let you take out a old model. Her reply I'm not buying that model therefore what purpose would that of served. (This made me laugh It was so funny)

So ended up buying hers in Calgary they struck a great deal so there it is.

    The R55 is another story.

  3. Welcome to another Canuck!  Soon we will rule!  -alcohol-

    Will, Lotus Land, Canada

you mean become the 51st state?

    anyway, welcome 94gary

Or you will all convert and seperate into provinces ;)

    I recommend at least.... I don't know say 14 P...

BTW welcome WAVEY best forum out there Gary

  4. As for an aftermarket bumper - I am assuming you mean the front... for your year 1996 - the only ones that make it (as far as I know) is TJM, however they have discontinued the line. I know a few suppliers still have the aluminium ones in stock (if you like the shiny bling type), but the black steel powder coated ones are a rare find.

(Again, I apologize to vengeful, as he sits there hating me as he reads this - I'M SORRY!!!)

I have the TJM, which isn't supposed to fit my truck (I have a 99.5), and it fit with little issues... The only bumper for my truck that is available is the ARB safari - which is pretty nice looking, but mucho diñero. I have no idea if it would fit the 96-99's....

So TJM discontinued the Black one?!?!?!? Damnit!!! Man the R50's are without a doubt the bastard child when it comes to aftermarket parts.....Oh well...still resisting the dark side (Heep!)

Would I be considered a trader if I got an X????HMMMMM?

You can still get an ARB might take awhile but at least it's still offered.

    :aok:

  5. Just to piss you all off some more. Isn't the X's the "real" new Pathfinder anyway?

I find myself at odds here this would be the second time I agree with Vsicks Pathy

I say the 05 X has more in common with the pathfinder line then the 05 pathfinder.

All width Dimensions + length are the same, motor same just bored for more hp & torque.

I think it's a mix of the old pathy(has frame) and the R50 (has everthing else) motor and all matching Dimensions.

Yes for the new pathy -bounce- I've converted the X

  6. Well on the 95 I bought there was just surface rust so my boys and I are just sanding all the rust of then I'm going to Rocker guard it.

1 side is done took 1 day using a drill and wire bit.

I was kinda thinking man this surface rust sucks but after seeing your pics I'll shutty :X

  7. OMG! Runnerman! You were a VERY VERY VERY lucky man! That Lib is SQUISHED! How'd it happen? (I am retarded..mighta missed the tale)

Hey slick hit Black Ice and rolled around 5 times.

    So yep very,very lucky :Magic:

    Here's a different angle.

I used to have some nice offroad shots but when my other pc died all was lost except for some that I could manage save.

  8. and what happened

All in all it was a nice trail vehicle just needed a lift. I went out with a buddy with his explorer and pulled him out a few times he never once pulled me out.

After can never drive or sit in one again. Not to mention it was costantly at the dealership for Warranty work every second week, and for long periods of time.

This is how I drove so many different SUV's & trucks. It was covered in the extended warranty.

  9. Ok here's my Lib before the rolled I did take this Jeep into some pretty good trails. The only thing I totalled my stock skidplates underneath as it hit bottom many times. I had the pre-lowered Liberty.

    Here's some pics.

  10. Maybe you should read my post before YOU sprout off...smartass.

I meant that it seems that it is the general consensus that we like the simplicity of it, the fact that it looks rugged and the overall look of the vehicle.  I think Nissan could have done a better job with the grille, but at the time, that was the standard for SUV/Truck front ends.  Two Headlights, grille and straight bumper.  There was no such thing as a plastic bumper cover on a truck back then.  Trucks weren't built for style in the late 80s and early 90s.  They were built to be used and abused.  They were intended to be simple and rugged.  The Pathfinder is the most elegant of this era SUVs, without any doubt.

You cannot put a 93 Pathfinder next to any of the uber-plush, overfattened, superluxury Mall-Crawlers of today and say it looks even remotely nice.  But when you line it up with other SUVs from it's era (pre-95 4Runners, Early Monteros, Rodeos, Explorers, etc.) it takes the cake.

I can say this for sure. As ugly as the Pathfinder front is it is not as ugly as your model. Nothing added to the front of the late model improves the look.

    What is a smartass?

I'm thinking you know this answer

Not to hinder the point Vengeful but vsicks lives to get rises out of people it actually entertains him. Even when he's proven wrong it's like talking to your wife when she's reading a book -study- she, well he in this case just doesn't listen

    :P

  11. Do you not realise that you are blessed with a Nissan?

Have you not learnt that your Pathy is by far the better 4wd?

Does your Pathy suddenly come to a halt when it lifts a wheel?

I have a mate with a dual cab @!*%ota and he gets stuck everywhere. As soon as he lifts a wheel it's over for him. He has to get a run up to climb a steep hill if it is rutted or undulating. He has leaf springs on the rear and an IFS set up front. The thing has no articulation at all. So after pulling him out of everything that the Pathy just drives through I am entitled to call them @!*%otas.

I do realize that I am blessed with a Nissan. I'm quite happy with my choice, and the extra 5g's in my pocket, as my Pathy has been an excellent vehicle. Primarily because it gets me to work and back every day. As the Toyota probably would have. That's the point I'm trying to make. They may be sh!t offroad, I wouldn't know, never offroaded in one, but they're a good truck in terms of reliability.

To compare it to a Heep in any way doesn't make sense. There's a reason why resale value is so high on Toyota's.

Yotas are pretty good offroad as well and they are reliable.

Before our Nissans we went out into a lake with my brothers 4runner a Z71 Chevy tried to enter the trail, he just ended up getting real stuck and when asked if he wanted help. His reply was If you can get in with that, LOOK at what I'm driving. Funny thing here after he said that he was so stuck and cursing up and down he finally just left.

    It was actually quite entertaining.

  12. I downloaded the first wmv expecting to see a mighty Pathfinder swallowing all that lay in its way and then spitting it out behind it. Instead I got an eye full of @!*%otas on easy tracks trying for the life of them to make it look hard. It took me 3 minutes to DL and another 4 painfull minutes to watch. You better get those pics up soon, you owe me big time now! 7 minutes of my life waisted!!!

Oh man that's just to funny :D:D

  13. Hey dwrounds if you e-mail me I can give you some detailed info on the skidplates.

As for the 10G Champion to 3/16" don't be sucked in by having the 3/16" there only a 1/32 thicker then the 10G. Not only that if you somehow mangle your 10G Champion on the trail (which I can't see happening) send it back. I'll send you a new one Free of any charges.

The 10G front skidplates for the pathfinders are super strong with all the bends that I have put in them. This cuts your weight down on your front end.

Since I'm getting into more vehicles I'm thinking of trimming down the selection for the Pathfinders as in thickness sizes. I am running out of room.
