  1. I seem to be getting a faint fuel smell from the engine at start up. Any ideas on what that might be from? I know it is a pretty vague question, thanks in advance for any insite you might have.
  2. I have EBC Green Stuff Pads as well and Centric Rotors. They work great for me. Not sure about sloted rotors if you are going to be in the mud they could just provide more places for stuff to get stuck.
  3. If you can get the nut and bolt that go through the bushing out, that would drop the diff and probably allow you an easier time in getting the 8 bolts that hold those brackets to the diff off. Definately let me know if you discover any tips or tricks.
  4. I'm going to be replacing the whole front diff including the mounts some time in the future, I don't think you are that far from me, but if you'd like I'll let you know when. We could do them both at the same time. I say future, but it may be a few months.
  5. more power to you if you cvan figure it out, but with a Unibody that relies on those doors for rigidity it might not be worth it.
  6. New front Diff in the garage..thanks, 02silerpathy!

  7. You can still get new mounts and bushing from Nissan for the r50's, at least I could for my 02 Pathy. Nissan calls them Front Final Drive Mounting Cushions. Part numbers 54730 and 54710M in the diagram at this link http://www.courtesyparts.com/pathfinder-parts-r50-1996-2004/genuine-nissan-parts/power-train/389-front-final-drive-mounting/-c-4700_4701_4769_4798.html
  8. Ok, I was figuring it had to be somewhere near 100 pounds. Just curious cause I'm picking it up from 02silverpathy, he's aobut 3.5 hours away from me and I was thinking of bringing a vehicle more fuel effiecent than the pathy to go get it. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't so heavy that I would need the pathy to bring it home. Thanks for the input guys.
  9. no...sorry, I was talking about what the service manual calls the Front Final Drive, or I guess the Front Differential Carrier?
  10. Just curious if anyone could give me a ballpark weight on the front axle? I'm going to go pick one up and I was just curious. Thanks in advance.
  11. Keeping an eye on materials is part of the job, just found a carbon negative concrete as well.
  12. Here's an interesting article on Moldable Metals. Could be a nice way to make a bumper. Stronger than steel, Novel Metals are as moldable as plastic
  13. The Pivo concept has been around forever. It is still ugly, but the bubble roatating 360 degrees for reverse is an interesting idea. I like this one better.
  14. Saw 2 Pathy's in accidents in the snow today :( poor pathy's with bad owners.

  15. Architect Intern (working towards the license so I can actually call myself an Architect legally) here...only feasible use to Pathy's would be modeling custom parts for fabrication...I can model pretty much anything in 3D...or building/designing a Pathy Shelter.

  19. And the odd part...that is only 1 of the 2 campers that were there.
  20. Hey guys, Anyone have a CB in their r50? If so, where and how do you have it mounted. Haven't gotten one yet but I will be soon(ish). Just wondering what everyones thoughts are on the best spot for it. Thanks, Pivo (Rob)

  24. If you do end up bleeding the brakes, one thing I learned from experience is to disconnect the battery before you do. The first time I bled them and didn't I ended up with the brake light on for a few days. It eventually went off but just something to keep in mind.
