  1. no...sorry, I was talking about what the service manual calls the Front Final Drive, or I guess the Front Differential Carrier?
  2. Just curious if anyone could give me a ballpark weight on the front axle? I'm going to go pick one up and I was just curious. Thanks in advance.
  3. Saw 2 Pathy's in accidents in the snow today :( poor pathy's with bad owners.

  4. Monkey, You could try e-mailing your question to John at Jackson Autosports I'm sure he would be mor ethan happy to answer. Or, try posting it in the original Missing Link post as I think John has been following it. 5. Thanks for all the reply's guys....my 6 disk in dash is dying as well I was thinking of going with double din replacement but I might reconsider that now. Fleury's I do like that set up as well I'll have to keep that in mind. Thanks again all.
  6. Hey guys, Anyone have a CB in their r50? If so, where and how do you have it mounted. Haven't gotten one yet but I will be soon(ish). Just wondering what everyones thoughts are on the best spot for it. Thanks, Pivo (Rob)
  7. If you do end up bleeding the brakes, one thing I learned from experience is to disconnect the battery before you do. The first time I bled them and didn't I ended up with the brake light on for a few days. It eventually went off but just something to keep in mind.
  8. Sorry Fleurys I that case I would be intersted in THAT.
  9. I second all of the settiments here. Especially since not only is Jackson providing a r50 part, but was also nice enough to get on the forum and offer a suggestion to someone trying to fabricate their own. That said, if you were to create a ice set of skids out of thick plate with reinforcement ribs and counter sunk bolts if the fastened areas are prone to skidding. THAT I would be interested in.
  10. Took me about an hour with some PB blaster and alot of patience.
  11. Count me interested in the Strut bar as well.
  12. John, Thanks again for creating a great product for the r50. Please let us know if you come up with any other parts for our oft forgotten Pathy's.
  13. Got my link and installed it this weekend, I notice a marginal difference in handling and stiffness, nothing too extreme though. All in all I think it was $50 well worth it. Especially, in sport of a shop that is actually producing a part for the r50.
  14. Just wondering if anyone would be able to tell me the size of the hard line required for my brakes? Also, what type of flare do the fittings require? Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide.
  15. I ordered one, for $50 I figured it was worth a shot, no BS Fueler. Now it just needs to get here.
  16. I know what you are talking about my weather striping does the same thing. It generally gets pulled away from the corners I find that the extra you need to make it stay on has usually gotten pushed under the step guard at the bottom of the door opening.
  17. Magnet is not one of those things I carry around with me all the time....actually I am not even sure I have one in my house (not even on the frig). But thank you though for the common sense reminder.
  18. Does anyone know what material the front differential housing is made of? Is it cast iron or cast aluminum? Thanks in advance.
  19. Yea, I sent them an e-mial this morning, I'm assuming they aren't there on Sunday. Should hopefully get a reply by tomorrow.
  20. Been about 2 weeks, I'm still waiting for mine to arrive.
  21. Just ordered mine, should be here in about a week. I'll let you guys know how it works out.
  22. They accept Visa or Mastercard over the phone (204.235.1123) The name I got in my reply e-mail was John Jackson.
  23. Just got an e-mail back from John Jackson of Jackson Autosport. He stated that the "Missing Link" would be $48 USD shipped. This was to NJ, not sure what the shipping for other states would be. It was basically $10 shipping. $40 Canadian translates to about $38 US.
